Also, of course they aren't going to explicit say that they are going to be revealing the per-order date and prices in that event. This is just a blog announcement for an event, not a breakdown announcement of every little thing that's going to be in there... Honestly, I can't wait for them to get that information out of the way so the Internet can stop whining about it and focus again on what's really important: the games.

This is a good move also.... Too many high-profile games coming during this Fall season (all eyes will be on them). Releasing it during that season might have been actually bad for this game (financially speaking).

Take your time. Better to release the game next year (Q1).

I think people have high expectations whenever a remake of an old game is announced/shown, especially for a once-popular franchise like this...

At the end of the day, this doesn't look good, especially when you compare it to what other studios are doing remake-wise (example: Demon's Souls remake by Bluepoint and SIE Japan Studio).

It amazes me how we keep seeing (via capture footage) and/or hearing (via interviews) about games being played on the PS5 compare to the Xbox series X, which, up to this day, has yet to show something actually running on that damn thing… Frankly, that’s just mess up.

Anyhow, this game looks neat. I can’t believe it isn’t a full priced either. I will probably get it once it comes out.

Really looking forward this remake. I really enjoyed the old one (original game).

@japongt the majority of people do not have their PS1/PS2/PS3 games around anymore for one reason or another (if you think otherwise, then you are just delusional), either because they lost them, sold them, or gave them away.

Believe it or not, a lot of people just don't like having old ass video games around their houses/apartments collecting dust and taking space, especially when they know they aren't going to be using those things again in the future in a substantial way.

So yes, for them, absolute BC with PS1/PS2/PS3 games (discs) is just worthless, so they do not care... Now, you can either accept it or be a t**** about it.

As long as it is BC for PS4 games, I'm all good.... I don't have my PS1/PS2 games around with me anymore, and I have never being eager to play my PS3 games again either. I just don't care...

@Ken_Kaniff you don't even know how many of their games (and which ones) will get port to PC, or even when.... so, you are just going to wait and hope a game you like releases on PC 4 years later after its initial launch? I just found that notion to be kinda moronic, not offense.

Anyhow, to each their own... you do whatever you want if this idea of porting of some of their older games upsets you that much.

It sounds OK… Although, I hardly find this to be one of "most exiting PS5 projects yet". That's just stretching it.

I'm not interested in the game per se.... but I can't deny that it looks really good.

The first game was OK. I liked the game atmosphere and overall art-style, so I'm interested to check this out.

My problem is when game franchises that weren't meant to be Game As a Service (but single game experiences) suddenly turn into one.

Games and games until end...

Open the next event with the Silent Hill soft reboot, then let us know that FromSoftware is working in a new exclusive IP for the system (after they are done with Elden Ring), and end it with Kojima telling the world he has an horror new IP in the works.... Showcase the new UI using Spider-man: Miles Morales with another game. Done! It is a wrap... You got a a winner.

P.S. realistically, I can see them showcasing the new UI using Spider-man: Miles Morales and revealing a new game, hopefully the rumor Silent Hill soft reboot. Plus a tear down of the system and whatnot. BC with older generations (PS1, 2, and 3) I do not care whatsoever.

@AdamNovice I don't care about Gabe has to say, never has, especially when he doesn't explains why... Now, that Domino's ad towards Halo Infinity, even though harsh, was pretty funny at the same time.

I'm not fan of the overall character designs of the MCs and some of the walk cycles (0:39, 0:52) look weird as heck. I’m not sure about this one right now. I need to see more.

I like the song they played at the end of the trailer though.

I could care less about this. Not a fan of this whole Game Pass idea. I hate the idea of not having actual ownership of my games.

I’m not worry, I will be just disappointed if any of these companies buy those studios. ATT should keep investing on those studios especially since gaming is bigger than ever (but we are talking about ATT here; they just keep making moronic decisions, one after another).

Anyhow, whatever happens, it is what it is... Also, I gotta to say that 4 billions dollars is a lot of money for these particular studios (especially without the IPs that made them successful; I guess there is Mortal Kombat, but I have never care about that IP... I’m more of Street Fighter and/or Guilty Gear guy when it comes to fighting games).

Everything about this looks uninspiring and bland, even for a work in progress. I also hope those cut-scene animations are better in the final built; the facial work and body movement gives a lot to be desired (but then again, Assassin's Creed isn't really know for their quality cut-scenes animations).

@Olmaz That's the least thing to worry about this work in progress gameplay video. Also, realism or not, she is a viking for god's sake, wtf did you expect her to look, like Tifa Lockhart from Final Fantasy VII remake...

Same old, same old, but with a more cartoony art style and designs. Hell no, I’m not paying 60 bucks for this. I’ll probably give it a try once it is in discount though.

I was really hopping for the title to be Crash Bandicoot 4: it's Time to Crash and Burn

For some reason I have never been fan of any of the Crash Bandicoot games, so I can't say I'm stoked for this new game, especially when it is been developed by a studio which best games (since 1990) consisted on remasters of older games.

Anyhow, I recently played and finished the remastered trilogy, and I thought it was OK at best, nothing more, nothing less. I might try this game after it gets discounted though.

I'm more of a Ratchet and Clank fan, especially the gameplay aspect of it.

I'm not fan of these type of racing games, but power for those that do.... I'm more into something like the Destruction AllStars game shown during the PS event. Now that game looks fun.

@Akurusu You got to be kidding.... PC gamers are the worst when it comes to port begging.

Remake it to the point it looks like Persona 5 graphically and I might actually care about this. Plus, I'm sure as hell I won't be wasting 100 hours of my time again in a RPG that I already played years ago on my Vita, no matter how much I liked it during that time.

I want Atlus (Persona project team) to focus and start planning and working on the next Persona installment (Persona 6). That's the only thing I care, not ports of old games. Hopefully the next installment won't be high-school centric as that it is getting stale. Let's branch and try new settings please...

I'm all up for a change.... better than what the Xbox is doing with their UI (which is already crap, btw) by leaving it practically the same as their last console. Who cares about change (generations) and innovation right? By now, I'm sure as hell Xbox does not...

I'm still excited about the possible revival of the franchise but only if Team Silent is working on it (if not, then forget it)... After the team went separate ways, the Silent Hill games became average to mediocre at best.

Also, if by the end of August nothing is reveal, then I will forget completely about it, and move on.

@iamtylerdurden1 true... but don't worry, they are definitely the minority, so you can ignore them. They are just loud and more vocal (like usual). Everything is a negative and/or a disappointment to them to the point of being laughable.

@gollumb82 I have read and heard from couple of reviewers (not from the US) that are playing the game that the PS4 (pro) sounds close to the same way it did when they played Uncharted 4. Same loud intensity you get from most of the most recent PS4 exclusives, but not as loud as some of those other reviewers are making it out to be. I guess this will be different from each user...

That is a really good CG extended commercial... Lighting is superb, animation and camera movement/transition is smooth, shot composition is excellent. Any one that actually knows and works with high-end CG pretty much will love this.

@kenyowa I'm sure they did a good amount of testing with blind players (plural) to see that it works properly... You just don't create/built accessibility options like this without testing them with their corresponding groups (blind, color-blind, etc). It will be a waste of time if you don't.

Frankly, I could care less about BC for (really) older generations (PS1, PS2, PS3). As long as it has BC for PS4 games, I’m good... I bet the actual percentage of those wanting to play those older PS1, PS2, and PS3 titles is really low… I would prefer if they put their resources into remaking (not remastering) some of them instead (aka Resident Evil, Shadow of Colossus, etc). Now, that’s something I can actually get behind.

Same old story with some of these Middle Eastern Countries. Nothing new here, but something to be expected. I’m sure those there that want to actually play the game will find a way to get hold of it.

The demo looked amazing… I honestly can’t wait to see what Sony’s owned studios can achieve with the PS5 in the long run after seeing this… especially studios like Santa Monica Studio, Naughty Dog, and Guerrilla Games.

Until Xbox shows actual exclusives worth playing.... I could care less about that brand (like pretty much the rest of Europe and Asia; Xbox what?). The way MS have treat this current-gen is just pathetic; they know it, you know it, everyone knows it...

While PS is ending this current-gen by releasing 2 major exclusives games, MS is doing basically nothing... so why should I expect they won't do the same thing this coming new-gen... PS and Nintendo is all I need...
