@DreadfulDragon the crazy thing is this mass appeal is akin to killing the golden goose, there is no gold inside, they will just lose their golden eggs
The massive problem people have is thinking way too simplified and targeting something that actually is the core founding pillar of the success. Turn based is quintessentially the heart of these franchises, when they rip out the heart the IP survives on budget, name and legacy alone... I am hopeful that we will see intelligence return for some developers though
@armondo36 I totally disagree with this and it's the downfall that many franchises have fallen into. When you become like the others you not only become samey, but you destroy the legacy that built you
Expedition 33 picked up from where other gaming developers betrayed and they are reaping the rewards
E33 picked up all the slack that's been missing the past 15 years in serious turn based photo realistic RPGs. For the feats achieved and bringing back the direction that's been sorely missed it's my game of the decade
I find those who "don't need" trophies are often those who enjoy them the most. We should stop looking at trophies as some kind of dirt, they are fun. Of course we don't "need" them, you don't "need" a lot of things that are complimentary in life, but they are all nice to haves and they absolutely do make playing a game more interesting
@Rob3008 there's a reason they are one of the most financial stable companies, through sensible decisions. If you let bad things start happening to your company the snowball will start rolling and before long, out of control, out of money, out of business
Fanboys galore in the comments... Won't be happy until there's no competition and they're paying double to whichever company "wins" that doesn't care about them and has monopolised under their own wills
Thankfully business finds a way to keep at least some competition, the gaming side choosing is one of the biggest turkeys voting for Christmas examples out there
@Flaming_Kaiser that argument is never used for PCs which have plethoras of different configurations... It's a good excuse for bad utilisation and laziness though, also a false veil for the blinkered
Played Alan Wake 2 on release and I think it's crap. Completing it felt like a chore and towards the end I was just wanting it to end... Pretty bad experience
When this and even more so SH2R gets fixed for the PS5 Pro... I hear there are issues with this game as well! It's becoming a running theme now it seems
Sony really need to put pressure on Devs who promise something and do not deliver on the pro enhanced promises... It's got to be a contributing factor to less sales of the Pro
Unfortunately for KCD2 this is game of the decade for me. To break through the misconceptions that people don't like or want a photo realistic turn based RPG these days has pleased me greatly. Glad they took the plunge that I knew was a huge gap in the market and to be so successful, very happy for this developer
@Gremio108 I'm with you, 3 for me is the worst in the franchise. I think some of it is because it didn't get released in some places, like the UK, which made it more sought after and appealing years on
Such a huge disappointment... I don't understand the benefit of this over remakes/remasters or a full blown Suikoden 6. I can't see the money argument, who actually cares about this? They get nothing from me that's for sure
I really don't understand the logic behind articles like this. Cheaper, more powerful and 2027... You can't have everything, that's just not reality, one of these 3 factors has to move, that's just reality

It's so dumb and annoying...

@UltimateOtaku91 exactly this

Re: 'Deeply Concerning': GTA Dev's Alleged Union Busting Has Now Reached the UK Prime Minister
Everything to Keir Starmer is "deeply concerning" he then ignores it unless it aligns with his agendas...
The topic doesn't matter, injustice is on far greater scales

Good, exclusivity is bad for gamers and competition. It's only good for companies and strange fanboys

Re: PS5 Shooter Pragamata Could Have Been Two-Player, But Capcom Decided to Make You Play Co-Op with Yourself
Personally, good, features always come at a cost and compromise no matter what
If a feature isn't included that I have no interest in it can only be a bonus for me
Re: PS6 May Go Uncontested as Rumours of Next-Gen Xbox Cancellation Force Microsoft to Comment
An uncontested console is not good news for players... But the PS fanboys gotta learn the hard way, along with all of us
