@twitchtvpat I think 2030 is actually a best guess, enough time needs to pass to allow an affordable technology gap between the pro and the 6 while also keeping the costs down for the general consumer to afford the end product. I'd even say 2030 the earliest!
@ShadowofSparta there are certain levels that the lore can be bent, not broken, I'm annoyed than things just can't stick to bases anymore, it simply dilutes a series... If people can't see the damage it causes then only time will show them
The arguments are all very superficial on whether Ciri should be the main character or not. Personally I have no problem with a female protagonist, but I have a huge problem with shoehorning. The lore was very clear and making Ciri a Witcher goes against a lot of that lore, the laziness of that shoehorn is concerning
@LavenderShroud I personally think the lesser of the 2 evils is the other way considering MS are at least open to cross platform where Sony want to monopolise...
Remember, we are not part of the company, we are consumers and what should matter to us is what's best for us, not a tribal preference
@DonJorginho it's all about cost effectiveness and time, if we are to see a substantial increase in power for cost, then at sub £600 we're looking at at least a 2030 release if not later. Unless Sony decide to take a massive hit on the consoles themselves... To the extent that's necessary it's simply a case of cost effectiveness
@Lofty1985 what are you expecting from a PlayStation source new article website? The Pro is the flagship console now, I would be surprised if we didn't get more articles showcasing the differences, it's the entire point!
@TheTony316 I fully agree, I think the PS6 will realistically be 28/29 and wouldn't even surprise me if it was 30. There have been some vast halts this generation, Covid, chip shortages, slow game development and those delays will only delay the future also
@tclarke90 From what I've seen so far on the tech inside from the Digital Foundry reviewing it's going to be well worth it. I wouldn't get too tied up over the CPU. It's good you mentioned GTA6 because I think that is very likely going to be the game that showcases the Pro model, let's see what happens
Doesn't matter how powerful the machine is, down to game optimization, I played through on the series X with pretty much no problem until the end game, the whole world was about 20fps. I will wait for the DLC before buying the PS version!
Well, when people realise the PS6 will cost the same if not more and won't release until 2028/29, with PS5 Pro additionally likely being the last disc possible console, there may be a change of thought on it!
@BNAG_Gamer if it releases as early as 2027 and spec wise be significant enough to be better than the PS5 pro then it will undoubtedly be around £1000 if not more
People all seemingly want to have their cake and eat it, better specs, lower price AND as early as 2027??
I honestly think it will be 2029 and target a £600 price point, that will give enough time to allow a large enough distance and tech performance for £ specs to become economically viable
Don't worry! I won't be spending MORE money to buy a plug in peripheral that should come as standard as a complete packing for what is the "Pro" version
So if I want the disc drive it will cost me around £800? That's $1050, sort out your conversion rates Sony, that's a shambles and a disgrace. Does the attached disc drive function the same performance wise as a built in one?
It's impressive how salty owners of hardware are for upgraded versions... Waiting for those who buy a Pro to complain about the PS6 and on and on and on...
@Cloud39472 for me it's not 5%, lots of the scenes are overly cliche and cheesy, plus the very main part of the game for me is a completely different game, that being the battle system
Call me a conspiracy theorist, but it's almost like there's an agenda against quality turn based dark RPGs, there is a huge gap in the market left by the PS2 era
Game devs had no problem in the 80s 90s or 00s and personally I loved those games more. You could argue that games are a lot more complex these days, but to cover for that we have engines and far bigger teams to cover the shortfalls

What an honour!
Re: Kadokawa Wants Sony's Full Commitment with Buyout of Entire Company
@LogicStrikesAgain as far as I know of Sony has the most exclusive titles by about 3 or 4x that of microsoft, so rather questionable statement...

Re: Talking Point: What Do You Think of the PS5 Pro, Three Weeks Later?
Far too early for judgement.
This is the flagship console for the next 4 years at least and as with all tech, diminishing returns will always be a thing moving forwards
Re: 74% of PS5 Fans Would Be Interested in a Handheld
74% seems way too inflated... Unfortunately people's positivity doesn't always relate to them putting their money where their mouths are!
Re: Assassin's Creed Shadows To Overhaul Series' Sedentary Stealth Mechanics

I want our games to be good again 😔
Re: Assassin's Creed Shadows Will Not Have a Paid Battle Pass or Subscription on PS5
Who cares? I was done with this game a couple months ago... No interest whatsoever in the direction

@JohntheRaptor just wondering if those same people will have the same reaction seeing the PS6 the same price come 2028~
