The Big Suikoden Livestream Was a Bust (Unless You're into the Mobile Game)

They should remaster the ps2 games and release them in a trilogy pack. With the strong sales of 1 & 2 this should be the next logical step.

Gaming world is drowning in remasters and people still ask for more.

I'm sure remasters of the other games and a new console game will come eventually, but 1 and 2 did only just come out to be fair.

don't understand why some people are so accomodating towards konami. this is who they are. they do not care about the hobby and gaming as a medium, merely their bottom line. the culture at konami died 15 years ago now so this showcase should be the expectation going forward. i will admit that silent hill f is a pleasant surprise, but make no mistake, that is an outlier. konami will focus on remakes/remasters/mobile trash for the next 10-15 years... once that well has dried up, we'll see how they pivot.

I've never understood the love Suikoden III gets. It just didn't resonate with me at all. I found the graphics babyish and the writing a massive step back from the first two.

I'd be more interested in a localisation of the Suikogaiden games, which never reached these shores

I don't expect a new mainline Suikoden from Konami. They don't have any creative talent who can continue Suikoden.

The most logical thing to do is to remaster Suikoden 3-5 and Tactics.

@ShogunRok I don't think we're gonna hear anything about the other remasters until after the release of star leap since we already know there plan to continue the franchise from when they were doing the developer updates and even said if it the remaster does good it's even more incentive to go forward and we'll it performed better than they expected

Suikoden 3 and 4 are already on the PS3 store for far cheaper than any remaster would cost. Same reason why I'm not getting the SMT Devil Summoner games because the originals are $10 each.

Such a huge disappointment... I don't understand the benefit of this over remakes/remasters or a full blown Suikoden 6. I can't see the money argument, who actually cares about this? They get nothing from me that's for sure

@Gremio108 I'm with you, 3 for me is the worst in the franchise. I think some of it is because it didn't get released in some places, like the UK, which made it more sought after and appealing years on

@neillaw Good point, that probably goes a long way. I remember being gutted it wasn't coming out in the UK. Meanwhile Sui 4 gets all the stick, lol

@Gremio108 yeah I never understood that. 4 had its flaws but I like the ship battles and would rather play it over 3 any day. I just couldn't get into it at all. I don't mind the remasters but yeah translating all these games we never got would be amazing. Instead it's fans that really seem to do a better job putting those out for us.

@Slayn_Fallsmyer Same here, I'd much sooner replay 4 given the choice. I should look up a fan translation of the Suikogaiden games, maybe I'll do that
