@AdamNovice I think it's also got to do with how much hate female characters with a personality attract in video games. They're supposed to say very little and wear sexy outfits. Anything else is pretty much unacceptable.
"Points were made about consumer law and ownership. UK law is very clear: it requires information to consumers to be clear and correct. The Government are clear that the law works, but companies might need to communicate better. In response to a specific point made by my hon. Friend the Member for Leeds South West and Morley, I should say that it is particularly important in cases where projects fail or games have to be pulled shortly after launch that the information provided to consumers is clear and timely"
@Slayer25c context is important. The psvita cost a whole lot more for research and development than psportal. There were exclusive games made for it, taking resources that could have been spent on ps3/ps4, they must have spent a significant amount on advertising.
Oh, and most importantly, it was sold at a loss, unlike psportal.
So, yes, all things considered the psportal unlike the psvita has been a success
We don't need them anyway. They always made no difference to me. They can release them to as many platforms they want. I know I'll greatly enjoy them on a ps console.
@Northern_munkey oh, man. I'm so sorry to hear that. I hope you feel better soon. And thanks for recommending Halls of Torment a few days ago. I added it to my wishlist and will get it as soon as it's on sale. Greatly appreciate it.
I've had a discussion with many developers and they all told me that AI is rather reliable in terms of fixing bugs. So, I don't mind it being used for that.
@Eld are you kidding? Anyone who paid attention is well aware that most people (including myself) stated that they fully expected it to flop. Now is it a massive success? Perhaps not. But it's definitely performed way better than we predicted.
@BAMozzy I think they are. For example, I've owned all main ps consoles and handhelds, but I'd never buy a ps4/ps5 pro. Many others, like me, are ps players with zero interest in such products. So we're not their target audience.
@BAMozzy yeah, no I get that. But not everyone can or is willing to spend that kind of money for a handheld, so I still consider the comparison moot. They are products aimed at different audiences.
As soon as I realized it, I stopped buying ps5 games. I only have Ratchet & Clank that came with the ps5 bundle. I also haven't bought a physical special edition. They take up a lot of space and I hardly do anything with them. I still regret buying the special edition of Killzone 2.
I really like mine, but I don't get why it constantly refuses to connect to my ps5. I'm forced to stream games most of the time, but the selection is limited.
@opo02 yeah, I mean when my life was pretty bad and I had nothing going for me other than video games, these things bothered me a bit more. When you have a more balanced life, they become quite insignificant.
@Northern_munkey didn't people overwhelmingly vote Labour because everyone hated the Tories? I haven't been in the UK in ages, but that was my understanding anyway.
@whmchrish think of it this way: if someone wants to play a playstation game and they don't have access to a TV because their kids or their partner is using it, what are their options?
@themightyant I feel the same way. In addition to the literally hundreds of games that I have and I'd love to have the time to play (so not just games I own), there is so much on ps+ extra that I simply can't keep up.

Re: Horizon Sales Update Cements It As One of Sony's Strongest Franchises
@BamBamBaklava89 they just can't resist jumping on a hate bandwagon.
Re: Another Horizon Online PS5 Game Is Coming Before Horizon 3, It's Claimed
@nyr2k2 you’d be surprised
Re: Another Horizon Online PS5 Game Is Coming Before Horizon 3, It's Claimed
@LogicStrikesAgain they just really don't like the idea of GaaS.
Re: Another Horizon Online PS5 Game Is Coming Before Horizon 3, It's Claimed
@nyr2k2 or maybe some people don't spend much time online?
Re: Dispatch (PS5) - Interactive Superhero Show Is a Damn Good Time
Wonderful! Adding it to my wishlist. Hope it does well enough
Re: Ghost of Yotei PS5 Sales Surpass 3.3 Million Units, Crush Boycott Nonsense
@RoomWithaMoose couldn't be further from the truth. Evey time someone said something (about themselves!) he didn't like, he called them liars.
Re: Ghost of Yotei PS5 Sales Surpass 3.3 Million Units, Crush Boycott Nonsense
@Oram77 don't worry. Facts don't matter to them. They'll surely find a way to spin these numbers into something negative.
Re: State of Play Announced for 11th November, Focus on Japanese PS5 Games
I'd love a Soul Sacrifice remake/remaster, though I realize it's highly unlikely.

Pretty clear, I'd say.

Re: All's Justice Looks Like the Most Fully Featured My Hero Academia Game on PS5 Yet
To say I'm excited for this game would be an understatement!
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 606
I managed to beat Absolum yesterday and now I'm trying to figure out what's left to 100% it.
Excellent game that's perfect for co op, as long as it's not someone online who randomly quits.
Edit: also, how could I forget? The absolute time sink Vampire Survivors.
Re: Don't Expect Any PS5 Exclusives from Square Enix in the Future
@Max_the_German you talk about global appeal and only mention Japan?
Re: Don't Expect Any PS5 Exclusives from Square Enix in the Future
@Toot1st well there are also more ps3 users, but how many are buying ps3 games? Same with ps4.
Re: Don't Expect Any PS5 Exclusives from Square Enix in the Future
@Max_the_German so Japan = world?
Re: Don't Expect Any PS5 Exclusives from Square Enix in the Future
@graymamba I think it's more about PC or switch than xbox

@optic_efun11 Apparently, it varies greatly. It's perfect for some, terrible for others...
Re: Sony Cracks Down on Fake PS5 Gear, Sues eBay Seller for $2 Million
I think the logo here is the problem. They can still make knock-offs all they want.

@cainhurst94 no, burden of proof is on R* for firing them in the first place.

@BAMozzy exactly. So they're vastly different. That was my point anyway.

@belmont Doesn't the Ally cost far more, though? You got a point. They're vastly different.

Re: Remakes Eclipse Remasters for PS5 Gamers, Generate Double the Money
Most remasters look awful to me. If it's not a proper remake, it's really not worth my time

@StitchJones I don't think anyone reeeeally cares, but it's kind of fun to look at.

Oh, noes. How dare the game work as intended? I demand a refund!!!11
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 605
Still playing Absolum, but it's seriously kicking my butt. A great game, but a little tough for me. Maybe I need more practice.
It's also a shame I can hardly ever find anyone online to play with. Has anyone had similar issues?
Re: Sony Stands with Japan's Creators in AI Copyright Crackdown
@Questionable_Duck she looks a bit like Ichigo's younger sister (Bleach).
Re: Sony Stands with Japan's Creators in AI Copyright Crackdown
@LifeGirl wait, you mean it's not a non-profit organization? Switching to Nintendo right away.
Re: Rumour: PS Portal Could Be About to Get Even More Compelling
I really like mine, but I don't get why it constantly refuses to connect to my ps5. I'm forced to stream games most of the time, but the selection is limited.
Let's see if this ends up being true.
Re: Millions Tune in for Halo PS5's Reveal on PlayStation's Social Media Accounts
@OldGamer999 absolutely. I have no interest in fps, but the more games (esp. good ones) the merrier.

Re: Sony's Rumoured Handheld May Be Years Away, But Ghost of Tsushima Is Steam Deck Verified Now
@LifeGirl no one reasonably expects any exclusives for it.
Re: Sony's Social Media Tribute to the PS2 Borders on Insulting
Man, imagine being a gamer and feeling constantly insulted. Must be exhausting.
Anyway, for some reason ps2 was my least favourite console, though the God of War games were excellent (minus the puzzles).
Re: Cult PS1 Fighting Trilogy Battle Arena Toshinden Coming to PS5
Dear God. They really looked that bad back then, didn't they?

Re: Mini Review: PowerWash Simulator 2 (PS5) - A Bigger, Better, Squeaky Clean Sequel
Such a shame they refuse to give us a PSVR2 port.
Re: The Possibility of Ghost of Yotei DLC Could Be Down to You
Sounds like they want to do it, but need to convince Sony that enough people want it?
Re: The Awesome Absolum Smashes Through 200,000 Sales in Its First Week
Glad I was part of that. Smaller decently priced games deserve all the success imo.
Edit: I've played it for less than an hour, yet already died several times. Highly recommended.
