@KundaliniRising333 I think that it makes all the difference. Plenty of games with attractive girls covering themselves as little as possible on the playstation store. Yet most of them fail. I just checked out the new games section and it's full of "anime girls", "succubus" and the like.
It's not just that "sex sells" as a lot people assume. It's more nuanced than that.
Freaking higher-ups, man. They make all these wrong decisions and face none of the consequences. Meanwhile the average employee loses their job for having done exactly what they were told to do.
As a primarily handheld gamer, this is great news for me. Since Sony isn't making a handheld and there is only so much the portal can do, I may actually go for it, depending on price, of course.
I have enough Steam games for several lifetimes mainly thanks to Humble Bundle.
@Deoxyr1bose "The entire point of trailers is for people to judge them".
According to whom, exactly? Certain trailers are put together as announcements. Also, there is a massive difference between critical and the quoted tweet. Some people's entire existence revolves around criticizing others.
But if I've learned anything about the vast majority of gamers who comment online is that they care more about finding something to hate on than actually playing games they enjoy.
@Oram77 hey, if it doesn't matter to you, it's all good. I personally find it embarrassing. That's all. Like they don't have a good game and need to reduce it to the lowest and easiest way to attract an audience.
@Oram77 already beat it, but thanks for the suggestion, I guess. Plenty of games with beautiful female protagonists. This is simply ridiculous, in my view, just like it would be if male characters had abnormally big bulges and were the center of the advertisement of a game.
@TerranIV since it's "not real life", in your own opinion would it be ok if there were to depict whatever they want? Children for example?
Personally, I don't have a problem with nudity of characters that look like adults, just when it's front and center, like a "buy this game because of nudity" premise that certain games have. Though I'm all for such games existing for people who want them, I find them embarrassing, just like I find needlessly shirtless guys in TV Shows and movies.
@ChrisDeku once again, very well said. It was the same with Clair Obscur: Expedition 33's success. People who don't understand how evidence works tend to blow things out of proportion.
@Can-You-Believe-Sith I wouldn't mind it. After I beat a certain game, I never replay it, so if they got months of actual fun/enjoyment, it wasn't wasted money.
@Bentleyma it took some people 10 times. But eventually it worked. In my case, I don't know if it helped, but I kept the console on, clicked on the download screen, and as soon as the game had been downloaded, it immediately started downloading the extra file that it requires to launch the game.
@Bentleyma it is, but it only worked, after I deleted and redownloaded it several times and after I deleted several other games to make more space for it, even though there was no need for it, as the extra file that it downloaded was only around 300mb. That's what I read online and thankfully it eventually worked.
It's a decent game so far. The battles are really fun.
One of the few ps hardware I never owned. Back then I didn't want to lose access to all my physical games, so I skipped it. It was definitely ahead of its time.
@Cornpop76 "It's funny how if you put out a message that something is bad, a lot of people will perceive something as bad. Sheeple effect. Same if you gave someone a Big Mac but told them it cost £80 from a gourmet restaurant, they'd rate it higher than if you told them the truth."

Re: MindsEye (PS5) - GTA Producer's Latest Is a Futuristic Faceplant
@LifeGirl yes, because we all know that sales = quality
Re: Rumour: Data Miner Claims to Have Found Evidence of Halo on PS Store
@Frmknst why some people can't understand that their opinion isn't fact is beyond me.

@RadioHedgeFund this! 100%

Re: Reach Is the Next PSVR2 Adventure from the Makers of Synapse and Vendetta Forever
Looks incredible, but I can only imagine how much sickness I'd experience if I ever played it.
Re: Action Adventure PS5 Game Echoes of the End Shows Real Promise in Debut Trailer
@AhmadSumadi my thoughts exactly. I simply can't get enough of them!
Re: Reminder: Look Out for PS5 Logos in Today's Xbox Showcase
@Oram77 I see. Thanks for the clarification. And as for TLoU2, I couldn't agree more.
Re: Reminder: Look Out for PS5 Logos in Today's Xbox Showcase
@Oram77 pretty sure plenty of people can. For me "killing it" is releasing a masterpiece like God of War or The Last of Us.
Re: Everyone's Talking About Body Horror Game ILL for PS5, Apparently
Would be a perfect VR game.
Re: Stellar Blade's New Body Double Teases Outfit from Upcoming DLC
@wiiware dear God...
Re: Stellar Blade's New Body Double Teases Outfit from Upcoming DLC
@wiiware Eve is indeed unrealistic. If you can't see the difference, you probably don't want to in the first place.
Re: Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls: All Confirmed Characters and Stages
Storm alone makes it worth it!
Re: Switch 2 Has Mario Kart World, But You'll Soon Have All You Can Drift with Garfield Kart 2 on PS5
@Dr-zoidburg nah. They're just trying to be funny (and succeeding, imo).
Re: PC Modders Are Already Making Skimpy New Stellar Blade Outfits, And Eve's Body Double Wants to Model Them
That "loneliness epidemic" is so hard to explain.

@N1ghtW1ng hello, darkness, my old friend...
Re: One of PS5's Most Popular Games Will Blow Your Mind
@N1ghtW1ng (just realized, you beat me to it)
Re: One of PS5's Most Popular Games Will Blow Your Mind
Alright. I officially feel old. Thanks, guys.

Re: Here's Your First Look at Project Spirits, the Next Flagship Title from the Makers of Stellar Blade
@Propaperpusher just wanted to say that 99% of @Czar_Khastik 's posts are meant to be funny. This, too, is supposed to be sarcastic.

The sheer second hand embarrassment.
Re: Stellar Blade Dev Massively Upgrades 3D Scanning Tech Ahead of Sequel
@Northern_munkey thanks, man! I greatly appreciate it. Added it to my wishlist.
Re: Stellar Blade Dev Massively Upgrades 3D Scanning Tech Ahead of Sequel
@Fyz306903 definitely those, too.
Re: Stellar Blade Dev Massively Upgrades 3D Scanning Tech Ahead of Sequel
They sure know their audience.

Re: Expedition 33 Could Get Much Requested Photo Mode in Future Update on PS5
@Damage99 I almost feel the same. It feels pretty ridiculous, but I assume there is a large enough audience for it.
Re: Despite Black Panther Cancellation, EA Is Still Making Three Games with Marvel
Really tired of all these cancelled games that could have been pretty enjoyable.
Re: Beloved, Brutal Metroidvania Nine Sols Is on the Approach to Selling 1 Million Copies
Alright. Might as well buy it now rather than later. It's already on sale, so perfect timing.

Re: Retro Handheld Manufacturer Anbernic Pays Tribute to One of Sony's Best Form Factors
@djlard I loved that thing to death. I was really sad when it stopped working. And really surprised it didn't do well.

One of the few ps hardware I never owned. Back then I didn't want to lose access to all my physical games, so I skipped it. It was definitely ahead of its time.
Re: 80+ PS5, PS4 Games You Should Buy in PS Store's Days of Play Sale
@RagnarLothbrok I'm very glad it made the list. Excellent, well-made game.
Re: Uh Oh, Anime Fans! There's Another Free PS5 Time Sink Out Now
Yeah, so I downloaded it, but the game won’t even launch. How they can mess up this bad is beyond me.

@MrPeanutbutterz gotta love people speaking for others.
Re: Very Fittingly, Expedition 33 Has Sold 3.3 Million Copies in 33 Days
@RagnarLothbrok indeed, if we ignore all the companies that don’t, they all do.
Re: Sony Temporarily Cuts the Price of PS5 in China as It Seeks to Build Market Share
Dear friend @ozkrmz
Sorry to be that guy, but the burden of proof lies on you:
"So... Sony, overpriced PS5 all along."
Please provide evidence that it was overpriced all along. I'll be happy to read it and admit I was wrong.
Re: Sony Temporarily Cuts the Price of PS5 in China as It Seeks to Build Market Share
@ozkrmz "So... Sony, overpriced PS5 all along."
No, they're just more willing to lose money on each console sold in order to a profit long term.
Re: Poll: Do You Care About the Death of PlayStation Stars?
@Balaam_ dear God...
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 582
Dragon Age: The Veilguard
It's a really fun game and I'm glad that I get to play it via ps+
Re: Hellblade 2 Announced for PS5, Out This Summer
@Supern0va considering how few copies it sold, I seriously doubt most people even played it.
Re: Hellblade 2 Announced for PS5, Out This Summer
@Anthony_Daniels indeed, you'd be bored, because you're entirely miss their point.
Re: Hellblade 2 Announced for PS5, Out This Summer
@Anthony_Daniels not even close. You’re missing the entire point of these games.
Re: Apr 2025 USA Sales: PS5 Ports Award Microsoft's Forza Horizon 5, Indiana Jones Huge Boosts
