There is no way to survive releasing these games day 1 on the subscription service. Microsoft survives only because they only released very few first party AAA games (most bombed) since gp launch (and padded with indie games) and they have loads of money from other sectors. No way Sony could afford to release their games day 1.

Wel, the last time Bungie released a new game was when- about 4-5 years ago? MLB is a niche product and don’t need optimisation. Meanwhile COD alone is an annual big franchise and each entry is developed 2/3 years in advance. Your comparison and including that in the title doesn’t make sense at all.

I just pre-order it now. The reviews are glowing everywhere. Not sure when I get around to playing it with my busy work. but some developers just deserve it. I like the new directions of the story driven and action combat. Not everyone has time to level up everything. I don't like turn-based games. Interestingly IGN praise later side quests which are captivating. What are your thoughts on that?

@Chaotic_Goat There is Humanity and Tchia, both of which are much better than simulator games often debuted on Xbox. And what is the point of playing those small indie games day one? There are many small indie games available on ps plus. All those TMNT, simulator games debuted on GP coming later to PS plus too. Granted there are bigger games like Plague Tale that debuted but that too will come later and the reason it was debuted on GP was Xbox has a barren year with 0 first party exclusives last year and they need to release something on GP.

lol Xbox, after Sony showcase, remind some games coming to Xbox too and its fans rejoiced. What a low and cheap tactic! Making games exclusive for a year is one thing, embargoing the news of games being multiplatform is such a ridiculous tactic. No sure why they want to waste money for that. I told you any 3rd party game debuted on gamepass eventually comes to PS plus. I will never buy any game like that. Now TMNT, waiting for the plague tale next. Can't believe people keep saying gp is of more value. In fact, based on the recent line up, PS plus extra is of much more value.

I am excited about this game. Splatoon is a great game; even being a rip of that would be great. This shouldn't be 70$ though, either free to play or 30-40$ would be great. Diablo 4 is also a live service game full of MTX, it is well received.
People just said rubbish to almost every game at Sony showcase for not being a first party AAA game and just because it is Square Enix. They did not have great years lately but Guardian of the Galaxy, Tomb Raider, and Octopath are all great. Avenger single-player campaign was good too (they did burn a lot of money for licensing though). Unfortunately people only remember the rubbish Avenger live service part.

Games keep coming. Idiots would complain nothing was announced then if they would still complain when announced games don't get released in a year. Sony has changed since TLOU 2 leaks, they don't announce games too early. Meanwhile how many first-party exclusives have been released on Xbox. It is the games released that matter. As long as they release 2-3 first-party exclusives a year, then that's fine.

What more shocking is how low you have become. They just answer the questions (which they probably made up themselves) to give information about there will be new music arrangement. And your title of there will be music in the game is quite misleading. You have been doing a series of rubbish posts based on these in the last few days.

I only finished RE 1,2,3, code veronica, 5 and 6. Unlike others, I really like the co-op aspects of 5 and 6. I hope they remake them too.

Good news. Fighting games are niche and are always daunting for casuals. As much as I grew up in SF II era and used to play SF 2 a lot back then, I haven't played any fighting games for ages (except Smash Bros).

A proof that the graphics aren't everything. Nintendo surely knows how to create lovely characters and fun games. Mario games never have character depth, but everyone loves them. I watched Mario movies a few weeks ago and loved it. I have never played Zelda games and won't play this one either. But I have seen a lot of people spend hundreds of hours in BOTW.

The first one is intriguing except for the finale rat fights which was a bit ridiculous. Still waiting to come to PS Plus/ extra as those games debuted on GP day eventually come to it.

Nothing beats the feeling when I was able to boot up the PS1 disc. Nostalgic and awesome. Own every PS except PS 3.

TLOU 2 is a masterpiece. Who would have thought you would have fought your beloved character as a boss? The climax and that flashback with Joel in between are really strong. Haters just talking nonsense. While they can hate for different reasons, it was pathetic they bring LGBT as a main reason for their hate while that theme has never been part of a major plot.

@The_Crow_Chat To gloat over PlayStation, they really want it. Thing is gamepass has been dry since launch apart from very occasional first party titles. They really need big name. Microsoft will likely raise the fee after the merger. Even now they close the promotion which the vast majority use to subscribe 3 years. Tbh, that whole 3 years have been pretty meh and my subscription will finish in coming Sept.

There have been complaints against Microsoft by smaller competitors in the UK as they have been offering their software free (especially teams/ outlook/ 365) during COVID to NHS. Now almost all NHS trusts adopt Microsoft software and windows. (Although ipad is largely used by them too)

These games are for niche audiences. Plus, any game which launches day 1 on subscription services will be bound to suffer a lot in terms of sales.

It would be nice if this is a third-person view, or at least there is an option. Need a good co-op game.

@ManaOwls There is usually a trade in program once new model launched at least in PS4 era. Originally bought slim 500gb then swap with 1TB slim for minimal price with new FIFA and then swapped with PS4 pro for minimal price again. I sold PS 4 pro at a price comparable to or slight loss what I paid for these consoles once II got PS5.

Excited for this although the only FF I’ve played is FFX-2. I am really glad it is not a full open world. Open world games usually take a lot of time to finish and I simply don’t have time. I like more fast paced action than turn based.

@Thumper Superman or the Flash games are difficult to make unless you take away some of their abilities. Smallville-style powers limit might work though. Wonder woman or maybe Aquaman games might be easier to make. I am interested to see how EA will make the Iron Man game.

Maybe the minority. I like the fluidity they show. And I really yearn for good co-op games to play with my brother. I will still wait for it, as live service game prices tend to drop quite quickly or become free depending on how well they do.

@Psnfanboy79 It is not just that. I notice almost every game which debuts day 1 gp eventually comes to PS plus. So yeah, I avoid buying those games. Examples are back 4 blood, street of rage 4, and even death loop and Yakuza 7 (Like a Dragon). Now waiting for Plaugue Requium and Ninja Turtle.

Looks fun. I am thinking to start playing Destiny 2 with recent one expansion being free and I finished with B4B. Disappointed with Back 4 Blood as I finish all chapters in just 1-2 weeks. What class/ subclass would I take? I am not good with FPS usually.

@get2sammyb I think 50 million is a good number for the gaming market, which is still less popular than movie entertainment. It seems the cap for the latter is just over 200 million.

All these soul games are about patience and pattern recognition, although playing 2 games simultaneously is a feat.

How a game without a good story gets universal acclaim is beyond me. For me, that (followed by gameplay) is the most important aspect of any game. Generally don't like the open world much as they are too time-consuming. I really enjoy games like heavy rain, and Detroit even though they don't have a lot of gameplay elements.

@FatalBubbles Means there are fewer options with Xbox. To be honest, Gamepass was also underwhelming in 2022. You only get third-party indie games with 0 first-party AAA games throughout the year. Since the next-gen, they have only released 2 first-party AAA games. Surprisingly they are doing well just with promises for the future.

But can 499 PC play this as good quality as PS5?

@HunterRose Last I read, Xbox turned down the opportunity to make the Spider-Man game, and hence it went to Sony. Sony asked Insomaniac to make the game. Spider-Man wasn't exclusive just because they bought Insomaniac. Your facts are twisted.
