Poll: Are You Happy with Your PS Plus Extra, Premium Games for May 2023?

I've heard great things about Bus Simulator 21: Next Stop!

Once again premium doesn't deliver. Going to switch to extra when my subscription is up.

Another selection of great games but as per usual everything on the list I deem interesting is already done and dusted. So, can't really vote "I'm happy".

Why did I stock up on years worth of PS Premium I wonder... (FOMO, lol)

will find out if its just nostalgia for the psp thats drawing me to pursuit force.

Yeah, can't wait to get started with some of these on the 16th. If I had to single out one game I'd probably say Thymesia as I kind of have the soulslike itch at the moment.

27p a day for all these games, I can’t complain.

Like usual, all the ones that I would care about, I already have or have already played. The ones I don't, is because I never found them interesting in the first place.

There's a lot of good stuff on Extra this month, I've just played most of it already. With that said I'm pretty curious to check out Humanity. If it really is channeling Lemmings I'll be very pleased. I loved Lemmings back on PC a million years ago.

I don't subscribe to Extra/Premium and voted that way.

Looking through both lists though, there isn't anything coming that I would want to increase my Subscription from 'Essential' to 'Extra' or even 'Premium' tier to play. Every game I would want to play, I have already so it adds 'nothing' that I would consider subbing for to play when I can play them anyway.

I can't deny they have some great games to offer and I would probably be happy with these if I was 'new' to gaming or even 'new' to Playstation just to earn the 'trophies'. I have bought games - like the Tomb Raider Trilogy on both Xbox and Playstation so already played 'twice' - if not more as I also owned Tomb Raider on PS3/360 too...

It looks a decent selection to me and I'd be reasonably happy if I didn't already have those games I'd actually play. I just don't 'need' to supplement my Library with an additional Subscription service with 'older' releases I have already bought or played.

I am happy with my PS Plus Premium subscription as I missed the vast majority of PS3 games so the streaming option has been great.

Each tier's worth will depend on your situation. If PS5 is your first console, Premium is a no brainer to catch up on all the games, if you have all the games you want already, Essential makes sense etc

I dont understand why people keep whining about Premium? It's never going to put as many games out each month as Extra because these games have to be emulated and tested. The selection of games have also been fine as well. I know people are going to complain because their certain nostalgic games haven't been added or they haven't added anymore PS2 titles, but I guarantee you they are working on an emulator that will run PS2 games decently on PS5. They have to be for the longevity of this service. They will eventually run out of PS1/PSP games they can add.

Premium would be decent this month if I hadn't already purchased Ghostbusters remastered, same with Extra and Rift Apart. Looking forward to trying out Humanity, fascinated by it to see whether I'll like it or not. Enjoyed both previous Watch Dogs but haven't gotten round to Legion yet so might jump on it. All in all another great month regardless if already done Rift Apart or not, still something in there for me

Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart is probably the 3rd best RaC game next to Going Commando & A Crack in Time. Glad to see Syphon Filter: Logan’s Shadow on there. I voted for Rain World as I’ve heard it has some unique RNG mechanics.

Premium will start getting value if ps2 games start popping up. I can't think of a ps1 game that I want to play again really. The trials are ok, but still not worth the extra bump. I'd cancel if it wasn't grandfathered in at the cheaper price.

Yup, very happy with the Premium selection. Love Syphon Filter Logan's Shadow and from the little bit I played I liked Pursuit Force, looking forward to revisiting it.

If you're not impressed or at least content with this bunch of games then there's something seriously wrong with ya! Premium aside, Extra knocks it out the park almost every month it seems.

I'm not as blown away as everyone seems to be this month, but I'll give Humanity and Lake a go, and if I get time I'll play the Tomb Raider trilogy.

A good month for me. I plan to play Thymesia, Lake, Ghostbusters
Watch dogs and maybe Sakuna: Of Rice and Ruin.

Great month of games and not doubt all those new PlayStation 5 owners recently will enjoy Ratchet and Clank.

Humanity and bus simulator sound good but the rest I either have or have played.sticking with extra as premium isn't worth it

I digitally bought Ratchet and Clank on PS5 when it launched and still think it to be the most fun and graphical showcase of the PS5/Series X gen so far. I beat it twice and almost got the platinum. I recommend it to anyone a fan of the series or genre. To me it’s a solid 9/10 and one of if not my favorite PS5 only game.

I bought a ps5 this year after taking a 20 year break from gaming. I always find so much good stuff to play every month. I don’t think I’ll ever buy a game as long as I’m subscribed

@Rocky1972 Yeah I might bump it up the list. I can't believe I've never played any of the newer games, I was mad on the PS1 trilogy back in the day.

@Gremio108 I’m surprised you haven’t played the reboot TR games. They are quite good. There’s a contingent that feel they are better than the Uncharteds. They’re definitely more gameplay oriented than UC. I kinda want to replay them, but I’ll have to see if time allows.

Otherwise I’m with you on Lake and Humanity being possible games to give a roll just for kicks. They seem like could be short palate cleaners between big AAA games. Or between Elden Ring and Bloodborne replays, as the case may be.

I’ve always been curious about the Watch Dogs series also and Legion looks the most interesting to me, despite it being the consensus worst. So I’ll probably skip it.

@Ken_Kaniff I agree, only 20$/year more expensive if buy at full price and people moan a lot. You got those classic games and free trials+ streaming. What more people are expecting for 20$ difference?

@Th3solution It's becoming obvious that I need to stop replaying multiple From Soft games and actually play the games I've not tried. A summer run of the new Tomb Raider trilogy is starting to sound enticing.

Own Ratchet and Clank already but what a time to get a ps5 if you don't already. PS plus is great value, sony is killing it. First horizon now this and uncharted.

I've just come across to PlayStation, unfortunately I also have an Xbox so most of the games I would have been interested in are either on gamepass or have been bought long ago.
Ratchet and Clank is a good inclusion but 1 game that should have been on the service from Day 1 isn't enough to get me excited.

@mrbone Exactly, if you plan it out right you can get Premium for under 90 bucks a year during the holiday sales. Even at 120 I think it's a good deal as long as they continue to add classics to the service every month. Long as that continues ill stay on Premium for life.
