Another Six-Month Apple TV+ Free Trial Available Now on PS5, PS4

If it involves giving them my card details so that it automatically renews after the 6 months in the hope that I forget to cancel it then no I won't be trying it.

As long as I don't have to give my card details then I'll give it a go

I tried this via an Xbox deal.

IMO the worst of the main streaming services.

Hopefully it is valid for people who claimed before. Can't see any terms that says you can't. That will put me at almost 2.5 years of apple TV without having to pay. They seem to be giving it away all over the place these days.

Someone on Twitter already replied that it didn't work for them. I signed up for the free trial on my PS5 about a year ago so I'll try again, after I get home from vacation, and let you know.

Just tried to claim the offer in the UK but it said it's not available too me as I have previously redeemed an offer last year

@Member_the_game With these things you can usually cancel immediately but the trial still continues but won't turn into a sub.

If this is still a valid offer when the Godzilla/Monarch show drops I might use it. We already have more streaming services than we really need, tho.

Came here to post this. Foundation is fantastic. Up there with Silo.

Severance is well worth a watch.

@Member_the_game people want to complain, even if something was free. You can cancel as soon as today and then use for 6 months. Even if you didn't cancel and forgot for a month, it is only 4.99. Apple TV indeed has excellent reviewed series.

Does not work if you already have the Apple One subscription, which I guess is because of technical limitations but still feels like absolute b*******..

That's what they literally hope for with these trials. You'd be surprised how many people are paying for subscriptions they don't even use.

@atthegates You can't use the same ones again but got 5 months with Barclaycard and 6 months through Sky, Currys and of course the PS5. Barclaycard are running the promo at the minute but I can't cash in again. Apart from PS5 offer they are all UK based offers.

But if I forget to cancel then it's not technically free is it. I'm being charged for something that I (potentially) don't want.

My point is then when you sign up for a free trial of anything if you want it to renew automatically then it should be something that you have to Opt into rather than having to remember to Opt out of.

They prey on people forgetting to cancel and it's just plain wrong as far as I'm concerned

@GamingFan4Lyf Disappointing but expected. These are usually one time only deals but they usually mention that in the small print.

I've had a free trial (together for 1,5 years or something) twice and never watched anything. Most useless streaming service available.

I used this free trial on my PS5 last year, and ended up keeping it after the trial ended. Some great shows on there that are well worth checking out. Highlights for me are Severance, Bad sisters, Silo, Blackbird, and The after party.

I've just had apple TV+ with my phone contract and I dunno if it's just the awful netflix shows they've been putting out but I've really enjoyed apple TV+ platonic, crowded room, hijack, black bird. I've enjoyed them all

@Member_the_game In situations where free subscriptions need credit cards, I always put a few reminders on my phone so I can unsubscribe in time before it extends. Like you said, it’s easy to forget these things. I’ve been suckered way too many times haha. Just a tip from a random person!

@glassmusic I did. I had a very hard time finding anything promising, since the quantity is also extremely low. Even those titles turned out to be mediocre though.

Don’t think I’ve ever redeemed Apple TV+ or whatever on the PS5 like ever. So I’ll gladly take advantage of this and I’ll use it to watch Ted Lasso and Tetris. The former because it genuinely seems interesting and the latter also because it seems interesting but also so I can get more movies from this year under my belt for a “best movies of 2023” list at the end of the year hahaha.

Ive had 6 months before yet only got 3 months....

Unfortunately, I was not able to get another 6 free months as it recognised that I had a 6 month trial last year

I liked Mythic Quest when I had a 6 month trials year or so ago, but I couldn’t find anything else I liked, but I might give it another go if it lets me. I want to like Ted Lasso (Jason Sudekis had a great cameo in 30 Rock, but I hate football so much, might force myself to watch the first couple because everyone seems to love it)

Though I despise apple, Napoleon has me intrigued. Might do the trial around the release of that and watch severance and the foundation as well. Man, Ted Lasso sure fell off in quality in the 2nd season, no interest in the third.

A few great shows on Apple TV, but it clearly states you can only do this once per console!

@VanguardKaiser I've watched the first few as I liked the sound of it, but after about 4 episodes I'm finding it so slow as to be quite tedious.

I enjoyed Foundation, Severance, and Silo though.

Always viewed Apple TV as kinda meh, probably one of the weaker services out there, struggling to keep up with Disney, Netflix, Now, and possibly even Prime in terms of USPs. Nonetheless, I'll see if my partner wants to watch anything on there. That's half a year of experimentation for nothing, so why not?

Not working because it says I had a trial already. Is anyone who had the PS freebie before getting this to work?
