Re: PS5 Overtakes Switch as UK's Best-Selling Console of 2022

mrbone

Haters will still moan. Thing is a lot of places still sell the bundles at similar prices despite 30£ increase. Pound and Euro have been losing a lot of their values against dollar this year. Saw a lot of news about 30£ increase but I barely see news of Apple increases their pro phone by 150£ but keep the same price in the Us)

Re: PlayStation Bites Back At 'Inadequate' Call of Duty Offer from Microsoft

mrbone

@Godot25 I know you are making things up. You don't need to say these irrelevant things. You are veering from our argument again and again. Shall we focus on the fact that Phil lied on Twitter? There is no signed agreement nor does he offer to provide several years of COD content. (don't say he doesn't need to, yes absolutely true but he needs to appease the regulators, hence he lied)

Re: PlayStation Bites Back At 'Inadequate' Call of Duty Offer from Microsoft

mrbone

@Godot25 Twisting thing huh? Then why didn't he just say he offered 3 years beyond the current agreement? (it is not 2028, it is 3 years after the current agreement which is nowhere equivalent to several). Now you are explaining what happened behind the scene? lol. For me signed agreement means both parties agree and thus signed, it is the word Phil used, not the actual process or requirement. Shall we focus on the argument of Phil lied?

Re: PlayStation Bites Back At 'Inadequate' Call of Duty Offer from Microsoft

mrbone

@Godot25 Signed agreement does not mean it is signed by both parties? And according to this news, this is also an existing agreement. What in Jan? (edit: read in again they offered three more years after the current agreement). We all understand signed agreement means it is agreed upon by both parties. That's when people signed, no? 3 years now is several years? It is just a lie to get this deal through the regulators.

Re: PlayStation Bites Back At 'Inadequate' Call of Duty Offer from Microsoft

mrbone

Xbox fanboys whine here again with similar excuses.Sony fund the games previously to make them exclusive, bought the studios they have close ties with. Unrealistic to compare the different things. The thing is Phil Spencer lies, he lies to make this deal goes through. He offers 3 years, not because he is generous but because he wants this deal to get approved.

Re: UK Government Investigating Xbox's Activision Buyout Further

mrbone

@Dr_Luigi @Dr_Luigi For now they are making this far using firsty party exclusive promise. Have you seen this month gamepass entries? Completely rubbish. Do you simply they are making profits with dlc now? To survive, they need to make most games live services. Hence the latest Halo has gone into oblivion. Something are obvious that you don't even need to make assumption.

Re: UK Government Investigating Xbox's Activision Buyout Further

mrbone

@Dr_Luigi Dont underestimate the power of sharing among people. A lot of people I know subscribe streaming services through various means/share or exchange their passwords.. Yes these non tech savvy people.
First party AAA games cost hundred of millions to develop and their big first party new gen halo game is mostly deserted now despite multiplayer component is completely free. Not sure that would be cheaper for them compared to paying 6 digit figure for simulator game. It will take a few years to see how this play out. But let’s see if they can keep at this price after they start releasing first party AAA games REGULARLY (although they will take the burn initially). Of note is all the movie streaming services keep raising their price once they get a foothold (and subsequently lost subscribers although I reckon games are not as easy to pirate as movies).

Re: UK Government Investigating Xbox's Activision Buyout Further

mrbone

@Dr_Luigi No one is contradicting. I told you above it may be sustainable now as they have only released very few first-party games since launch and mostly padded with 3rd party independent games. The real thing is when they start releasing their big first-party games.

I would say that isn't the loophole, MS just deliberately allows it to increase sub base (since launch- that's where the great value comes from). Surely they would close gwg upgrade at some point, but the important question then is will people want to continue with that price? The thing is most gamers are tech-savvy, and a lot of people have been subscribing through much cheaper 3rd world countries (which they cannot close).

Of course, they believe what they are doing. But the thing is they have burned a lot of money through Nokia and multiple mobile failures before. The point is being one of the richest companies, they have enough money to test the water.

Re: UK Government Investigating Xbox's Activision Buyout Further

mrbone

@Dr_Luigi Too optimistic. The vast majority of people now subscribe using the cheap upgrade gwg pathway or sub through third world countries. If they really charge 15 per month or stricter with accounts sharing, no doubt a lot will leave. At the moment, it seems sustainable as they only release very few (most not so well received) first party games since its launch and make up with small independent games instead. Coincident or not, almost all of these 3rd party D1 independent games are available to rival services like PS plus or Epic at some point for free. Once they start release AAA first party games from studios they bought, that’s when to make assessment whether this is really sustainable without MS deep pocket.

Re: PS Plus Essential PS5, PS4 Games for July 2022 Announced

mrbone

Fantastic offering. Meanwhile, Xbox GWG offers random independent games which include a game given away previously and that was not even the first time.

And you made a mountain out of a molehill when the new PS extra launched in Asia- like how people were asked for money for the previous discount. Fair enough but now Sony is offering a very cheap upgrade price for the existing PS plus users? Where is the news? No single news about that at all.

Re: Mini Review: Resident Evil 3 (PS5) - Disappointing Remake Looks and Runs Much Better

mrbone

I finished the original multiple times back then. The new remake, while lacking some places from the previous game, is still a great game. In a way, the experience is tighter with a more relentless pursuit of Nemesis. I would say this is better or at least as good as the original. People just talking down because it didn't include all things from the old game.. For me it is the whole experience, not stay true to old game nor the overall game length.

Re: Xbox Appeared to Embargo PS5, PS4 Versions of Some Showcase Games

mrbone

@Shepherd_Tallon They have been hiding successfully behind the game pass. It is a good value service (especially the vast majority use the loophole of upgrading with 1$) but mainly offering 3rd party independent games (day 1 release). Some people just ignore they have been offering really rubbish games on games with gold for a long time (since gp launch).

Re: When Is Summer Game Fest 2022?

mrbone

@kpenders Must have so much free time for xbox fanboy to troll here. Your responses have been quite deviating from the news and original point. You said every COD entries been selling 30-40 millions. Thing is the later entries barely sold 20. I brought up Elden ring just to pint iut the figure (basically less than 12-13 million, a far cry from your claim, it is still massive figure). Thing is I couldn’t care less about cod. Stay on point with your arguement by the way

Re: When Is Summer Game Fest 2022?

mrbone

@kpenders Yeah COD is waning popularity with each year. Like you said, it doesn’t matter as it is still multiplat including PlayStation from what they said. And hey it is the executives who are not happy with COD sale. Its number are still enormous (although personally i only own given out free on Ps plus and yet never play). You don't need to tell me about its popularity, comparing multiplat with a sony exclusive. (Although you inflate the number, they never sold 40 million for each entry, the last one was outsold by Elden ring at 13 million). Not sure why you only mention Bungie as there are many other first party studios. Died in 2028, i don't think so, man. MLB sports being a multiplat is no surprising. Even if they simultaneously release their first party on PC, no way Playstattion would die.

Re: PS Plus Members in Asia Irate As Sony Wipes Discounts on Tier Upgrades, Demands Upfront Fee for Stacked Subs

mrbone

@Shepherd_Tallon I saw in a Facebook group. They are from the Singapore region. One has 6 months, and one has about a year of ps plus left. Both of them offered half price for ps extra and deluxe (half of the normal upgrade price- 25 SGD for 6 months deluxe/ 18 SGD for extra tier). Shame I can't share a screenshot here. I agree. While Sony has to bear some blame, this site is now filled with a lot of haters who moan and blow up everything.

Re: PS Plus Extra, Premium Games Will Be Playable Offline, But Will Require Weekly Validation

mrbone

@Northern_munkey It really doesn't make sense why you even raise this question. I don't know what you are even worried about? I really wonder if some of you guys are just here to troll on Sony or if you guys have a genuine concern. If you go on holiday, you don't play games, then what are you worried about? You return home, you can pick up where you left off. If your sub expires when you are away, you resub when you back and then continue where you left off. If you brought your console on holiday, you connect to hotel wifi or phone tethering after a week. If you brought your console to the holiday destination where there is no internet at all, then it is a different matter and you consider to play the games you own in that case.

Re: Sony Shares First Look at PS Plus Extra, Premium Games

mrbone

Great line up. Moaners will always moan no matter what. What’s wrong with including games from ps now and previous ps plus. Not all people subscribe ps plus that particular time. Yes I am a subscriber since 2016 and have about 400-500 games in my library, even for me there are a lot of games I am interested in. For PS now, if you don’t know, it has more or less similar games as game pass, yeah the one you keep praising no matter what. In fact, PlayStation first party games are much stronger (except you want to drive multiple variations of Forza). While the promise of gp day 1 first party games is good, also remember Microsoft has only released a handful of first party AAA games since gp launch, not to mention some, if not most are not well received.

Re: Embracer Group to Buy Multiple Square Enix Studios and IPs in Huge Acquisition

mrbone

Would be great if Sony buys Square Enix and Konami. It would consolidate Japanese companies. Japanese companies own a lot of nostalgic titles. FF 14 is doing very well and in line with Sony's ambition of more live service games. I would want to spend money on Japanese companies rather than Bungie. Only the Tomb Raider is big IP on this list. It is not expensive for Sony or Microsoft but employment of 1100 people can be costly and it may be seen as monopoly if they have further acquisitions in mind.

Re: PS Plus Premium Demo Requirement Puzzling Publishers, Devs

mrbone

As always, focus on the negative and generate angry responses and views. I remember how many articles you create when sony change their store. No wishlist, no image of games blah blah. They fixed them relatively quickly. There will be some teething issues initially and it is totally justifiable to talk about them. But making the a lot of similar news again and again (Like 10-15 articles about no Bethesda games for PS) is ridiculous.
