@IronMike Cliche argument. And cliche explanation- the US price doesn’t include tax and no state in the US tax 20% like in the U.K. EU countries also tax a lot. But generally things also a bit cheaper in America and Asia. I am not sure about the reason they price earbud differently but it is common with tech products. Just wish U.K. cut some tax rate for ordinary people.

The righteous people want more people to get paid, but want the game price stays at the same 60$ and digital at 35$ forever. Voice actors are no longer cheap.

I mean Xbox has been having barren years since the latter years of Xbox One until now (when they have big AAA games back to back). Most people are probably locked into PS accounts from PS4 era. I predict the GP subscription number will go down next year, now that MS 1$/£ promo ended. I subscribed for 3 years but didn't use it much and it expired this month and did not renew.

I probably won't buy it as I usually don't finish horror game, never play Alan Wake 1 and the Remedy games come to PS plus. But I personally don't think digital only is a problem. Game preservation claims only concerns a very minority but very loud voice (still it is rubbish as a disc would only last so long). The only benefit I can see is you can trade-in/sell. I am also not sure why Remedy skipped physical, now that they are owned by Epic. The budget isn't an issue. Maybe they can sell more (as one can't buy used discs) and save some money by not putting on discs.

Saw the news yesterday that their stock has fallen due to this not selling well. Which one is true? One million sale for this type of game is good.

@UltimateOtaku91 Aiming is the word. Whether they can actually do is another matter. The thing is MS with all their financial might can only release 3-4 first party exclusives since next gen launch (yeah that’s about 3 years now)

@MagisterMagi Well a lot of Konami IPs go beyond Japanese markets and are well known in the rest of the world. But currently, their IPs aren't properly used.

Buying Japanese studios like Konami (and maybe Square Enix) would be sensible. Konami has loads of great IPs and the cost would also be reasonable.

@IOI well defend? I mean I have standing like this for 2 years with no problem with heating. I couldn’t just bother to install the stand. You can put it up vertically without the stand. Don't understand the commotion. I now stand on its base without the vertical stand attached.
And coming black Friday, the consoles will be discounted lower than their original price. US has been spared from a price rise before, and even now they have been spared of the price rise of the disc version where the price is raised in the rest of the world. (Although where I live, I blame the high tax of UK- 20% is ridiculous).

I am sure it is well deserved. Games with less than 10 reviews should not be counted. But why these games are only reviewed by a few? To be fair, never heard of these games. Tetris effect is a new game? Unrelated, My Hero Ultra Rumble should be reviewed. Been playing since the weekend, it is quite a refined game but as usual, includes grinding being a free-to-play game. But you review the Honkai game (also free to play), and MHUR is based on a well-known IP. But very few media have reviewed this surprisingly.

I don’t understand why it is a negative point for being familiar. What would you expect? Spider-Man starts flying or driving cars or use guns and shoot enemies? How could you make it different? Make it linear?

It seems there is one Soul-like game every month.

EDF is actually a very entertaining game. Spent a lot of time on EDF 5. Don't be fooled by its graphics.

@themightyant No, but need to add some objectivity. As I said, Gacha system alone should cause at least 2 points deduction. Gacha is worse than add on/DLC where you get what u want. Then the weak story part and others etc. And my comment above was also based on previous Sammy's mention of how much he is addicted to this game.

Unrelated, where is MHA ultimate rumble review? I tried it today, it is a fun game, I like it more than Fortnite. But not sure about longevity.

It would be great if Namco made some of these games story-focused games rather than arena-fighting (even if beat em up with powers true to the source). The manga/ anime is quite lit with a modern take on Shonen. Anyone is not safe and can die in this story.

@playstation1995 Sony doesn't own the IP, so it is not as straightforward as you said. This one is more of nostalgia I guess. I mean outside of the ones who have played before, this game isn't popular AFAIK. Embracer is dying, it is already expected when you hoard game IPs/studios and all of the developers without any project.

The interesting word here is it is not as big as they were. I am sure Microsoft (partly Sony) overpaid initially just to get good word of mouth from developers. The thing is they now realise it is unsustainable. I am sure people also noticed all the subscription prices including movie streaming services have gone up (the exception may be Crunchyroll whose price has gone down in Europe) as the period of focusing on subscriber growth has now finished. The ceiling has already hit.

I like FF16 combat more, don't like command combat but this is still better than a complete turn-based one. For the sake of time, I also don't like a large free-roam area.

@RedShirtRod Doesn’t work like that, dude. Lots of people on service bought yearly sub on discount. There are other costs like staff salary, building, game development. Not to mention, those services also offer other games too.

@Kienda That's why I told u to speak for yourself. You, no expert, are talking for the majority here. What makes you think people wouldn't pay an extra 1$ to upgrade from gold to GP? MS allows that 1$ upgrade until recently.

@Kienda Sound stupid. When do you represent the majority of PS+ and GP subscribers? Speak for yourself. For one, PS Plus essential subscribers were at least given great games compared to GWG subscribers (which is going to be scrapped). Personally, I subscribed to PS plus since I bought PS4. The only online game I play is Killing Floor 2 (which I got it free from PS plus). Yes, I can speak for myself I don't subscribe just to play online.
Why u think everyone who subscribed to gp did so because of the games? I mean if someone only wants to play online but if it would only cost an extra 1$ to convert to ultimate, why wouldn't they do it? That promo is now closed, we will see what happens.

It will get worse with companies raising subscription fees. It is already happening in movie subscriptions. In the beginning, they want the growth in numbers. But when they hit the peak, they realised it was unsustainable and had to increase prices.
With 1$ trial scrapped and the loophole upgrade being closed, expect to see more gp subscribers going down (including me). Might take a couple of years as most upgraded to 3 years

OK hate grinding games like Diablo 4. But for me if a story ends with the base game, then it is complete. Adding extra end-game content does not mean it is not finished. More surprisingly, didn't you give a high score to that cash grab and unfinished game? Why did you give such a high score to it?

@Enigk The good thing is you don't need to grind, unlike Diablo. You can just smash through the story in 30-40 hours and still enjoy the game. I have only played FFX-2 before and thoroughly enjoy this, more so because of active combat rather than a command-based one. I like yourself don't play RPG a lot because when I play I want to do everything.

First time ever watching this event live. Quite good. The aforementioned blind dude win and MK 11 final was also entertaining. Close call. Pretty late in the UK though.

Sony could have sold more PS4 given they keep supporting it until this year. They could have sold at a discounted price like under 200.

These are rubbish comments from salty fans as this is an exclusive. It is a great game with an engrossing story and fantastic gameplay. Finished the game this week after 75 hours. Will do ff mode for more challenge and platinum.

@Member_the_game people want to complain, even if something was free. You can cancel as soon as today and then use for 6 months. Even if you didn't cancel and forgot for a month, it is only 4.99. Apple TV indeed has excellent reviewed series.

It looks fun. There are lots of movies and series which are not critics' darling but I enjoyed them thoroughly. Let's wait and see how it would fare. Amused some people already shot down based on NOTHING. Biased people.

I will trade in if it becomes smaller. I traded PS4 twice with Game to get 1TB Slim and then pro with a minimal fee. I am at total digital camp since the early PS4 days as I can share with my brother living abroad.

27 hours in and at the beginning of act 2. FF16 is a fantastic game with epic Eikon/boss fights and a captivating story. The only FF I have played before is FF X2. Will play FF 7 remake later. Want to get into FF 14 but don't have a lot of time to play.
