No one in the beta test. Is it just me?

Cards and currency are the ones I really hate. Makes the games complicated for a casual player like me. I think this game will come to PS plus/now sooner rather than later.

What does this acquisition mean? Most of the IPs of games made by Dotemu is not owned by them. So in that case, does it mean it is just acquiring employees and property assets?

I wonder about the production cost of this kind of game. Supermassive game make similar games. But the production value seems much lower than Quantic dream.

@mrtennis1990 Heavy Rain is also released for PS4. Play it. I finished it in 1-2 days. Excellent game!

I preordered it. Well worth the price. Would welcome more games like this rather than free to play live service games.

I like this. I buy PES every year just to play online (vs com) with my bro. This would save me money! Apparently PES is making more money from mobile with free to play model and thus they bring this model to everywhere!

Ubisoft version of overwatch. They are trying so hard to have a successful Free to play live service game. EA and Activision have succeeded to a degree. What happened to that hyperscrape game? Don't like all these free Battle Royale games but unfortunately, these games are raking in money.

@The_New_Butler Didn’t know that. I play Switch for its unique games, not for graphic though. To be honest, games I play in switch, never notice the bad graphics. Rarely play as handheld though. Anyway my main driver is PS4 and now PS5.

Don’t think steam deck will hurt anything. At its price point, I would rather buy PS5 if I want to play as docked. But if you have a large steam library, then that might be different. Even then, you can easily stream to TV from pc. As a handheld, I don’t think 2-8 hours battery life and odd button placement would be ideal for that.

@PSoneboi Switch games run 1080p on TV. 720p is on handheld.

@MattSilverado Oops. Not sure about your regional pricing. Heard game consoles are quite expensive in South America due to tax. Not sure why Sony don’t have regional pricing in your country. People took advantage of it and steam has stopped people changing the region last year. Anyway for playstation, what some people tend to do is buying from Turkey, Indonesia and India which are much cheaper. For Xbox, it is Brazil. For Steam, your country used to be very popular.

@MattSilverado It is just a different time of promotion. Terminator has been discounted multiple times on PSN before.

@Bleachedsmiles sorry not convinced. I have generally compared the list. The games I am interested in are either available on both or not available on both. I really would like you to list more out of your too many to list rather than just 1. I really do!! Yeah, Street of Rage 4 was cool but that now available on PS now too. I don't like racing but Dirt was given free as part of PS Plus, still haven't touched that. The thing is ''nowhere near close'' is just the opinion of an Xbox fan, you. In reality, it is not much different (excluding the upcoming 1st party games).

@Bleachedsmiles That doesn’t change the fact I stated there is no new game at the moment for new Xbox. I really want to know which big games on box game pass isn’t available for ps now. WHhat GAMES make you think PS Now is not even close to GamePass? The date availability may differ but ultimately more or less the same. The 3rd party games available on release date are mostly small indie game, not to mention gamepass is 3 times more expensive without promotion. Yeah I currently do have gamepass sub for 3 years (promotion). Haven’t played anything there yet despite being subscribed for last 7 months. I am not into graphic/ performance geek, more into story games. Yeah I might enjoy 60fps games but not deal breaker for me. (Maybe my perception, Spider-Man Miles different modes not very different and I still enjoy equally the original Spider-Man on PS4 or PS5). But really immature of you saying if I don’t agree with you, I become a damn liar. Dude try to be more civil. After all none of us own or invest in Sony or Microsoft!

Isn't it amazing Microsoft getting all the praise for its future projects? Never in the history of console gaming, a console has launched without any first-party exclusive game in nearly a year after launch. Giving gamepass too much praise in this current state is also ridiculous. PS Now has more or less the same game catalogues (3rd parties) for 3 times lower sub price than gamepass. But people think gamepass is great value because the vast majority of people are currently subscribing through the loop hole.

If these games are on gamepass, the they will come to PS Now a bit later too. Look at the Street of rage 4.

Wow is this site merged with Xbox site? Covering news is one thing, but more Xbox news in the last few days than PlayStation! The thing is most of the third parties games on gamepass are also available on PS Now (for cheaper sub prices) and other game sub like Amazon new Luna services. Yeah gamepass is great value for first party games but no need to repeat this everyday. Personally it is not sustainable especially for single player story games! Thing is Microsoft has other big business to cover the losses but not Sony!

Only played EDF 5 before. Surprisingly the game is quite deep with different classes and a lot of replayability. Can be quite challenging. The community may not be big but quite helpful. Hope they reduce a bit of grind for level up though.

Given free to play games are making much more money, no surprise big companies want to follow suite. Fort nite, genshin impact are making loads.Tencent is very profitable. People tend to spend more if micro transactions fee is single digit which do add up later much more than single 70$ fee. They also tend to forgive more shortcomings if the game is free.

Epic revenue vastly depend on one game, fortnite, and they are making a fortune with it as they don’t need a lot of investment just to keeo that si gle game going!

Zombie army 4 is surprisingly good and fun.

It is not bad as a video game adaptation, I did enjoy it. If it is a standalone film, this would be a cheesy B movie. I wish they adapt the recent Mortal Kombat Scorpion’s revenge anime which has better story and more serious tone.

Tried out beta. It is not bad. Still need improvement but definitely enjoyable. Need more modes even if traditional multiplayer mode. They might offer for free and sell in game cosmetics?

I know the Crunchyroll purchase is pending. It would be so much value to me if they include Funimation or combined funi and crunchy with ps plus.

@blinx01 Why do they need to counter? Mlb is on gamepass as the franchise is quite niche and they get money from Microsoft. And mlb 20 was given part of ps plus not long ago and nobody give a darn. Dont forget gamepass is 3 times more expensive than the ps now retail price. As it’s now, it is not three times better and most of the games available are more or less the same. The only appeal of gamepass is first party games and nothing new came out since the new console launch.

Have EDF 5, very enjoyable. The community is not big but very helpful. Wish they fix the clunky control and make the level up much faster

You can still download what you have bought. It is closing down the store, not taking your games away. Who is still buying from PS3/ Vita store these days anyway?

@AdamNovice Agree Disney buying Fox is a much bigger deal than this. I know there are a bout 5-6 big studios but Disney was by far the biggest even before the buyout. If they approve that but not this would be ridiculous especially now that Netflix has now become a major force in anime.

I for one want this deal to really happen. I would like to support the anime and manga industry. A Lot of people are pirating as it is now. Cannot afford to subscribe to both. It is better to pay a bit more to cover both, I am sure it would be cheaper than subscribing to both.

While it should include some classic samurai duels, they should imitate Ruroni Kenshin movies swordplay which have one of the best sword fights choreography in any movie!

It is sad to see people complained about a well made game to cost 70$ but spend thousands of dollars on microtransactions. No wonder mobile games companies are making a lot of profit and company like roblox worth about 30 billion dollars.

Smyths has stocks a few days ago, think Friday. I think all of them should drop the stocks at the same time, this might increase our chance. Dropping at 3 am and during the work hours don’t help. Still can’t get to buy one despite I tired since pre launch.

Baseball is mainly for NA region and maybe Japan. Xbox has no chance in Japan, so this is mainly intended for US gamers. It makes sense to release on all platforms as the gamers base for baseball game is very small.

46 min does not exactly reflect the time. As a lot of people already in the queue, those who are in front keeps crashing. At least they let people in the queue know early. Used to queue on Game website- then when it’s your turn after 1:30 hr, it showed OOS, that’s a lot worse.. The demand is really really high. I hope people don’t buy them from scalpers, let them rot with all these consoles

TLOU 2 is well deserved for all its accolades. Still using its theme with an excellent soundtrack. The journey is a bit long but well worth it. The final climax kept me on my toes. Need to play GOT after my exam.

Not sure anger and death threats they received last month push them to release this time. That would be a shame. Not a fan of 1st person game generally. So I am not affected at all.

Trying to play cool and act consumer-friendly in the last few years. But they do know it runs crap on last-gen yet they still release it after restricting reviews on last gen. And then celebrate 8 million pre-order. So much for being consumer-friendly. Those who said should not release on last gen, how much proportion of that 8 millions are on last gen? A Lot!!

They would lose a lot of sales if they only release on next gen. I am not going to mention breaking promises here. 7 years of development would have cost a lot of money. They also can’t release it first on PC as they dare openly against DRM and a lot of people would pirate it. Hence they have to sell it on last gen at the same time. It is quite amazing they are worth more than Ubisoft at some point despite no new game in the last 6, 7 years.

Just curious how many of you have old PS2 discs lying around!

Like I said before, it’s nice to have these comparisons. Fanning the flames or not, these are factual. Otherwise Xbox fanboys keeps bad mouthing PS based on that specs sheet. In the end, I know they will be similar. Also interesting to note no one is talking about Series S after the release. I think they shouldn’t even call that next gen console.

I read David Beckham earned 40 millions for 3 years contract with EA to include as icon. Does this mean you can get money after you retired. But if you are still active, the club gets money? But I doubt the club gets that amount of money for all its players?

The dual sense is getting the rave reviews from everywhere. Can't wait to get my hand on of course when stocks are back.

Unlike others, i think this is necessary comparison. Otherwise xbox fanboys will keep saying xbox x is more powerful (yes on paper on some aspects).
