Re: Poll: What Do You Think of the Final Fantasy 16 PS5 Demo?

mac_da_man

I played for a bit and really like what I played. Looks great, soundtrack is awesome, fighting is a lot better than I expected. Skipped cutscenes so cant say very much about the story. Some minor technical issues in performance mode but not much, will probably be fixed quickly.

So it will probably be a very awesome game 😀

Red Matter, 2 PSVR2 – finished and platinumed. Really enjoyed this one, looks and plays amazing and has some clever puzzles. Recommend anyone with a PSVR 2 to check it out.

Planet of Lana – playing this in shorter sessions, like the graphics and feeling etc but its not a game I would play for straight hours even if I like it.

CoD Modern Warfare 2 – so, CoD campaigns are a bit of a guilty pleasure of mine 😊 played the modern warfare reboot, which I really enjoyed, and picked MW 2 from a friend, special price for me, and Im really enjoying this one too. Plus, buying second hand doesnt give Kotick any bonuses 😊 Otherwise the plan was to wait for the games to be on GamePass and play all the campaigns but I have some days before I plan on starting Zelda so this fit perfectly.

PSVR 2 – GT 7 still rocks my boat, picked up walkabout mini golf (brilliant), kayaking in Kayak (relaxing) and Humanity (fun).

(Done, sorry bout the many (), dont know why I did that but there it is)

Apart from the usual games I play

Jedi Survivor – Finished and platinumed. Loved the game, many improvements from the first game. Technical issues remain, but other than that a great game imo.

Ravenlok – so the eldest starting playing this and needed help occasionally and in the end I helped him so much my own playthrough got ruined. Totally worth it though, so nice to play with/help him 😀

Planet of Lana – slowly going through this. Pretty nice platformer.

Red Matter 2 PSVR 2 – great game, think I’ve played like a third of the game. Really fun puzzles and it looks really crisp. Pretty cheap too, so if you have a PSVR 2 I´d recommend checking this game out.

I think we need more games as well but its still early days so hopefully its going to improve. We really need PSVR games made playable on the PSVR 2 for a start.

That said, Im enjoying it a lot. GT 7 will give me hundreds of awesome hours before Im done, if one ever gets done with that game. So for me that one game makes it worth it. There are also more awesome games on it already, Moss 1 & 2, Horizon, Kayak, Red Matter 2 etc.

But yeah, a roadmap for more games would be nice!

Star Wars Jedi:Survivor - finished the main story, its really great. Actually love the game now. So going for the platinum which should be a lot of fun and a lot easier than Fallen Order due to fast travel etc

Ravenlok - slowly going through this. Decent game, looks really charming and plays pretty ok.

Humanity - played some levels in psvr 2 and its a really cool game. Will play more!

Kayak - almost done with the platinum. Kayaking around the Island in Papagayo is almost a daily thing now and the perfect break from just sitting on my ass so Im gonna keep playing long after the platinum.

And of course Apex and other PSVR 2 games, as usual

What I´ve played since last week

Star Wars Jedi Survivor PS5 – really like this game, its a step up from the first and I´m having a blast. It needs patches to fix some technical issues but it´s not so bad it ruins the game for me. Still, better if you wait 😊

Apex Legends – enjoying the new season and the new legend.

Ravenlok on Series S – its a really nice game with a lot of charm, can recommend it.

PSVR 2 – goes without saying really 😊 got my first L in Creed boxing, but that was pretty awesome as it went like 9 rounds and I got a good workout as well. Also GT7, Kayak, Thumper. Hoping for some VR games in the upcoming Sony show.

@Powerplay94 yes it sucks to have to wait when you really want to play a game, so much so that I just gave in and started playing even knowing the issues. They are not gamebreaking in any way though, but you would have a better experience if you sre smarter than me and wait a bit as you say 😅

My gaming since last time

Redfall – so yeah, not going to play more of this dissappointing game if I can avoid it. Bad in every aspect imo, not just the technical issues. Was looking forward to the game so Im a bit bummed by it. My eldest likes it though, imagine that. But then, he and his friends still play Roblox and have fun and given that Redfall pretty much could be a Roblox game maybe its not so surprising 😉

Jedi Survivor – real shame it suffers from technical issues because its a great game and I´m having a really, really good time with it. Still, would recommend anyone wanting to play it to wait for a bit longer.

Brambles – finished it earlier in the week. Really enjoyed it. It starts nice and cosy and gets pretty dark and grim along the way. Its a little bit janky but nothing to bad, can recommend it.

Apex – mostly waiting for next weeks update and new legend

Horizon Burning Shores - finished the DLC and Im really impressed (I know, I’ve said it a million times). Looks and plays awesome. Will keep revisiting just to fly around and enjoy the world they built!

Tchia - finished the story. Decent game, some parts were great and others not so great, but all in all good enough for me to play through

Kayak VR - managed to get gold on the Kings Canyon olympic track, that was quite a workout. Only trophy left now is to paddle for another 50 km, which I’ll do in shorter and more relaxed sessions, which is where the game is most enjoyable

Creed - platinumed it, really fun. A bit easier than the PSVR version but no less of a workout. Looking forward to more PVP games, still undefeated 😎🥊

GT 7 VR - still working on getting gold on all license races, got like 5 left. Its pretty hard (for me at least but I might just suck) so when I get that gold its so rewarding.

Bramble - picked this up yesterday. Its an indie game with swedish folklore made by a swedish team and Im swedish so it was a given. But its pretty good, enjoyed the first hour and looking forward to play more. Theres a demo if you’re curious about the game.

Was going to pick up Jedi Survivor but I’ll probably wait for some patches. Probably wont play Redfall at launch either except trying it maybe. Currently downloading Benedict Fox on the series S and that I’ll play for sure

I’ve been playing

Hogwarts Legacy - completed and platinumed. Love this game! Liked the story, loved the world. Going for the collectibles in the open world got a bit boring but searching every nook and cranny of Hogwarts was amazing. The level of detail and care they’ve put into it is astonishing.

Atomic Heart - wanted to give it a fair shot and played some more but ultimately found myself thinking about other games I would rather play so dropped it.

Tchia - chill, cute and relaxing. About 2 hours in, will probably really enjoy this. Very nice music as well.

GT 7 - psvr 2 of course. Brilliant. Will probably pick up the Moss bundle next week.

s been an exciting week with PSVR 2. My mind has been blown a couple of times.

GT 7 - VR makes all the difference, its so much better. Cant really describe the feeling and the visuals other than its awesome.

Kayak - another gorgeous game, both super relaxing and quite the workout at the same time. Very good game

Horizon call of the mountain - wow, first couple of minutes really blew my mind. I’m maybe 1 hour in so cant say to much of the whole experience but it looks amazing, plays great with the bow and the physics (like lift the kid (damn autocorrect, meant lid of course but kid works too I guess…) of a box to find things inside) and the climbing is done really good imo. Really like it!

Hogwarts Legacy - about 30 hours in and still wowed. Really love this game!

Also, some Apex. To unwind, oddly enough

I´ve been playing Life is Strange remastered. Absolutley love the games. The story, music and the choices. They hit you hard in the feels though. Last time I played life is strange first and the before the storm. This time I played them in the "correct" order, before the storm and then Life is strange. Makes a bit of a difference in how you experience them.

Also picked up New Tales from the Borderlands, will probably start playing it tonight. Beraking that up with some Apex Legends

Re: Game of the Year: Robert's Top 5 PS5, PS4 Games of 2022

mac_da_man

Lol, putting Cyberpunk 2077 as number one is gonna stir some ***** up 😀

I must say I loved that game, once the ps5 version and some patches dropped. Absolutely amazing stories in there, some side quests and storylines are the best I’ve ever played I think. Also liked the main story.

Been playing a bit of different games this past week

God of War Ragnarök - Platinumed it last weekend. What an amazing game. Just love it, start to finish!

Return to Monkey Island - Played through it in a couple of days, not very long but pretty good. Not as good as the older games imo and the art style didnt really do it for me but it was fun and a bit nostalgic. And the hint book was supremely done, hope more games can use the idea of that in some ways.

Forspoken - just played the demo. Looks fantastic, a bit unsure about the game still but will keep a close eye and probably play it at some point

Bramble - the Mountain king - another demo I played this morning. Looks great, developed by a small swedish team. Will def be playing this!

Eastward - great indie game on Gamepass. Im a couple of hours in and considering the game is 20ish hours long I fear it will drag on too much and overstay its welcome but so far I´m enjoying it.

Next week I´m looking forward to High on Life
