AC Mirage - done and platinumed! It really grew on me, liked the story and the gameplay. Nice to get a smaller more focused AC again, as I've said before. Also nice to not have any present day sections for a change. I hope they stick to games like this or for example Unity for future AC games and make the big and bloated games like Valhalla apart from the AC universe as those games would be great as RPGs by themselves and I felt like the AC part of them was more or less just smeared on.

Cyberpunk 2077 - I had to try the latest update 🙂 took the metro to my apartment for a date with Panam ❤️ Just very cool additions which adds a lot to the immersion of the game.

Journey to foundation - despite it being a port which doesnt fully utilise the power of the PSVR 2 (it doesnt look as good and sharp as other games for example) I like the story and the gameplay is good enough if not great. There are better games for the PSVR 2 though, but its a pretty decent game!

Avatar Frontiers of Pandora - I couldnt help myself 😂 Ever since watching the first movie I've wanted a game that lets you explore Pandora and even though I've only played for an hour so far I almost got blown away by how great it looks. Just wonderful! And I havent even played it at night time so looking forward to that. It really is a far cry game though so if you dont like those games chances are you wont really enjoy this one. I've got a feeling I'll love it though. More to follow next week 😀

Yeah, I’ve played about an hour and really like it so far and I feel like I’ll really enjoy the whole game. Pandora looks so awesome already. And Im not tired of the ubi formula and I like the far cry games still but I guess Im in the minority here given the comments 😅

AC Mirage – still going strong, still like that its back to the old formula. A bit closer to the end of the story but I’ve gotten caught up in a lot of side content, which I love doing, but I´m aiming to have the game platinumed sometime next week.

PSVR 2 Kayak – so they added a christmas theme to the Kings Canyon track and its pretty nice. Check it out if you have the game!

PSVR 2 Journey to Foundation – I picked it up in the sale but just barely started playing it. It seems decent enough, not as good looking as some other games perhaps but I plan to play more after finishing AC Mirage so maybe a fuller report next week 😊

Also want to play Remnant 2 on Gamepass, but not sure I´ll have the time for it.

Trine 5 – finished and platinumed. I liked it a lot, it looks great, fun puzzles, nice variation to the different levels and its couch co-op if you want to.

AC Mirage – nice to play a smaller and more focused AC again, after the great but big installments we´ve had. Baghdad makes for a nice setting, really interesting historically and I´ve read many of the games codex entries. It looks good enough but not great, its a cross-gen game after all. Gameplay and mechanics are good but not great due to some jankiness and some very minor bugs and getting stuck on things, Ubi should improve these imo. The story is entertaining enough, laid out over different cases to solve. I´ve about halfway through I think and so far its good. I think I liked AC Unity and Syndicate a bit more but we´ll see in the end. Either way nice to have a real AC game again, and hoping Ubi can make the big games a new IP instead and not call them AC.

As a parent with limited access to a TV at times this would be awesome as I could be near the family but play on this instead of watching an episode of Bluey for the 100th time. I´ve used remote play on the computer etc but I this would probably work better. And I dont want another time consuming wonderful apparatus like the Steam Deck so this would be perfect. (I do, I just dont dare to get myself one because that would f my life up for real )

Dead Space remake - made some progress since last week, Im about half way now. Really like this remake, keeps a lot of the good stuff from the original but adds enought new things to keep it fresh. Impressed by myself that I havent died yet. From a heartattack in real life, that is. Ive managed to die a couple of times in the game despite playing on easy. Not impressive that:)

Jusant - small bits here and there, but mostly on the backburner.

Trine 5 - picked this up since I´ve liked the previous games and this is more of that in a good way. I like the puzzles and finding all the hidden treasures is really fun.

PSVR 2 - aside from VR games I started Spider-Man 2 with the PSVR 2 on and swung and glideflew (is that even a word?) my way around New York. That was pretty incedible. Jumping straight down from a tall building is not for the faint of heart If you have PSVR 2 and Spider-Man, try it

@Mauzuri you’re not exactly giving good reasons to dump Playstation 😂 but hey, its your choice, hope you enjoy it. Still dont get these types if comments though, just stop playing on your playstation and sell it. Hoping to get more people to abandon what you consider the worst console with posts like that? Just seems like a childish fanboy comment to me.

Spider-Man 2 - finished and platinumed it earlier in the week. Amazing game, amazing developer and amazing Spider-Men 🙂

Dead Space - great remake. Playing on easy though, makes it less scary otherwise I would probably have a heartattack 😅

Jusant - nice and relaxing. Playing shorter sessions, which makes it last longer and not get repetetive

Call of the sea - finished this yesterday. Nice puzzler with a story and a setting that I liked. Some puzzles were hard though. (Could just be that Im not that smart though 😆)

Spider-Man 2 - Wow! This game is so much fun to play. The story, the humor, the details are really good. Swinging is superfast, gliding is a superb addition and the slingshots are great. The graphics are super. Is it more of the same? Basically yes, but its such an upgrade I dont mind having already played two Spidey games in New York.

Playing this game just puts a smile on my face 😁

Cyberpunk 2077 – finished Phantom Liberty. Loved it, love the game. Really liked one of the new endings, the one where in the end V is a face in the crowd. Will return for more Cyberpunk in the future, feels like its be a game I´ll return to every now and then. If just to give Panam a hug or two 😊

The Callisto protocol – so gave this a shot, thinking I´d drop it quick but I actually enjoy it quite a bit even if its far from a perfect game. I like the story, the gameplay, the setting. I also like that for a horror game its not scary. I mean not scary at all. You can tell when all the jump scares are coming so its no surprise and the rest isnt scary. Which is good, if it was I wouldnt be able to play it. Im such a wuss these days 😊

Warhammer Darktide – been having some fun with this. It def needs a patch or two, and a better structure for missions imo, but its old school fun and the Warhammer setting is pretty cool.

Cocoon – really good game. Clever puzzles, boss fights can be a bit meh but other than that its great.

Red Matter – although I havent started playing yet I loved Red Matter 2 so this should be great. If you have a PSVR 2 you should play these two games 😊

But mostly I´m waiting for Spider-Man 2. Even pre-ordered, turns out I had a bunch of points in Playstation Stars so got it practically for free. Thats great! Not as generous as Microsofts reward program but hey, its something!

Still all in on Cyberpunk 2077, near the end of Phantom Liberty. ***** me this is a good game now, especially with the 2.0 update. CDPR manages to create a world that looks great and creates an awesome illusion of a living and detailed world if you dont look to deep, butwhere the game truly shines imo is the storytelling and interactions with some of the characters and all the feelings it evokes and some of the choices one must make. And the small things, like getting texts from Panam just checking in, phone calls from someone you did a gig for a while back etc etc. Also, the story in Phantom Menace is great so far.

Cyberpunk is very high on my list of favorite games now. I know I’ve said that a lot but in case someone missed it 😀

Cyberpunk 2077 - I’ve gone all in on this game. I absolutely love it 😁 the changes to skills and cyberware and how easy it is to respec makes it really fun to play around and explore different builds. Im currently playing as a cyberware ninja, its awesome. Just made it to Dogtown, seems really promising.

Also, Panam 😍

Starfield – I´ve finished the game since last week. Its good, very good at times, the main story is pretty cool but some of the side quests are better. Also the best NG+ setting I´ve seen. But I also feel very done with the game and dont think I´ll be playing it again, at least for a few years. Its very hard to not think about what this game could have been with a better engine, less loading screens, less fast traveling (no its not totally optional to skip) less menus, etc etc. But it is what it is.

Joe Wander – picked this up in the sale as a palette cleanser and its a pretty fun platformer. Controls are a bit lacking sometimes but the puzzling is fun and the settings are great.

Cyberpunk 2077 – I´ve been looking forward to update 2.0 and started a new game last night. I’ve only played for like an hour so cant say much yet but it feels like the stability and performance are much improved, and from what I’ve read about the gameplay tweaks this is going to be great. I mean I already loved the game before so this might end up high on my top list of best games ever.

Re: Poll: Are You Playing Lies of P?

mac_da_man

I´ve been playing it just a little on Gamepass, Souls-games are not my kind of games but I really like the setting of this game so might give it a fair chance when I dont have any other main game going.

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 494

Starfield - I think Im nearing the end of the main story, will probably wrap up some side missions first as I found them to be the best missions the game has to offer. But after that Im done. And I dont think I’ll replay it as I often do with Bethesdas RPGs, just dont see myself enjoying it enough. Not a bad game at all, its very good most of the time even with all the issues, its just not a great game imo.

The Crew Motorfest - played the trial for a bit. Very positively surprised at how good it was, like a mix of Forza Horizon and Need for Speed. Will be playing this one for sure.

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 493

mac_da_man

Starfield - its a good game and Im enjoying it but there are some issues. It really is fallout in space, not a bad thing but feels like a reskin basically (not really, bit harsh that maybe). Feels like I’ll play the main missions and bigger side missions but then move on to other games. Oblivion, Skyrim and Fallout 3 I’ve played so many times, but Fallout 4 only once and probably the same with Starfield. Feels like Bethesda needs to change things for the next Elder Scrolls or it might not be all that good.

Edit - I wrote feels a lot. Feels ok though so not editing that 😁

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 492

Played since last week 🙂

Hubris - done and even platinumed. I enjoyed it, but its not perfect. I’d give it a 7/10.

SW Battlefront 2 campaign - near the end, been enjoying replaying this game.

Sea of Stars - one or two hours in, its a great game so far even if Im not totally hooked (yet). Visuals and the feeling is top notch. Will keep playing, at least until Starfield 😎
