Spider-Man 2 - Wow! This game is so much fun to play. The story, the humor, the details are really good. Swinging is superfast, gliding is a superb addition and the slingshots are great. The graphics are super. Is it more of the same? Basically yes, but its such an upgrade I dont mind having already played two Spidey games in New York.

Playing this game just puts a smile on my face ๐Ÿ˜

Cyberpunk 2077 โ€“ finished Phantom Liberty. Loved it, love the game. Really liked one of the new endings, the one where in the end V is a face in the crowd. Will return for more Cyberpunk in the future, feels like its be a game Iยดll return to every now and then. If just to give Panam a hug or two ๐Ÿ˜Š

The Callisto protocol โ€“ so gave this a shot, thinking Iยดd drop it quick but I actually enjoy it quite a bit even if its far from a perfect game. I like the story, the gameplay, the setting. I also like that for a horror game its not scary. I mean not scary at all. You can tell when all the jump scares are coming so its no surprise and the rest isnt scary. Which is good, if it was I wouldnt be able to play it. Im such a wuss these days ๐Ÿ˜Š

Warhammer Darktide โ€“ been having some fun with this. It def needs a patch or two, and a better structure for missions imo, but its old school fun and the Warhammer setting is pretty cool.

Cocoon โ€“ really good game. Clever puzzles, boss fights can be a bit meh but other than that its great.

Red Matter โ€“ although I havent started playing yet I loved Red Matter 2 so this should be great. If you have a PSVR 2 you should play these two games ๐Ÿ˜Š

But mostly Iยดm waiting for Spider-Man 2. Even pre-ordered, turns out I had a bunch of points in Playstation Stars so got it practically for free. Thats great! Not as generous as Microsofts reward program but hey, its something!

Still all in on Cyberpunk 2077, near the end of Phantom Liberty. ***** me this is a good game now, especially with the 2.0 update. CDPR manages to create a world that looks great and creates an awesome illusion of a living and detailed world if you dont look to deep, butwhere the game truly shines imo is the storytelling and interactions with some of the characters and all the feelings it evokes and some of the choices one must make. And the small things, like getting texts from Panam just checking in, phone calls from someone you did a gig for a while back etc etc. Also, the story in Phantom Menace is great so far.

Cyberpunk is very high on my list of favorite games now. I know Iโ€™ve said that a lot but in case someone missed it ๐Ÿ˜€

Cyberpunk 2077 - Iโ€™ve gone all in on this game. I absolutely love it ๐Ÿ˜ the changes to skills and cyberware and how easy it is to respec makes it really fun to play around and explore different builds. Im currently playing as a cyberware ninja, its awesome. Just made it to Dogtown, seems really promising.

Also, Panam ๐Ÿ˜

Starfield โ€“ Iยดve finished the game since last week. Its good, very good at times, the main story is pretty cool but some of the side quests are better. Also the best NG+ setting Iยดve seen. But I also feel very done with the game and dont think Iยดll be playing it again, at least for a few years. Its very hard to not think about what this game could have been with a better engine, less loading screens, less fast traveling (no its not totally optional to skip) less menus, etc etc. But it is what it is.

Joe Wander โ€“ picked this up in the sale as a palette cleanser and its a pretty fun platformer. Controls are a bit lacking sometimes but the puzzling is fun and the settings are great.

Cyberpunk 2077 โ€“ Iยดve been looking forward to update 2.0 and started a new game last night. Iโ€™ve only played for like an hour so cant say much yet but it feels like the stability and performance are much improved, and from what Iโ€™ve read about the gameplay tweaks this is going to be great. I mean I already loved the game before so this might end up high on my top list of best games ever.

Re: Poll: Are You Playing Lies of P?

mac_da_man

Iยดve been playing it just a little on Gamepass, Souls-games are not my kind of games but I really like the setting of this game so might give it a fair chance when I dont have any other main game going.

Starfield - I think Im nearing the end of the main story, will probably wrap up some side missions first as I found them to be the best missions the game has to offer. But after that Im done. And I dont think Iโ€™ll replay it as I often do with Bethesdas RPGs, just dont see myself enjoying it enough. Not a bad game at all, its very good most of the time even with all the issues, its just not a great game imo.

The Crew Motorfest - played the trial for a bit. Very positively surprised at how good it was, like a mix of Forza Horizon and Need for Speed. Will be playing this one for sure.

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 493

Starfield - its a good game and Im enjoying it but there are some issues. It really is fallout in space, not a bad thing but feels like a reskin basically (not really, bit harsh that maybe). Feels like Iโ€™ll play the main missions and bigger side missions but then move on to other games. Oblivion, Skyrim and Fallout 3 Iโ€™ve played so many times, but Fallout 4 only once and probably the same with Starfield. Feels like Bethesda needs to change things for the next Elder Scrolls or it might not be all that good.

Edit - I wrote feels a lot. Feels ok though so not editing that ๐Ÿ˜

Played since last week ๐Ÿ™‚

Hubris - done and even platinumed. I enjoyed it, but its not perfect. Iโ€™d give it a 7/10.

SW Battlefront 2 campaign - near the end, been enjoying replaying this game.

Sea of Stars - one or two hours in, its a great game so far even if Im not totally hooked (yet). Visuals and the feeling is top notch. Will keep playing, at least until Starfield ๐Ÿ˜Ž

Re: Looks Like You Should Expect More Astro Bot on PS5

mac_da_man

Astro Bot Rescue Mission for VR is so good, one of the better games Iโ€™ve ever played. Hoping for both a remaster of that game for PSVR 2 as well as a new game for VR.

Will be happy with a traditional game as well, the one that comes with the console is pretty great ๐Ÿ˜Š

Deliver us Mars โ€“ since last week Iยดve finished and platinumed it. Great story imo, despite some technical issues and janky controls I really enjoyed it a lot.

PSVR 2 - finally reunited with my PSVR 2. Been playing some GT 7 and other games, but also picked up Hubris. It looks really good, controls could be a bit better but Im enjoying it.

Everspace 2 โ€“ gave it a whirl but the stutter was to much. Havent tried it after the patch but heard it got fixed so will go back.

Star Wars Battlefront 2 โ€“ so I started the campaign on the Series S while waiting for downloads to complete. Been wanting to replay it for some time, it still looks really good and its still fun.

Also, been playing the make space for Starfield on my series S internal drive game. Very difficult and not very fun game that, can not recommend.

While mainly waiting for the big games to start dropping in september Iโ€™ve decided to wait with FF XVI and play some shorter games. So in the sale I picked up

Deliver us Mars - been on my to play list a while. Enjoyed the first game but I like this one even more. About half way in its a great story and I can oversee some minor technical issues and jankiness.

Zelda TotK - so the credits have rolled. What a game! I didnt do everything, the game is so big I would burn myself out, and imo its best when just exploring or journeying to new places for quests. There were some truly amazing parts in the game, and some parts less so. Still feels good to have completed it so I can focus on other story games!

NFS Unbound - done and platinumed. Pretty fun!

My little pony - another great experience with my daughter. Game was pretty ok too!

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 486

mac_da_man

More TotK, got that Sword ๐Ÿ˜ done another temple so two more to go, then see if I can start the end run or if I need to upgrade some more.

NFS Unbound - got some collectibles and such left, then that shiny Platinum is mine ๐Ÿ˜Ž

After that is either the campaign in CoD cold war or Alan Wake. Looking forward to them both. Might also start the Ascentโ€ฆ ๐Ÿ˜ƒ

I finished Zelda the Minish Cap. Pure magic, loved it.

Now on to Zelda Tears of the Kingdom. Just a couple of hours in but love it already, despite hating the breaking weapons ๐Ÿ˜ƒ

I want to play FF 16 as well but will wait a bit ๐Ÿ˜… If I can keep myself away from it that it ๐Ÿ˜ฌ

CoD MW 2 - finished the campaign. Pretty good, didnt enjoy it as much as MW but still good blockbuster action fun.

Zelda the Minish Cap - never played this and after a couple of hours Im enjoying it a lot. Good old school Zelda ๐Ÿ˜ and, when Im finished with it its time to start Tears of the Kingdom!
