Re: Diablo 4 Lead Has Planned Out 'Really Exciting' 10-Year Roadmap for Blizzard's Action RPG Series

djlard

"We’re focused on what players want..." ??? when? in 2030? maybe? Blizzard never listen what players want, because if so, D4 would look much much different... That game completely lost any direction and Blizzard only rely on players who don't care, just clicking. Fact that no major improvements were made since two weeks after release (and those were rather downgrades) only confirms that Blizzard just don't want to touch that anymore and only focus on dumb seasons.

Re: RPGs Reportedly on the Rise as the Live Service, Battle Royale Trend Falters

djlard

Wow, one thought battle royale must have way more percentage when there is so much new releases trying to choke gaming industry...

About those RPGs I would be very careful with adding "live service" bullsh**... sorry affix, because there are lots of quality RPGs like Witcher 3, Kingdom Come, Skyrim, FFXV etc. that have nothing to do with live service and people replay them just for fun.

Re: Feature: PS5's Not Perfect, But Here Are 5 Ways It's More Consumer Friendly Than Switch 2

djlard

Game Key Cards is the worst thing I've ever seen in my life. It's like release freak out of leash. On console heavily based on portable feature, and so, used there where is low or no internet, this is straight against purpose of this machine. And second, more evil thing, this gives free hand for developers to release unfinished products. It also brings back old annoying problem with storage management, where you constantly delete and reinstall (additionally redownload) games. This whole thing is huge step back and it's another nail in Switch 2 coffin.

Re: Almost All PS5 Fans Are Against $80 Games

It is nice to revolt against overpriced games, but tell it to those, who are quiet and blindly throw their money on pre-orders (biggest curse), battle passes and day ones. These mot*******ers are fuelling publishers fire to keep or raise prices.

Re: Round Up: DOOM: The Dark Ages Previews Hype Up a Slower But Bigger PS5 Prequel

djlard

I love Doom series (except 2016), right now I bought Heretic, Hexen and Blood series on GOG just to finaly have these games and I love their simplicity. I also had good time with Eternal even if those weapon mods were bit annoying (I just put something there and it somehow worked).

So.... I'm bit worried about Dark Ages. Doom immediately brings me memory of rotating chain-gun as my primary weapon and anything else isn't necessary. Shield, sword, flying... that is rather Space Marine 1... I don't know... We'll see. One way or another, Dark Ages is not so appealing to be day one.

Re: Naughty Dog's Intergalactic Unlikely to Release on PS5 Until 2027

djlard

Who thinks same, developers should start making games for PS8 so it's ready right in time???

It's ridiculous and one must ask why PS3 era was able to produce dozens of good games in a few months while PS5 era is still whining games takes too long to make and hardly pushing few speculative games a year?

Re: Shadow of Mordor's Nemesis System Created to Combat the Used Games Market

djlard

@Johnnycide I cannot find screenshot. Maybe it was added to the game later when WB successfully filed patent, I don't know. I played my pre-owned copy few years back, so disclaimer could be implemented few years after release. Maybe it pop-ups again when I'll delete my save. The fact is I had long WTF moment and couldn't believe my own eyes why it has it's very own disclaimer in-game. It was the most weird thing that happened to me in my gaming life.

Re: Shadow of Mordor's Nemesis System Created to Combat the Used Games Market

djlard

@Johnnycide After few minutes of gameplay when you first open menu there is full screen disclaimer this game uses Nemesis system which is patented by WB and you have no right to use it elsewhere without permission. It was so embarrassing, hilarious and dense at once so it stuck in mind of lots of gamers. And fact Nemesis system was never used again by any developer, even WB, makes this disclaimer more legendary. It is something like BSOD while revealing first USB port.

Re: Fans Unsure Whether Sony Will Block PS5 Games on Xbox's Rumoured PC Hardware

djlard

If new xbox have access and controller support for GOG then im 100% in. I must say I'm tired of PS5 era. I don't like way where games are now moving. GaaSes, Soulslike, unfinished releases... I turned back to old games where graphics, number of mechanics (crafting, events, grinding...) were not the point, but just pure fun. Games where heroes were heroes and no one asks if he is guy or girl, black or white, mentally ill or just different. I have huge backlog of fun games, more and more less interrested in new games. So I'm not bothering anymore if new game is on this or that console. I just want to play games I like(d).
