The monumental flop that was Babylon's Fall doesn't appear to have deterred PlatinumGames from making more online games, as newly spotted job listings suggest the developer is still experimenting with the crowded space.
Tech4Gamers has uncovered a job listing for a Game Designer at PlatinumGames, which is searching for someone with skills in making online games. Under the "Desired Skills" heading, the studio wishes to recruit someone with "experience working on online action game development" and "experience in level design for online or open field games".
While the job advertisement isn't outright confirmation the Japanese studio is making an online title, it does suggest the team is at least considering multiplayer elements for one of its future projects.
A couple of months before Babylon's Fall was shut down, PlatinumGames CEO Atsushi Inaba said the developer would continue to try making games in the live-service space. "There’s a lot that we learned from this experience, and it’s not changed our future plans or outlook moving forward regarding doing live service games at all."
Since those comments were made, top talent, including Hideki Kamiya, has left the company.
PlatinumGames currently has Ninja Gaiden 4 in the works, though this job listing is unlikely to be related to the project. Would you try another live-service effort from PlatinumGames after Babylon's Fall? Let us know in the comments below.

How many times we gotta teach you this lesson 😂😂😂😂😂🤑🤑🤑🤑🤑🤑👀
Shouldn't be wasting energy someway punishable?
Politics have full mouth of paper straws, electric cars and other meaningless things, but companies that are knowingly poluting our planet by making pure trash are freely allowed to do that???
Shouldn’t they be working on the new NieR game? 🤔
@Can-You-Believe-Sith I'm honestly surprised Platinum Games hasn't gone bankrupt yet. Every news I hear about them it's their games arent good enough or Platinum losing their touch.
This is why Kamiya and all the talent left
You never learn the lesson, sir!.
Sad. Their games of the past were great, not online.
They will not learn their lesson until the doors close for good.
get rich or die trying
Let's face it now that Hideki Kamiya has left Platinum is Platinum in name only.
Are they not sane? Now I understand why important people are leaving platinum games left and right 😕
What a completely tone-deaf statement 🤦
