Re: Shadow of Mordor's Nemesis System Created to Combat the Used Games Market

djlard

@Johnnycide After few minutes of gameplay when you first open menu there is full screen disclaimer this game uses Nemesis system which is patented by WB and you have no right to use it elsewhere without permission. It was so embarrassing, hilarious and dense at once so it stuck in mind of lots of gamers. And fact Nemesis system was never used again by any developer, even WB, makes this disclaimer more legendary. It is something like BSOD while revealing first USB port.

Re: Fans Unsure Whether Sony Will Block PS5 Games on Xbox's Rumoured PC Hardware

djlard

If new xbox have access and controller support for GOG then im 100% in. I must say I'm tired of PS5 era. I don't like way where games are now moving. GaaSes, Soulslike, unfinished releases... I turned back to old games where graphics, number of mechanics (crafting, events, grinding...) were not the point, but just pure fun. Games where heroes were heroes and no one asks if he is guy or girl, black or white, mentally ill or just different. I have huge backlog of fun games, more and more less interrested in new games. So I'm not bothering anymore if new game is on this or that console. I just want to play games I like(d).

Re: Assassin's Creed Shadows (PS5) - Striking Open World RPG Is a Real Cut Above

djlard

@ShogunRok You reviewed, as I would say "another random average RPG". But I've didn't read anywhere how it fits to Assassin's Creed saga? Is it step towards basic direction of AC series, ergo replaying piece of history, thru Animus, to get informations about things necessary for present day story? Or is that just another random Assassin's Creed game that doesn't push present day story anywhere, have (almost) no connections with previous games and playing it, or not, doesn't affect understanding of Assassin's Creed saga??? Thank you for answer.

Re: Disc Rot Already Afflicts Your Physical Game Collection

djlard

As I know, from my 4000+ dvd/bd/uhd library right now only 3 discs suffered from disc rot. The problem lies mainly in production process. All discs that died, in my collection, had rough edges and it looked like silver layer was glued on disc. The best condition have discs with round edges where silver layer is "laminated inside" of disc.

Re: Horizon Dev Promises It Isn't Trying to Replace Aloy Actress with AI

djlard

Games are living pieces of art. Expression of human thoughts. I'm interrested in this.

AI is made to kill, steal, rip off, torn to pieces and sew together someone's work. Only because of human lazyness to make it themselve. I'm not interrested in this dead frankenstein thing.

I think people should not be only informed where AI was used, but given option (defaultly declined) to contribute to AI by any form.

Re: 15 Years Ago, Square Enix Released the Most Divisive Final Fantasy Game

@themightyant I also don't know why it happened. I liked that drive and pace it had until I hit open area. It suddenly slowed ... I don't know. Maybe in that time I got information about that monster scaling according to equip, so I lost interrest on grinding... In that time I had some legendaries already and beasts were somehow hard and fights started to be rather annoying... maybe that was the reason...
