Re: PSVR to PSVR2: All Games with Free Upgrades

blakey78

My payment for the Horizon bundle has gone out. Just have to wait now for that PSVR 2 goodness 😂 I've already pre-installed some of the games on this list ready to update them. The reviews are really positive so far

Re: Reminder: PS4's Share Play Could Keep You Connected During the Coronavirus Crisis

blakey78

I've never understood why this feature isn't being pushed more by Sony. The fact that someone can play a game that they do not own, for free-ish (PS Plus). That sells the feature for me. Playing Borderlands with my brother who lives far away from me, as if he was sat next to me, I've made the most of this amazing feature. I hope they integrate it into the PS5, too.

Re: Countdown Clock Suggests Need for Speed Reveal Coming Later This Week

blakey78

@playstation1995 @pimpjuice I loved Dead space 1 and 2. Wasn't a fan of the 3rd though. Just couldn't get into it.
I do love the NFS series, but it's been struggling for well over a generation. Partly gameplay, mostly EA micro-cr*p. I really hope this new game is back to the days when NFS was up there with the best of the driving games.

Re: PS Plus July 2019 PS4 Games Announced

blakey78

As I only bought FIFA 19 a few weeks ago in a pre-owned deal at my local Game store, PES 19 probably won't be played. I'll most likely add it to my library but never download it, like many, many other PS Plus games over recent years. The other game might be ok for my young kids but I'm more GT and drive club. For me, adding a PSVR title to the free games each month would make me happy. But I know that I am in the minority when it comes to that option. I'll continue to subscribe but hope the games and their "values" balance out over the 12 months

Re: Reaction: State of Play Satisfies, But Can Sony Manage Expectations?

blakey78

I like them. I was really impressed with them leading the first "episode" with PSVR heavy content. It was assurance for me that they are committed to the peripheral and to me, one of many PSVR owners. I honestly believe that because people have had years of Sony giving them what they want, they now feel "entitled" to continue that vain. These are going to be regular videos, maybe two per month. We can't expect AAA every single video, or reveal every trailer. The second video wasn't really aimed at me, the games not on my radar. I still upvoted it on YouTube though as I appreciated the games would tick a lot of people's boxes. So, I will continue to watch and look forward to seeing what they have to show us in the future.

Re: Borderlands: Game of the Year Edition - Back with a Bang

blakey78

When this first came out, the cell shading put me off playing.......until my brother convinced me a few years later to purchase the handsome collection. After playing everything available I was in love with the games. I felt gutted and annoyed that I'd missed the opportunity to play the first game. So, when I found out this was releasing, I knew I'd buy it day one. I'm hoping to get started over the weekend. I plan on replaying borderlands 2 before September, but using my PSVR. I think I might have to just pack up and move to Pandora lol

Re: Kingdom Hearts III - An Ending Worthy of the Wait

blakey78

I've literally just started Birth by sleep, so I've still got a long way to go until I even begin to start playing KH3. Still got it day 1 though. It's been a daunting experience having to try to get through so many games before the launch of KH3. I bought the 1.5/2.5 final mix. I've not yet purchased 2.8. So, I doubt I'll be playing KH3 until this time next year lol

Re: Acclaimed PSVR Platformer Astro Bot Getting Free Demo

blakey78

It's my 40th birthday on Thursday and my kids have bought me this. Well, I say they've bought me this. I think I meant to say bought it for me so that they can play it. Yeah, that sounds about right lol. The Game looks fantastic though and I can't wait to jump in and play........after my kids have had a go, of course 😉

Re: E3 2018: New Dreams Creation Gameplay Shows Basic Animation, Music, and Logic

blakey78

@Quintumply it did baffle me why they didn't leave the showing of the last of us and the subsequent intermission until further into the show. It was far too early for a break, regardless of the reveals they had. Personally, I think they should have had it in one place. Whoever thought "I know, we'll wait until everyone is comfy and set for the show ahead and then ask them to move to a different venue" lol @adf86 lol yup, who'd have thought it was the year 2018

Re: E3 2018: New Dreams Creation Gameplay Shows Basic Animation, Music, and Logic

blakey78

@Quintumply same here. I've not seen any mention of them on YouTube reviews of the presser, only people putting down the "intermission" and GoT combat. I was also shocked that PlayStation only got 8% in the YouTube E3 press conference poll. I thought their show was a solid B+. They showed the games they said they would and still had a few surprise announcements. Ah well, each to their own.

Re: Feature: 15 Games We Want to See at E3 2018

blakey78

@ShogunRok @get2sammyb Scrap my earlier comment about the Fallout: Miami teaser I watched. I did some research and it turns out its an upcoming MOD. Wish tbe video bloomin said that lol. Anywho, I chose Spiderman, but that's only because I can't wait to see more of it. September is not far away now.

Re: Rumour: Call of Duty: Black Ops IIII Cans Campaign, Adds Battle Royale

blakey78

As I never play any multiplayer, on any game (mostly due to me being useless playing against others) I only ever buy games for the single player campaign. So, for me, that's one less game for me to think about during the busy period of game releases. I have tried CoD multiplayer several times and rage quit every time. Whilst everyone else is elite S.A.S, I'm constantly in "noob" mode contributing to others kill streaks. On the single player campaign, though, I'm popping head shot after head shot and bringing out my inner chuck norris lol. So I tend to enjoy that experience more.

Re: Review: Burnout Paradise Remastered (PS4)

blakey78

I loved the burnout series. Burnout takedown was my favourite. I didn't enjoy paradise as much. I have been following this though and, after a price drop, I'm thinking about trying this again. Hopefully, as mentioned above, EA will contemplate bringing out a new burnout. We live in hope.

Re: The Witcher 3 PS4 HDR Patch Is Still Happening

blakey78

@ztpayne7 @carlos82 @Bad-MuthaAdebisi I have yet to play the DLC too. I currently own a 4k TV, but as it's a 2014 model, it lacks HDR. I am in the market for a newer TV though. It's just not high up on my list of priorities. Loved TW3 though. Literally covered every ? on the maps. I will finish the DLC once I have that HDR TV.

Re: Review: Sprint Vector (PS4)

blakey78

@get2sammyb as a below knee amputee and partial paralysis from the waist down due to a spinal injury, PSVR to me is amazing. It makes me run, jump, fly, drive (although I can still do that in reality) and do things that I can't do in my day to day life. As I need to be seated to use my PSVR it limits the games at my disposal. I really hope that this game can be played seated as it sounds really good.

Re: Feature: 4 Things We Want to See from PSVR in 2018

blakey78

I'm loving mine, bought it day one. I was worried that after a bit of time using it that I would grow bored and not really use it. But Sony have been brilliant at keeping my attention by releasing so much variety. The scope of things to do is big. My only hope for 2018 is that this trend continues and that things can only get better (I'm sure there's a 90's cheesy song in there somewhere lol)

Re: Sony Didn't Really Want Another God of War Game

blakey78

Well I'm one European sale (UK). I've always enjoyed the GoW series, even the vita titles. I was so happy to see it return. And my curiosity piqued the moment it was confirmed that it was set in Norse mythology. I hope for a release date soon too, but would much rather have to wait for a complete, unbroken game than have them release it early due to consumer pressure and then have to patch the heck out of it. Keep doing your work Santa Monica, I'll look forward to the day we all get to play. I'm sure it's not too far off now.

Re: Guide: Can You Play Gran Turismo Sport Offline?

blakey78

I must be old-school (I turned 39 on the 11th Oct lol) but I still prefer the Horizon type games which are single player campaign only. I am useless at any game once I play online multiplayer, it just frustrates me and takes the fun out of gaming. Your article on micro-transactions is another thing that turns me off online only games. Feeling the need to improve my gameplay by purchasing add-ons just seems ridiculous to me. On a single player game you level up and progress in the game and get better as you play. I've tried doing this in the online games (destiny, CoD, SW B) and still today I just can't play the same as I do offline. I played the demo for GT sport and didn't try one online race or event, I just spent my time doing the licenses and tests etc. I thoroughly enjoyed my experience but hearing that my option of gameplay is only a tenth of the game has turned me off purchasing the game. And I've always loved GT.

Re: Round Up: Is the New South Park Game Fractured or Whole?

blakey78

I'm really looking forward to this. I thoroughly enjoyed the stick of truth, and that's despite detesting turn based games. I completed the first game and I intend to do the same with this one. I love South Park anyway and these games are basically an extended episode where you are the star. And you have to tip your cap to all those involved for creating such a solid RPG.
