@Bhattiboy It's the fact you used it as a derogatory term. Yes, there is a lot of stigma attached to such a word. But you chose to use that word to aim dislike/disgust at a fellow human being. I just think that there are better ways to articulate your feelings. As I said, not everyone is going to agree/like @get2sammyb and his views. But that shouldn't incite the comments he's received.
@Bhattiboy You're missing the point. This wasn't a review, it was just one persons own views on a game that's been highly anticipated for the past three years. He didn't say don't buy it, he didn't give it a score out of ten. He just vented his frustrations towards a game he feels has let him down. That doesn't deserve the comment by yourself and one other
@themcnoisy I'll most likely have hate directed at me for voicing my opinion, but I couldn't say nothing. I have always found this site to be informative, honest and aimed at people like me, a typical Joe Blogs, getting involved with debate and sharing views about a passion we all share. There is no place for pure vitriol and disgusting comments aimed at an individual doing his job but also sharing his own personal feelings about a game. Not everyone will agree, but that's fine, we're all different. @get2sammyb I salute you for your honesty. I agree in part to some of your gripes, but here I am still playing the game unable to put the control pad down lol
@themcnoisy Well said. I was going to comment about the cancer remark and the previous vitriol aimed at @get2sammyb Surely these sort of comments are off topic, intended to either hurt or upset this fine editor and generally not needed on a forum which to me has the best debates and general respect for our fellow gamers. I for one lost my dad to cancer so I personally take offence to this low level of "criticism"
I've had a a few crashes. My most common fault is losing connection to the servers. Neither of which has detracted from my gaming experience. Yes it can feel repetitive, and I usually detest rinse and repeat games, but I find myself investing hours just exploring. I fully understand and respect those of the more disappointed folk with this game though. I can only see this holding my attention until Deus Ex comes out.
I'll be here. I'm really excited to finally see the console and find out all there is to know. I just worry that if they release too close to the PSVR, a lot of people won't be able to purchase both. That could damage initial sales
I found that the quickest and easiest way to acrue credits is to scan every creature, item and area, then rename and upload to server. It's easy money and fun coming up with "interesting" names. You can even change the name of outposts and upload for credits. I'm loving the game so far. Keep running out of inventory slots though grrr lol.
@Anguspuss Ahh phooey, my boy is an avid Thomas fan, that's one spoiler I am gutted about I agree about staying off of posts related to spoilers. I'm still yet to play U4 and so far haven't had the ending spoilt. But I steer clear of most things U4 related. My earlier comment about Star wars was more in jest. After all, what's a spoiler really going to do, ruin a film? Not really, if it's a good film you'll still enjoy it regardless of spoiler. In this instance, NMS has secrets that are always going to be shown on the likes of YouTube what with the let's play trend of today. Gamers watching others game is a big thing and once they are posted, anyone can see the content. As you said, if you want to go into the game with a blank slate, no secrets etc. Stay off of posts regarding the subject.
@Bruinshockey78 I for one have not seen it yet but plan to once i have enough free time. I've got a 3yr old son and a 5yr old daughter so I focus the majority of my time on them. What little time I have to myself I use either resting, gaming or catching up on the backlog of movies/series I've got to watch. So, thanks for the spoiler, I'll keep my eyes peeled for said death scene
@Sunnyviji yeah, similar question. Will owners of driveclub and the season pass have to pay and how much will that be? Interesting times ahead for sure. Just one more reason for me to be excited about PSVR. I was gutted when evolution disbanded, especially the thought that this game wouldn't come to fruition. Yes, we've got GT sport vr, but I enjoy the game play of driveclub.
@Fred_Red The pre-order is only £39.95 on www.thegamecollection.net so I'm sticking with the hard copy. I prefer it to digital as I can trade the game in and have price match at 'game' store. Can't do that with digital.
@FullbringIchigo I'm with you. I'm desperate for external HDD. I don't have the extra funds to get a bigger PS4 hard drive as I'm putting money aside for PSVR. I do already own a 2TB external HDD though and what with everything that's due out in the last half of the year, I fear my already stretched 500gb just won't cut it.
Are there any vacancies at push square towers @get2sammyb? I envy the work that you fine folk do. The tech and products you get to try out, the places you get to go and the people you get to meet. I believe that each one of you deserves the jobs that you have. Can't blame a guy for wanting to be a part of something so amazing lol
@get2sammyb I got my PSVR slot booked and my all day tickets booked for Sat 24th Sept woohoo. Will the pushsquare team be there in any capacity or just as a regular customer like myself?
@get2sammyb I have registered and will be poised eagerly anticipating a slot to be available. This is what I've been waiting for. Finally my chance to demo the PSVR. Watch me get severe motion sickness and throw up like a sea sick suffering Titanic passenger, thus having to cancel my pre-order lol. One question, once I'd registered the site claimed that there were no upcoming events. Surely the 4pm PSVR slots for EGX would be advertised?
My finances for October are already stretched by the imminent release of PSVR and some accompanying games. Then there are other standard, conventional games a'la the last guardian that are on my wish list. So, unfortunately, as much as I've been looking forward to this game, it will have to wait until I can afford it.
@BAMozzy What about Robinson: the journey, or Farpoint? Those two look amazing games and experiences. Wonder why it's called Robinson when the character is called Robins lol?
@xX_RiscazZ_Xx Yeah, the DS4 can act as the motion version of the move controller just the same as the PS3. You could use the move with the ball at the top and the analog sticks on the DS3. I'm assuming the same functionality will be present this time around too. I enjoyed the spray painting in second son. The kids were blown away by it. Same with the AR Bots in the playroom.
@get2sammyb I second that, Sammy. It's a shame they weren't bought to the dev's attention sooner, they could have been part of the limited edition package along with the rest of the items. Take my hat off to the artist, I also salute Grant Duncan for acknowledging them
@Kidfried If we're talking about the games/experiences then yes, I can see your logic. But if we're talking about the PSVR unit itself, if everyone waited for reviews and didn't buy until 6 months, I'm just saying that it's a possibility that support for the device could decline based on initial unit sales. This is all hyperphetical of course. I'm not saying that this will happen. You only have to look at the pre-orders running out to realise enough people are invested in the whole idea of console VR. As someone else said earlier, I'm happy to be one of many people who purchase day-1 and share my thoughts with others who may still be undecided. I guess we'll all know soon enough. Whatever happens, it's an exciting time for us gamers
@themcnoisy but surely if everyone adopts the same attitude as you and decide to wait 6 months, that will play it's part in stopping PSVR from doing well? I mean, it's up to the buyer how, when and if they make a purchase. I just think that the fewer people investing in the product will lead to fewer devs being able to improve games or Sony to improve PSVR. If nobody is purchasing the unit or games then there's no revenue to improve going forward
@RadoGoji every video I've seen where the user has spectacles, they've all said that they're more than happy with the psvr whilst wearing them. In fact, out of the 3 top end units, psvr is supposedly the most comfortable. It's the fact that where the other two are worn a'la swimming goggles, it makes it impossible to comfortably wear glasses. PSVR, however, sits mostly on the top of your head with the visor sliding horizontally, via a button press, t9 your face. You really should check out some YouTube vids of other spectacle wearer's thoughts. It might help put your mind at ease
@Grawlog Ever the optimist lol. I'd be lying if I didn't admit I share your concerns. But my hopes are that with the technology available, this can become a gaming choice that sits alongside it's parent system. Outside of gaming, this is here to stay. Education, medical use, a whole plethora of opportunities to see and do things from a new perspective. Who knows, this could be the tech that finally leads to a cure for cancer. Unlikely, yes. But who knows?
@AhabSpampurse I've heard that Sony's kit is focused with anti-sickness in mind. With 120hz and the latency supposedly majes for a better experience with little to no nausea/motion sickness. It is down to what you look for from your vr experience. If it's high end visuals, vive and rift tick the box. That's not to say psvr is a slouch in that department, it just can't live up to those qualities and understandably so. If it's affordability then psvr is good clout for your buck (almost sounded American then lol). If you want the full vr experience that includes walking around your room, top of the range visuals and best all round experience, the vive is your only answer. While you can stand up and have minimal movement with the psvr, it's mainly aimed at seated experiences/games. The rift too is limited to minimal movement but I believe that is due to change in the future. Whatever you choose, you are joining the future of gaming and I know that I cannot wait, bring on October
I'm glad I didn't sit on the fence too long (don't like splinters) thinking about whether to pre-order or not. I've watched countless videos on YouTube since the folks in the USA (happy 4th July) and Canada had demo units made available. I can count on one hand the negative reviews, 2. It's been an overwhelming (can anyone actually just whelm?) success, and that's just demo games. I'm sooo excited for October, would still like to try it for myself though, us UK folk want to sample the VR greatness too ya know
@Fight_Teza_Fight yeah those ones. There's one at the far south of velen, right at the bottom of the map. A cave has a door that needs a key but it's nowhere to be found
@Fight_Teza_Fight I too think I'm close to finishing the main quest. I've managed to discover all but 2 ?'s aswell. But they aren't accessible so I'm assuming they're part of the main story. I want to get it done so that I can start the two expansions
@BAMozzy those are the people that complain regardless of what content is made available. I agree with your theory on MP. What's the point of buying an old game for the MP if the lobbies are empty. I did contemplate dipping back in to battlefield 4 as the price was ridiculously low. But I've held off just in case it is one of the July freebies. If it isn't, £4 for the game is alright in my book
@BowTiesAreCool yeah, battlefield hard line and 4 are £3.99. There are others too. So it's possible that these games could go on plus now that their prices are so low
I'd just like games that I can download and play. NBA just wouldn't download, kept repeatedly getting an error. Having never played a basketball game before I was really happy to have been given the opportunity for free. I've given up trying now though. I have heard that I'm not alone with this issue
I for one will still buy the PS4K regardless of a slight price increase. I own a 4K tv and I will also own the PSVR, so it makes sense to invest in the console more suited to those things.
PSVR swings the PS4 into my favourite console as it's the only console (at present) to offer the experience. They were always ahead of MS and Nintendo this generation and seem to be continuing that trend heading forward. But it is down to personal preference, and every one is different. It would be boring if we were all the same, I don't think it would push the mega corporations to push the boundaries either as there'd be little to no competition. So, yes, my fave console is the PS4, but the industry as a whole should be saluted for giving us a choice of what suits us best
@kyleforrester87 I'm with you on this mate. The PS4 pushes boundaries, offers a diverse range of gaming and social options. MS are planning play anywhere when either the XB1 S or Scorpio come out. PS4 have had shareplay AND remote play for quite some time. MS struggle to reach 1080p visuals where 1080p should have been standard this gen. Now, the PS4K is coming as a big brother to the PS4 opening the door to 4K and a whole host of visual enhancements. The PSVR is due out on the vanilla PS4 whereas MS has to bring out a whole new console to accommodate VR. So, yeah, greatness really does await and I for one can't wait.
@Mergatro1d the two settings will be accessible on their respective console. Devs aren't going to suddenly ditch PS4.1 to concentrate on neo. Most games are created in 4k and downgraded to be playable on consoles. If they were bringing out a new console without the PS4 name attached then yeah, it can be classed as a new gen console. But this just isn't. Why risk 40Mil plus install Base by lying and deceiving customers, that's just bad for business for the next gen PS5
@ShogunRok I've mentioned it before, but the quest "Dirty funds" still sits incomplete on my quest list because I visited the site before I should have, and now I haven't got the item it's asking me to read. Aside from that I'm happy, and have been since day one. By far my best game of this generation, I have yet to begin my copy of uncharted 4 yrt though
@get2sammyb oh, I must have missed that. The first game made me jump several times lol. The part in the first game where you drop the camera, I won't say too much in case folk haven't played it, but that was tense, edgy and I did feel some fear of what seemed like an inevitable jump scare that was pending
@get2sammyb one horror game that slipped under the radar, despite having a game play demo, was outlast 2. The first game was outstanding.
@Constable_What talking about games that incite genuine fear, siren blood curse had a real impact on my misses at the time. She ended up having to go out of the room whilst I played it. She had nightmares bless her lol. I do love the horror genre, especially jump scares, so I'm hoping, as you said, that the immersion of VR will add a new level of fear to a horror game
I chose God of war as my "Game of E3" (despite it being very close). I am a fond lover of the franchise and was hoping for this reveal above all others. The new camera angle, the more mature content and the inevitable kratos hidden "ahem" scene lol. Kudos to the devs for choosing this trailer as their reveal, much better than the always obligatory hack and slash of previous iterations. I've got a lot of hype for this.
According to IGN, their game of E3 was Zelda. Not for me though. There were too many strong showings from PlayStation. I struggled voting in the poll as it's such a difficult choice. God of war was my final choice, but it could easily have been three or four others
There's a phone and an axe? Yikes, how did I miss those? I took my time too. I'll have to re-download it as I thought that was it for the demo and deleted it.
@get2sammyb any news on demo units in the UK. I feel we have a huge install Base in this country and a rich heritage within the gaming industry. However we always seem to be an after thought when it comes to consumer connection. I would love my local 'Game' store to have a demo unit, I honestly can't see it happening though
All of the above and South Park. I think we as gamers have been spoilt by such a wide and varied array of games that it shouldn't matter which one "won". Some folks posting here are missing the point that we are all game enthusiasts with our own tastes. No one person's choice is right. Let's just celebrate, as all at pushsquare towers have done above, and look forward to a very exciting gaming future ahead. (imo PS4 "won" E3 though lol)

Re: Sony's New PS4 Commercial Is All About Greatness
Re: Sony: PS4K Will Not Shorten the PS4's Lifecycle
What he said ^^^^^^^
Re: Sony: PS4K Will Not Shorten the PS4's Lifecycle
@Mergatro1d most movies are produced this way too
Re: Sony: PS4K Will Not Shorten the PS4's Lifecycle
@Mergatro1d the two settings will be accessible on their respective console. Devs aren't going to suddenly ditch PS4.1 to concentrate on neo. Most games are created in 4k and downgraded to be playable on consoles. If they were bringing out a new console without the PS4 name attached then yeah, it can be classed as a new gen console. But this just isn't. Why risk 40Mil plus install Base by lying and deceiving customers, that's just bad for business for the next gen PS5
Re: Mass Effect: Andromeda Development Is 'Healthy' Says BioWare
@shogunrok I'm embarrassed to admit I never played the first three, so I'm hoping for a remaster as they did with uncharted
Re: The Witcher 3 PS4 Patch 1.22 Is Available to Download Now
@ShogunRok I've mentioned it before, but the quest "Dirty funds" still sits incomplete on my quest list because I visited the site before I should have, and now I haven't got the item it's asking me to read. Aside from that I'm happy, and have been since day one. By far my best game of this generation, I have yet to begin my copy of uncharted 4 yrt though
Re: E3 2016: Resident Evil 7 Producer Was Gutted by Silent Hills' Cancellation
@get2sammyb oh, I must have missed that. The first game made me jump several times lol. The part in the first game where you drop the camera, I won't say too much in case folk haven't played it, but that was tense, edgy and I did feel some fear of what seemed like an inevitable jump scare that was pending
Re: E3 2016: Resident Evil 7 Producer Was Gutted by Silent Hills' Cancellation
@get2sammyb one horror game that slipped under the radar, despite having a game play demo, was outlast 2. The first game was outstanding.
@Constable_What talking about games that incite genuine fear, siren blood curse had a real impact on my misses at the time. She ended up having to go out of the room whilst I played it. She had nightmares bless her lol. I do love the horror genre, especially jump scares, so I'm hoping, as you said, that the immersion of VR will add a new level of fear to a horror game
Re: E3 2016: Kratos Sees Godhood as a Disease in God of War PS4
I chose God of war as my "Game of E3" (despite it being very close). I am a fond lover of the franchise and was hoping for this reveal above all others. The new camera angle, the more mature content and the inevitable kratos hidden "ahem" scene lol. Kudos to the devs for choosing this trailer as their reveal, much better than the always obligatory hack and slash of previous iterations. I've got a lot of hype for this.
Re: E3 2016: Who 'Won' E3 2016? Social Media Can't Decide
According to IGN, their game of E3 was Zelda. Not for me though. There were too many strong showings from PlayStation. I struggled voting in the poll as it's such a difficult choice. God of war was my final choice, but it could easily have been three or four others
Re: Could There Be a Secret Ending to Resident Evil 7's Demo?
There's a phone and an axe? Yikes, how did I miss those? I took my time too. I'll have to re-download it as I thought that was it for the demo and deleted it.
Re: E3 2016: Stop Complaining About PlayStation VR and Try It Tomorrow
@get2sammyb any news on demo units in the UK. I feel we have a huge install Base in this country and a rich heritage within the gaming industry. However we always seem to be an after thought when it comes to consumer connection. I would love my local 'Game' store to have a demo unit, I honestly can't see it happening though
Re: Feature: Did You Predict E3 2016? Push Square's Community Quiz Results Are In
@shogunrok I got 15/20 so I'm happy
Re: Feature: 10 PS4 Games That Won E3 2016
All of the above and South Park. I think we as gamers have been spoilt by such a wide and varied array of games that it shouldn't matter which one "won". Some folks posting here are missing the point that we are all game enthusiasts with our own tastes. No one person's choice is right. Let's just celebrate, as all at pushsquare towers have done above, and look forward to a very exciting gaming future ahead. (imo PS4 "won" E3 though lol)
