Once I read that Lovecraft had to remove one of the cosmic entities from his mythology, only because that one was more annoying than a bunch of Shoggoths. Its name was... @Yogsoggoth
I'm glad there are devs out there trying something different. I loved Death Stranding, right now I'm enjoying Kingdom Come Deliverance and I'll surely give Ancestors a try.
I have no time now to explain what I am looking for in gaming lately, but I'll post something more detailed about it soon.
In the meantime, I'd like to underline that in the Anglo-Saxon languages the word "fun" has its etymology in words referring to "hoax" and "cheat", while in the Romance languages the corresponding word comes from the Latin "divergere" that means "taking a different direction".
25 hours in and I know I should accept that orange order to move on with the main story reaching chapter 4, but first I want to connect all the zones and preppers available since I unlocked many new funny tools. A 10 to me. Did you know you can change the kind of info shown on the map by pressing R3?
"Designer and producer Michael Murray has been quick to respond on Twitter, saying that the development team is aware of the crashing (since everybody is complaining about it and not because they tested it properly before its release), and encourages people to reach out with more information (since doing that costs money and it's better if customers do that by themselves for free)."
Just for your knowledgment, her name is quite funny if you speak italian: Cascina means "farmhouse" and Caradonna can be translated "sweetlady". The surname is rare in Italy, but it exists, while the name sounds like a bad joke!
@TheArt Let's say people who love football should play the best football game around (and PES it's not even in the top ten) instead of a clearly inferior one only because of its name and its deadly microtransactions. Any great sport game is a great videogame, especially since with € 60 you get a game you can play for a whole year.
@get2sammyb I fear it's the vanilla version of GT Sports, right? The +45 GBs update is the main reason I ignored the game but if they put all on discs I'd give it a try.
I just don't like the fact that many single player games force me to download trucks of GB in updates about a multiplayer section I always ignore. Just keep them separated and I'm fine.
I'm quite sure that yellow box have been put on every bundled PS4 lately. But I'm not gonna check it because I'm lazy and nobody pays me to do your Pushsquare's job. 😋
I bet I'm not the only here ignoring this kind of events. When the games will arrive, we'll see them for what they really are. This is just some kind of a party for the marketing departments.
Yes, I'm getting old.
@Jaz007 Second Son looks better than many 2019 games, no doubt about it. But I think it aged very badly in terms of gameplay. I played it few days ago for the first time and it has been one of the weakest experience I have ever met on PS4. Same strategy against every enemy, no real difference between powers, easy even on the hardest difficulty level, eye-rolling humour... I'll be very cautious about their new game...
This "review" even with the one about A Plague Tale: Innocence. Both are perfectly useless if you are looking for detailed information by someone who had the chance to play the full game for many hours.
@darkswabber Never heard about the "extra story" thing. Is it related to some kind of DLC playable after beating the main story? BTW, I just ordered a retail copy of NIER Automata for € 20. It's good to have a huge backlog: there's always a great game to buy and play while you wait for a new release to have a price drop!
Let's talk about how they switched "fetch quests" with "investigate quests". At least, in the first ones you still have to do something gameplay wise; in the second ones all you have to is to follow the red lines, press X to scroll text, repeat.
It sounds to me like ME Andromeda in a pirate costume. I finished that game just few days ago and I enjoyed the space opera but my hunger for an "RPG-with-2-companions-in-a-universe-divided-into-factions-you-fight-or-deal-with" have been satiated. See you next year, GreedFall.
@Danloaded If a certain game has tech issues at launch, there's a 90% possibility it will be a better game after few months thanks to patches. At the same time there's a 90% possibility its price will be reduced in few months thanks to sales. Therefore, there's a 90% possibility you'll do the right thing if you buy that game few months after its release thanks to logic.
Maybe one day they'll fix all the bugs and glitches, but there's no way they can fix broken gameplay mechanics. Adding an attic or a balcony to a rickety mansion won't make it better.
A new big update, a new big disappointment after spending few hours with it. As a sci-fi lover I thought NMS would be a dream, but the idea of an infinite universe clearly doesn't work once you realize the pattern it follows it's based on very few elements. I'd prefer to explore a "small" solar system with a dozen of planets really interesting and surprising.
Both Siren and Fatal Frame deserve at least a remastered version on the current gen. It's a real shame these series aren't allowed to use all the power they can have now considering how creepy they were even on a PS2...
Summer is the busiest season for me since I work for a tour operator, but when I was at school/univeristy I used to spend most of my time outdoor. In the last few years however I made the habit of playing Alien Isolation every summer. At night it's always a chilling experience.
@nessisonett And it's a russian server whose privacy policy is several years outdated. I bet they are just collecting datas and testing software for facial recognition.
@Westernwolf4 Nope, I still have to try it. Too many good games out there, so I usually have to ignore dlc because of lack of time. But I played Death of the Outsider, and that was great too.
@Westernwolf4 I'm always happy when someone discover and appreciate a pearl like Dishonored 2 and its brilliant game design. What about Prey? Have you already played it?
I finally bought Sekiro so the answer is clear. But I also got Little Nightmares on the Store for € 5 and I could play it as a sedative after a long session of Katana & Blasphemies.
@Tasuki Here in Italy air conditioning is common in shops and offices, but not in houses. Maybe because heatwaves are a good excuse for not doing anything...
That red banner on the box saying "Day One Edition" sounds weird considering its flaws... I may give this a go next winter, when they'll release the cheaper "Call of Patchulhu" edition.

@Enuo IGN Italy rated this 8.2 and Death Stranding 9.8
"Italians rate it better"?

I'll consider this as other soulslike games and I'll buy it only after a price drop, especially since it seems you can 100% it in 15/20 hours.
