Re: Ancestors: The Humankind Odyssey - Too Much Monkeying Around in This Ambitious Survival Sim

I'm glad there are devs out there trying something different. I loved Death Stranding, right now I'm enjoying Kingdom Come Deliverance and I'll surely give Ancestors a try.
I have no time now to explain what I am looking for in gaming lately, but I'll post something more detailed about it soon.
In the meantime, I'd like to underline that in the Anglo-Saxon languages the word "fun" has its etymology in words referring to "hoax" and "cheat", while in the Romance languages the corresponding word comes from the Latin "divergere" that means "taking a different direction".

Re: Tekken 7 Patch 3.01 Causing Crashes When It Was Supposed to Fix Minor Bugs

andreoni79

"Designer and producer Michael Murray has been quick to respond on Twitter, saying that the development team is aware of the crashing (since everybody is complaining about it and not because they tested it properly before its release), and encourages people to reach out with more information (since doing that costs money and it's better if customers do that by themselves for free)."

Re: UK Sales Charts: FIFA 20 Surprises No One with Number One Debut

@TheArt Let's say people who love football should play the best football game around (and PES it's not even in the top ten) instead of a clearly inferior one only because of its name and its deadly microtransactions.
Any great sport game is a great videogame, especially since with € 60 you get a game you can play for a whole year.

Re: Ghost of Tsushima's Graphics Are So Beautiful They Leave PlayStation Boss Mesmerised

@Jaz007 Second Son looks better than many 2019 games, no doubt about it. But I think it aged very badly in terms of gameplay. I played it few days ago for the first time and it has been one of the weakest experience I have ever met on PS4. Same strategy against every enemy, no real difference between powers, easy even on the hardest difficulty level, eye-rolling humour...
I'll be very cautious about their new game...

Re: Control - Was Remedy's Return to PlayStation Worth the Wait?

@Danloaded If a certain game has tech issues at launch, there's a 90% possibility it will be a better game after few months thanks to patches. At the same time there's a 90% possibility its price will be reduced in few months thanks to sales. Therefore, there's a 90% possibility you'll do the right thing if you buy that game few months after its release thanks to logic.

Re: No Man's Sky's Beyond Update Launches 14th August Along with PSVR Support

A new big update, a new big disappointment after spending few hours with it. As a sci-fi lover I thought NMS would be a dream, but the idea of an infinite universe clearly doesn't work once you realize the pattern it follows it's based on very few elements. I'd prefer to explore a "small" solar system with a dozen of planets really interesting and surprising.

Re: Poll: What Are Your Summer Gaming Habits?

andreoni79

Summer is the busiest season for me since I work for a tour operator, but when I was at school/univeristy I used to spend most of my time outdoor.
In the last few years however I made the habit of playing Alien Isolation every summer. At night it's always a chilling experience.

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 278

I finally bought Sekiro so the answer is clear. But I also got Little Nightmares on the Store for € 5 and I could play it as a sedative after a long session of Katana & Blasphemies.
@Tasuki Here in Italy air conditioning is common in shops and offices, but not in houses. Maybe because heatwaves are a good excuse for not doing anything...
