Re: Lovecraftian Adventure Game Conarium Heading to PS4 Next Month

@Bonbonetti @Gmork___ I went through the game wondering why they added certain elements considering how bad thet were. Puzzles? 4 or 5 in the entire game, very easy and the character obviously tell you what to do as soon as he enters the room... Shooting? No need to aim, just press X when the icon appears above the enemy... Skill points? The game is the same, no matter if you invest them on strenght or investigation... Stealth? Well, that looked as actual gameplay, but it lasted few minutes.
It felt to me like a (not so much) interactive movie, and it costs more than a complete HPL books collection so it was a huge disappointment to me. 😢

You realize you are getting old when you receive as gift something you can wear at your own funeral instead of a useless videogame!

Re: Sony: Our Players Demand Single Player Games

@kyleforrester87 I think I got what you feel like... It's happening to me with RDR2 right now, it happened with TLOU and the Uncharted trilogy...
It's not a matter of cutscenes (they are always welcome) but a matter of gameplay: those games makes me feel like I'm just playing a part (as an actor could do in a movie set) instead of playing a game (as a kid hunting imaginary dinosaurs in a city park).
This is the reason I rated 10 games like Dishonored 2, Prey (2 games where I can really decide how to play), Bloodborne and Alien Isolation (since their gameplay is perfectly matching the world you are into).
If I am a kid in a sandbox I just wanna play and I don't wanna an adult near me screaming "You can't do this, you can't do that" as it happens with many AAA games.

Re: Call of Cthulhu - Eerie Adventure Game Is Enjoyable Enough

This game is crap. Finished it last night and I've spent most of the time laughing at the screen because of poor animation, stupid puzzles, broken stealth mechanics and a shooting session that would look pathetic even on a crappy phone game. And it already received 5 GB of patches... Push left stick up to beat the game, basically.

Re: RIDE 3 - High-Octane Motorcycle Realism

andreoni79

"The sheer number of tracks and bikes to unlock, not to mention available modifications, is head spinning."
"The gameplay is sensitive and enjoys basking in its own realism."
"As alluded to, the number of features offered is second to none."
"Presentation wise, the tracks and bikes look suitably pretty and will appeal to any motor head."
So I assume it got a 7 instead of an 8 or a 9 just because "the customisable human avatars, however, look a little on the dodgy side, with some glitchy hair effects and odd-looking face designs."
Just wondering, since I don't understand why a game that doesn't appeal the masses should be downgraded...
