Re: Fallout 76 - A Shockingly Bad Attempt at Multiplayer Survival

andreoni79

@tameshiyaku If Arkane Studios games are "soulless chores", then I'm a soulless gamer. The Dishonored series and Prey are a joy to play because of their game design. Doom, Wolfenstein and The Evil Within are all worth playing even if you are not a fan of shooters and horror.
Hope this crap won't pollute in any way the works of other studios...

Re: Poll: Do You Buy and Play Single Player Story DLC?

andreoni79

The Old Hunters it the only one I bought directly, but I played many others DLC thanks to the Definitive Editions of their base game (Dying Light, Witcher 3, Resi 7...)
As @Carlos82 stated, the offer is just too big. I'd like to play the Prey dlc, but in the meantime many new games arrived and older games and DLC I haven't bought before went on sale.
I think videogames this gen have a very long life span.

Re: The Quiet Man - PS4's Most Baffling Game

andreoni79

My extremely reasonable prediction for the DLC:
the main character finds an anonymous package in his mailbox, containing a hearing aid and two pills. After swallowing the blue pill he puts on the hearing aid and starts his journey again. Now he can listen to NPCs joking about his permanent erection, so now he has a good reason to punch them.
The game rating rises too, from 2 to 3.

Re: Spyro: Reignited Trilogy Still Requires Content Download for Second and Third Games

@JoeBlogs "This really is an online hobby nowadays".
I'd say "They really made this an online hobby nowadays". What's the point of forcing customers to go online with a single player game aside from charging costs of production to the customer himself without selling him the "real" good?
Once developers had to optimize the code to put it inside a limited support, now they can say "Who cares!?! Let them download the rest" or "Who cares?!? Let them buy a bigger hard disk". Half baked games, no booklets, poor testing... Meh.
I recently sold 4 PS1 games for a total of € 60 (Armored Core, Soul Reaver, G-Police and Broken Sword 2) since they are still playable, with their boxes and booklets making the joy of some collector. And now I have the money to buy me a brand new PS4 game while in 20 years our hard disks will be full of useless datas.

Re: Review: Call of Cthulhu (PS4)

andreoni79

Ouch. Sounds like a point and click adventure (with the typical pro and cons of the genre) transposed in a 3d world. I'll wait for some fixes and a price drop, especially if it's really that short...

Re: Poll: Have You Bought Red Dead Redemption 2?

andreoni79

@LN78 Let's say he rated his first impression of the game, which makes sense. But what about one of the biggest italian gaming site which rated the game even if the reviewer candidly confessed he reached only 68% of the main story?

Re: Poll: Have You Bought Red Dead Redemption 2?

I want to finish the two Metro before starting any new game since I'm totally into the atmosphere; in the meantime reviews of the upcoming Call of Cthulhu will arrive and hopefully Rockstar will fix some of those bugs and glithces in RDR2.

Re: Red Dead Redemption 2 Isn't Best on PS4 Pro, But It Still Looks Damn Fine

The Pushsquare article already said that the Xbox One X is the best version. People just stated that differences are not so important and DF videos are... meh. Than you arrived here, just to remember the XB1X version is the better... Then I remembered you that gaming is not just a matter of tech specs, otherwise any 60 fps 4K would be better than Bloodborne.
