I'm glad I backed this, never thought we'd see it. As for the graphics, I think they look decent enough (even if the grass does stick out like a sore thumb), I wasn't expecting something on the lines of The Witcher 3.

It's got an awful lot of competition now though, is the game good enough for people to quit World of Warcraft, Old Republic, Final Fantasy XIV, The Elder Scrolls Online and (soon to be released) Everquest Next? I doubt it. MMO's require an invested commitment and people won't want to abandon the many hours they've already put into said games. Note that the majority of them are western so I expect this will fare better in Japan anyway.

Just downloaded, heard that my Fire bird Wizard build is still ok but they've nerfed the whirlwind barbarian. Looking forward to seeing the new loot though.

Every Street Fighter fan knows by now that it's not coming to Xbox One and I'm pretty sure those that only have that console know about it too. That leaves us with those that don't have any of the consoles (or the people that don't read up on gaming news) to cater for. It's not a system seller as it once was (it is for me personally) but I guess they've put money into this game so they'll need to have store presence to make everyone else aware that yes, it is only on PS4.

Can't wait to get the collector's edition next month.

@get2sammyb They need to address it sooner rather than later. It's going to have a lot of negative feedback, though I guess people talking about it is what they want.

A bit disappointed there wasn't the rumoured Demon's Souls remaster but oh well. FFVII Remake looked fantastic and was the only game I wanted to be shown. Some of the indie games in that reel looked pretty interesting. Would have liked a release date and price on the VR headset though. Overall it was good, lots of games shown.

It was also sneaky last month to offer The Walking Dead Season 2 and half the price of the first. I ended up getting both.

Curious about the Kings Quest reboot but would have preferred if they offered the full season pass. I'll give Gauntlet a try too, love co-op games like that.

@ISawSilence Yes, it's very good, steeped in 80's nostalgia and the soundtrack is awesome.

I went back on Fallout 4 for the first time in over a week last night. Been too busy with The Witcher 3 still. Had it since launch and I'm still yet to finish it. Hands down the best RPG I've played in a decade since Knights of the Old Republic.

Timesplitters 2 was my favourite shooter of that gen BUT, it was the GameCube version I had. Higher resolution textures and with the Goldeneye heritage, seemed to make sense to have it on a Nintendo console not to mention the 4 controller ports.

@ericthecheese You must be in constant agony when any game is released then (barring Nintendo games, they're usually really well polished)

@get2sammyb I hope so, would rather own it it that way. If it's not out within 4 months, I'll just download it. Really liked the demo and the reviews have been consistently good.

Sonic was also very much a product of the 90's (and it shows) it's just that Sega refused to keep him there.

I loved reading CVG during that era. Paul Davies, Tom Guise, Ed Lomas.... they all had their unique spin on the articles they wrote. Really great in depth previews too. I used to love reading about Quake, NiGHTS, Super Mario 64 etc that they covered every month. Wish I still had the history of video games book that came with the above mentioned Christmas issue. Being a Saturn owner at the time was a bit disheartening reading about PlayStation exclusives such as Final Fantasy VII and Metal Gear Solid but all of my friends had one so I could always play them (eventually got my own anyway).

It seems now that most magazines are interested in reporting as one entity which is a shame as I like to think of the journalists as people just like us.

Any great PS2 game upscaled is fine by me.

With a lot of Digital Foundry articles though, us mere mortals without the number counting programs that they have would be hard pushed to notice, let alone care.

I'm a massive fan of the originals and was undecided whether to back it or not (not the richest guy at the moment) but as soon as I read your article that it might be the only chance of owning a physical copy I just had to do it. I can live on rice and peas for a few weeks right?

I'm still playing it but really taking my time, hoping I don't finish it by the time all of the download content has been released.

Physical release collector's edition including HD remasters of the original games should get a few more backers.

@WARDIE No it didn't. Fallout 3 was announced in 2007 and was released over a year later in 2008.

I don't mind games being held back to make sure they work properly but how about they don't give an initial release date until they know for definite that it will be ready? GTAV for the PC has had THREE different dates since it was announced and The Witcher 3 has had numerous dates too.

It wasn't important 20 years ago when games were more expensive on cartridge so I don't see what the difference is. Peoples expectations changing? I remember the first Uncharted taking around 6 hours to finish and I didn't feel short changed.

@adf86 Not sure if the current sticks that came out for the PS3 work on PS4 but I expect there will be a whole new range available once SFIV is released. I always wanted the Tournament stick on the 360 but it sold out pretty quick and now that Sony has SFV as an exclusive, I'd gladly part with cash for one.

Nope, I'm still older and I don't need to make a predetermined image of what sort of person you are. If you really are 30 (which reading your comments I seriously doubt it) I'd get help as you seem to have some major issues.

PES 15 for 30 quid was the best so far.

@get2sammyb I was thinking that. Could be the game that make certain people " Rage out" as some people put it. Seeing as though EA don't have a big Christmas shooter, at a long shot, I'd say Titanfall goty edition for ps4.
