"If I recall correctly, my co-worker Jeff put that in, because we were both fans of the show. (before it ended horribly)"
Interesting part. As Lost ended in 2010 and Fallout 4 was released in 2015, how long was it in development for and couldn't they have removed it if they stopped being fans?
@AmanK_Art I'm the opposite. While I have played the first 2 Olli Olli games, I'm yet to get world. Rollerdrome however is fantastic and well worth your time. Controls are sublime.
@JGruns Same here. My friend keeps going on about how he wants a great story in a game. I said to read a book or watch a film. Gameplay should always come first in a game (the clue is in the title), otherwise you can just watch a play through on YouTube. A great story with characters can help but it's not the be all end all.
@Agramonte I would love this VR to be PC compatible. The thought of using the eye tracking in a virtual production environment in UE5 is tantalising. The only problem is, though my old RTX 2070 had a USB C port, my current 3070 does not (I'm not sure if it could simply be jacked into any old port in the mobo too). Still, I live in hope.
If you'd have asked me a few weeks ago how much I thought the VR2 would cost, I would have said £400. HOWEVER! Since Sony charge £210 for the new controller, I upped that to £600 so I wasn't far off the mark. The specs on this headset are leagues ahead of some available on PC for way more money.
@anoyonmus Yeah I know. What I meant was, they've been using their own in-house engine for such a long time that it shouldn't be an issue for them in the first place.
@ShogunRok Will it though? They've been using the RED engine for years so you'd hope they're clued up on that. Assuming the devs have experience with Unreal engine (I'd like to think so), they may need to learn it. It does make it easier for outsourcing help though. Still, there's more to game development than simply a graphics engine.
I've been using Geforce Now on my Steam Deck to play Destiny 2 and it's actually very good if you're on a 5GHz connection. So good that even if I could install the game natively, I wouldn't do it just to save on the storage and battery. Having to pay full price for games certainly didn't help Stadia though.
@Coltaine22 I have a HDD just for storing files on but I wanted to test The Medium on it seeing as though the devs said an SSD was necessary. It ran fine on it.
@Korgon I actually hope it's not released so we can carry on thinking it ended with the first :') although actually including Part 1 in the title now pretty much guarantees that won't be the case.
@Breekhead I actually finished it the other week. Great game for VR but if you took that novelty away, it would be a boring walking simulator. You never shoot more than 4 enemies at once. The appeal is the interactivity and the physical act of actually aiming yourself and reloading.
@Voltan You're absolutely spot on. The Quixel assets that can be imported to Unreal engine 5 look impressive and are feasible to ship in a game. Whether or not the hardware can run it how you expect it to look in-engine is another thing.
@BoldAndBrash I know what you mean. Bungie were so confident in the Halo days.Look at how infrequent updates to the games were as they were polished and balanced already.
If you think that’s good Robert, PC gaming is going to blow your balls off. I get 100fps on average for Monster Hunter World including the hi res texture pack.
@Futureshark Because as much as I love Bloodborne, I'd rather play it at 144fps with proper frame pacing. That's why PC users want these games porting; I've played them all already on my PS4 but I'd rather have a better experience. Plus, Sony get to have my money twice. How is that not an enticing prospect?
@arsmolinarc I guarantee that small chunks isn't the way to go with this game. You can be having one conversation with someone for about ten minutes, then you've got other people in the same scene to talk to too.
@arsmolinarc “ I think this game can shine on a portable.” Any particular reason for thinking this? Personally, that’s the last format I’d pick. There’s an awful lot of reading to done in this game (even when you factor in they’re fully voice acting the new version) that will strain your eyes on a smaller screen. If the controls are going to be similar as Diablo III was on console, movement should be fine at least.
Sony already have my money from Bloodborne, Spider-Man, God of War etc. If they want to bring them to PC with unlocked frame rates, they can have my money again. If you’re spitting your dummy out at this mentality, ask yourself this; do you have shares in Sony? If the answer is “no”, you may want to re-evaluate your life.
I think this is the best step. Fleshing it out will provide more emotional attachment. HOWEVER.... I do think they need to make people aware that this is the first part. There will be people who are expecting this to be the full game.
“The PlayStation 2 classic became a bit of a punchline as the game was ported to every platform imaginable for the past decade”
Considering it was ported to the PS2 first, I feel the number of platforms it’s now available on is irrelevant. Like a classic film such as Blade Runner, everyone should have access to this in one form or another. If a remake is on the cards, minimal effort should be made gameplay wise.
I hope Capcom do the right thing and release Nemesis as DLC for Resident Evil 2 then Remake Code Veronica and title it as the true Resident Evil 3 without Sony breathing down their necks this time.
@LaNooch1978 Yeah it’s what Nintendo did with the New 3DS a few years back (Ambassador Edition). I got an email from them asking if I wanted it. Didn’t take them up on it.
Hoping for another FFVII trailer at least. It’s been 2 years since the last. Don’t forget the CGA awards (or whatever it’s called these days) for more announcements in December.
Don't raise the price without any improvements for starters. Wouldn't mind PS Now thrown in (or even 7 days a month for free, refreshing every month with a discounted price).

Re: Returnal Is Sony's Second Most Unpopular PC Game at Launch
@LordAinsley I bought it from CDKeys for £33. Played about 20 hours so far and loving it.

Re: Microsoft Invites Sony to Sign Its Own 10-Year Call of Duty Deal
The interesting takeaway is the implication of Nintendo releasing a console that will run Call of Duty. I reckon similar spec to a Steam Deck.
Re: Some of The Callisto Protocol's Death Animations Are Locked Behind the Season Pass
Talk about scraping the bottom of the barrel. If they can't come up with actual content for a season pass, then maybe it shouldn't have one.

Pretty sure any remake/ reboot where "the story for a modern-day audience" has been changed never turns out well.
Re: Random: Marvel's Spider-Man in First-Person Is Sick, Will Make You Sick
@Korgon There was already a Far From Home VR demo which came out a few years ago. It was pretty fun. https://youtu.be/E9K1108_18g

@RiceC03 Nah, even the LoU2 leak pales in comparison to the Half Life 2 leak in 2003.
Re: Resident Evil 4 Remake Is Now Coming to PS4 as Well
It's fine, I remember when the GameCube version was meant to be exclusive to that then it was ported to the PS2 (albeit graphically inferior).
Re: The Lords of the Fallen Drops the 2, Brings Gothic RPG Action to PS5
@Matej It worked for Final Destination and Fast and the Furious
Re: Beat It, PS Vita! Marvel's Spider-Man PC Will Fully Support Steam Deck
Just started playing Doom Eternal on the Deck and at high settings I get a solid 60fps on it. I’ll definitely give Spider-Man another whirl on it.

@Breekhead Not to be pedantic, that's Steam exclusive. The PS ports are available for other launchers like Epic Games Store.
Re: The Last of Us: Part I Is Coming to PC 'Very Soon' After PS5 Launch
The RRP for FFVII Remake is £70 on Epic Games and Steam so it could well be the same (although Spider-Man is £55).
Re: EVO, Sony, and Epic Working to Reduce Fighting Game Input Latency
If people are only playing on PS4, there won't be an issue but when you go from PC to PS4, that's when you have to compensate your timing.
