Re: Yes, Destiny 2 Is 30fps on PS4, PS4 Pro

Bungie's shooters have always been 30FPS (nobody complained when it was Halo) and they have always been fantastic when it comes to the gunplay. I would have liked it but it is what it is. I'll still be buying it.

Only played the reboot but the characters were so cliched, they made my teeth itch. You had the the massive black shaman guy, the American/ Japanese girl wanting to "get in touch with her Japanese roots" that she knew nothing about, the techie nerd guy and Lara who just sounded so dramatic in everything she said. Great game overall though, just bad writing.

Re: E3 2016: Bethesda Admits Fallout 4's Dialogue System Isn't All That Great

Worlock_ed

Compare it to the old infinity engine RPG's (Fallout, Planescape, Baldur's Gate etc) and it's laughably simple and insultingly basic. Those games had many more outcomes but again, that could be down to it only being text and not fully voiced. It felt like every choice mattered whereas in Fallout 4, the outcome was the same no matter what dialogue option you picked.

Re: June's PlayStation Plus Games Will Be Revealed Next Week

I bought NBA 2K14 shortly after I got my PS4 a few years back. I hadn't bought a basketball game since NBA Live 95 (used to be the only sport I liked back when I was a kid). Imagine my surprise when it turns out to be really complicated. It felt like I was playing FFXIV. The face buttons have different functions depending on the triggered you're holding, a far cry from the Mega Drives 3 button controller. Great graphics and ideally liked the daily update that was included (video highlights of NBA news) but too complicated for what I wanted at the time. Would definitely give it another go if the latest is a PS Plus title.

Re: And Here's Battleborn's PS4 Launch Trailer

@Yaster To be fair, I've yet to meet anyone who is excited for Battleborn (and I mean people who are planning to buy it on release). As I've said before, I kept getting this game confused with Overwatch as both have very generic titles. It wasn't until I watched some videos that Overwatch caught my eye (or to be more precise, I went to Video Games Live in Manchester last month and they played a song from it alongside a CGI video which led me to delve deeper) and I'm quite interested. As for Battleborn, the first trailer I saw for that was just a load of characters shouting and appearing to be...edgy? Cool? Likeable? Not sure how I'd describe it. So yeah, I'm in the same boat as many others and it's not really "cool all of a sudden to be down on Battleborn", it's been like that from the start as far as I can tell.

"The launch trailer for Battleborn is in. The game's due out on the PlayStation 4 next week"

Straight to the point, love it

Doesn't appeal to me either, more looking forward to Overwatch. Just got FFXIV though so I'm guessing all my gaming time will be in that for the foreseeable future.

Re: PS4 Fans Are So Mad at PlayStation Plus They're Making Parodies

Worlock_ed

The thing is, during the PS3 days when having a PS Plus subscription wasn't mandatory for playing online, there were triple A (hate to use that term but it's all I've got) games being given away every month to lure people on board. Now you need PS Plus to play online and it seems all we get are indie games. I'm not fussed as I like them but I can understand peoples problem, there must surely be more subscribers than last gen that Sony are earning much more money and therefore can throw us a bone more often than they do (Injustice was the last "big" game I remember, over a year ago).

Re: Review: Street Fighter V (PS4)

@Shillll One thing I would like to know if you (or anyone else) can confirm? I read the other day that other USB devices are supported. I have the Xbox 360 SFIV control pad from a few years back. it works great as a generic USB controller on my PC, would this have the same affect on SFV on PS4 or are the insides too much like a 360 pad and won't work at all?
