With such memorable lines as "who's she talking to?" and "where's his Ghost?" all delivered in the most monotone way imaginable, Destiny's Ghost companion, voiced by Game of Thrones actor Peter Dinklage, somehow didn't make a good enough impression to feature in the shooter's upcoming expansion, The Taken King. The floating artificial intelligence didn't featured in the title's previous two add-ons, either, so we reckon this decision has got a lot to do with contracts and heaps of green paper.

So, who's taking up the role of everyone's favourite little hunk of useless metal? Why, it's none other than video game voice acting extraordinaire Nolan North, who spoke with Game Informer. "They let me bring what I wanted to the role. You have to give it your own spin. For that reason, I specifically said I didn't want to hear anything that someone else had done, so that I didn't have some preconceived notion of what it has to be. Instead, I just gave it my stamp, and let them direct me accordingly." Sounds promising, but then again, it couldn't possibly get worse, could it?

What's more, North won't just be voicing your Ghost for the expansion. Bungie's went the whole way with this one, and has actually rerecorded all of the game's original dialogue alongside the man who brings Nathan Drake to life. With any luck, he'll bring some much needed spark to the sci-fi adventure's completely lacking storyline.

Is this good news for you? Were you sick of hearing Dinklage's uninspired performance? Do you think that Nolan North can do any better? Do everyone a favour and write a better script in the comments section below.
