Always wanted to try Destiny 2, but a little intimidated by all the expansions and super experienced existing players.

Just as it was in the case of Dead Space, as much as I wish I had, I never got around to playing Metal Gear Rising on PS3. I’ve now got to play Dead Space on PS5 (at least I will when I’m out of hospital) and I’d love to do the same with MGR. Let’s hope this upcoming anniversary event doesn’t disappoint… but I’ll be keeping my expectations in check just in case.

@FOXHOUND_MGS5 Aww, thank you my friend. Crohn’s sure isn’t nice, and I feel for you, too. I was diagnosed in 2008 and have had to have bowel resections, 4-month hospital stays and even a near death experience. I’d been doing quite well recently, but this latest attack was real bad, proper 10/10 pain. I’m feeling much better now, but they want to keep me in for a few more days yet. And I was just one session away from finishing The Last of Us Part I 😞 Never mind, I’ll be home soon.

Yep, I’ve got a 10% discount code. Trouble is, I buy pretty much all my PS5 games physically. There may be a digital-only game on the store I can find before the code expires.

I’m in hospital at the moment – had a severe Crohn’s flare up on Monday. I’m nil by mouth and due for an MRI tomorrow – so it’d be nice to treat myself to something like Chicory: A Colorful Tale or Inscryption when I’m eventually discharged.

I’ve nearly finished the incredible The Last of Us Part I on PS5, which I bought at release, but only recently gotten around to playing. Once that’s wrapped up, I’ll finally be moving on to Stray, which was a Christmas present from my wife, and then NieR Automata, which was a Christmas present to myself. I’ll be honest, I bought it on Switch first, but enjoyed the opening couple hours so much, I just had to experience that super slick combat at a full 60fps on the big TV.

This is one of those games I’d pick up physically for £15 in a year or two.

Well that’s me officially excited!

@playstation1995 Oh man, you hit the nail on the head there. I’d love a port of Muramasa Rebirth on PS5 and Switch. It’s so good, I’d buy it again twice over!

I’m really excited for this, but at £70, I’ll wait for reviews before biting the bullet on a pre-order.

On PS5, I’m playing The Last of Us Part I and kinda wishing there was a mod to change Joel’s face to Pedro Pascal (just kidding). Over on Series X, meanwhile, I’m having a great time with both Psychonauts 2 and PowerWash Simulator.

I’ve put twenty hours into this on Series X and enjoying it so much that I may just pick it up on PS5 to PowerWash my way to a shiny Platinum trophy! Such an addicting, cathartic game. Plus, I’m a big fan of FuturLab from the Velocity games.

I’ll be trying this on Game Pass (Series X) for sure. If I fall in love with it however, I’ll most likely buy the physical on PS5. Indeed, PS5 is my first console since PS3 where I’ve gone all physical. Where possible of course. All my other games on PS4, Switch and Xbox are digital.

They projected to ship FIVE MILLION units? Even Metroid Dread – a universally acclaimed title from an established and beloved IP – only sold 2.9m copies! Absolutely insane expectations.

Having stopped to play the masterful God of War Ragnarok, I’ve now gone back to wrap up The Last of Us Part I. Man, it’s a great game. Sure, Sony messed up the pricing, but it’s still one heck of a game!

Like most PlayStation fans, I cannot wait to watch the TV adaptation of The Last of Us…

Having recently finished God of War Ragnarok, I can comfortably say that it is worth every single accolade and top spot in the charts that it has received. Ragnarok is an absolute masterpiece in every sense of the word.

Definitely Dead Space for me. But if we could’ve had a second pick, it would have been Persona 4 Golden. Man, I loved that game on Vita.

And totally deserved it is, too! Half my Push Square comments in 2022 must’ve been related to God of War Ragnarok, but BOY do I love it. May as well start 2023 in the same vein.

The Draupnir Spear has become my favourite weapon, but I also dig that sword, Indrid, that Odin gave Atreus.

Unsurprisingly, the fabulous God of War Ragnarok takes both the staff and the readers top honour for 2022. And thoroughly deserved it is too! I’m also pleased to see Gran Turismo 7 recognised by my fellow readers!

Well, my beloved Gran Turismo 7 didn’t make the top ten, but at least the even better God of War Ragnarok won the whole damn thing. Richly deserved.

I’ve finished God of War Ragnarok but going back in to mop up a few bits and pieces. After that, I’m going to finally start Elden Ring and just pray that I’m skilled enough to enjoy it. Can’t wait to find out.

I love this kinda open world (Breath of the Wild Like?), but worried the difficulty will affect my enjoyment of the game. You never know though, maybe it’ll just click with me.

Gran Turismo 7 was my game of the year for much of 2022. Then Ragnarok came along and blitzed it and every other game this year. A genuine masterpiece.

Obviously that leaves HFW, GOWR and ER. Assuming they take up the remaining three spots, it’s borderline criminal there isn’t a place for Gran Turismo 7 in Push Square’s top ten games of 2022. Opinions and all that, but it was definitely one of my highlights of the year, that’s for sure.

The more I see Sonic Frontiers in these lists, the more I’m convinced that I should give it a try… at some point.

Good to see God of War Ragnarok still holding strong.

For me, this has been the best list so far. Though I’d change the order around a little.

More God of War Ragnarok for me this weekend. Additionally, my daughter has bought me The Callisto Protocol for Christmas, so I’ll more than likely at least check that out tomorrow. Hope I find it better than those who’ve not got on with the game. If it’s a solid 7/10, I’ll be more than happy. Over on Xbox, meanwhile, I’ll no doubt be trying – and failing – to tear myself away from Vampire Survivors.

I’m a whisker over 30 hours into God of War Ragnarok and on the home straight, so that’s what I’ll be concentrating on this weekend. I’m doing a lot of side content, but hopefully, I should have it wrapped up this side of Christmas. What an outstanding experience, it has even managed to pip Gran Turismo 7 as my favourite game of 2022.

Other than that, I’ll also check out the PS5 update for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, a game I never finished on PS4. Hopefully this time, Geralt!

God of War Ragnarok, Gran Turismo 7 and Elden Ring are definitely my top three. Tunic and Horizon Forbidden West take up the remaining two spots.

Despite putting close to 70 hours into it, I was ultimately left a little disappointed by Aloy’s PS5 debut. HFW nailed the combat and gameplay, but the story just bored me in the end. Still a solid 8/10 all things considered though.

By the way, I love the voting format this year, folks! May the best game win!

So happy to see God of War Ragnarok on top spot. I’m 28hrs in and having an absolute blast. Definitely my favourite game of 2022.

I’ve got a massive backlog across PS5, Xbox and Switch, so I’m gonna wait for a sale. If it had reviewed stronger I’d have probably picked it up in the next week or two, but as it stands, I can wait a while yet.

@brazzios_84 No, of course everything isn’t released on Game Pass, but the leaker has already stated that Monster Hunter Rise will be on the service! Hence why I said I’d play it there.

This is fabulous news. Though I’d probably play on my Series S via Game Pass. Glad Rise gets the chance to be enjoyed by more gamers on new platforms.

I’m 15hrs in. No bugs or glitches whatsoever as yet. What a game this is. Even better than 2018. Well, so far.

I also noticed that Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart was updated overnight. Wonder what those patch notes are?

I’m still steadily working my way through God of War Ragnarok, and I couldn’t be happier with the game. I’m around 12 or so hours in and it’s been the most fun gaming I’ve had all year. Still taking my time as I really don’t want it to end.
