It makes no sense for them in a business point of virw dor two reasons. If you said at this point in time they would reverse it, it would only make sense, as long as they sell the games to xbox series users and pc users and not put them on game pass day one. Thus having two avenues of money coming in, but then they would lose game pass subscriptions.
The second reason is if this ties in with helix, they would again need to remove from gamepass, however there is only one revenue stream, as helix is a pc so no console sales. Now take into account as well for pc, they either make then only available by Windows store, otherwise they lose up to a further 30% revenue selling on other stores like steam and epic.
Also helix is going to be very premium, you will get even less user base than series has now.

I dont think ps6 will come until the end of 2028 at the earliest and I am happy about that. If they can push the pro to the max, and make that the focal point, especially with the new games and the new pssr, then people will see it more of its own console. Because of pssr I reckon unlike ps4 pro, they should drop ps5 stock and focus on ps5 pro as the real alternative.

Because I have a good Internet, I don't think the ps6 handheld will be for me, unless it's 4k hdr. The portal currently does almost everything I need, I just need it so stream my ps4 library running on a ps5 so they are best possible versions. Be nice to stream ps3 library too

Dragon age inquisition is in my backlog. What does update mean for the game? I am not fussed if it doesn't prevent single player completion but just concerned it is something I need to do?

Will ger starfield and south of midnight in the future on sale or through plus. Not because I think they are not worth it, but because my backlog is so big and I stopped buying games altogether. However I wouldn't touch kiln at all. Looks boring nonsense to me.

Cant say it has, as I tend not to buy ps5 games anymore due to backlog and then wishlist games coming to plus.
I did re buy The Order 1886 digitally yesterday for 12.49, even though I own it physically, just because I am too lazy to keep swapping discs out. Hopefully that is not dynamically cheaper anywhere else

For me it does due to the streaming on the Portal. That ia far better quality than remote play and has allowed me loads more gaming time than I previously had. If they did away with the one game and allowed me to stream .u ps4 collection and or ps3 collection that would be even better.

Space Marine and Metal Eden for me too. Overall happy with these as a premium subscriber, as I hammer the streaming

The most damaging thing this article says to me, is that is not as instantly accessible or as fun as Arc Raiders. I found that game not to be fun or accessible.
Omboarding me, as a single player mainstream player, I have no clue why or what am doing in these games. At least with Helldivers, a multiplayer wirh no story, I can see I am building up my character to take on the world. If I die, then it's fine and I learn my lesson, and I may feel compelled to go again. However with extraction shooters, losing everything I have built up to chance, to then have to start over with next to nothing baffles me. Even hard as ***** games like dark souls, all you lose is your in game currency that builds up your character. But at least you get a chance to retrieve it back and you are back to full strength. I know it's me, but if a game doesn't have an ongoing story or doesnt feel like wasted time building a super character to lose it all in one round, it seems pointless.

For historical games like spiderman and god of war, there is nothing to stop sony from removing these games from sale on pcs from a point in time. Therefore only pc players who already purchaeed them, csn continue to use them but no new sales

Jisr having watched digital foundry weekly podcast. Some people are going to be disappointed as apparently capcom have removed ray tracing from res 9 due to some noise issues with re engine

PvE only for me and solo play at that. I enjoyed destiny and division because of this.
I cant stand arc raiders as no story and grind for nothing to show. And helldivers although i found it better with preogressiin, its pretty much impossible to play long term solo.
I just dont like playing with strangers and adult life makes it possible to get sessions with friends

Starting to get the feel for the controls again now. It's definitely a good looking game.

@Krlozgod but that's not been the case. If you had seen the discontent on these sites, where ps players are really considering just moving to pc and just waiting a year to catch up on the games. I mean everyone's backlog is so big, they can afford to wait. Therefore just taking out a month's ps plus would be more beneficial. At least playing plus premium on portal or ps5, you have invested in the hardware and more likely to make the impulse buy of a game.

@Krlozgod because it still defeats the purpose of being console exclusive if you can play the games on a non playstation device.
Right now you can play Ghost of Tsushima, God of War Ragnorak, Ratchet and Clank, Returnal, Last of Us Part 1 a& 2 and other ps exclusives from ps4 era if its rhe full ps plus library. What's to stop 1.5% pc players and dare I say it, the new Xbox PC players, from taking out a month's subscription to play those single player games. That's worse devaluation than releasing as full price games on the system.

I got a question. I know you only need a ps portal to play ps plus premium streaming.
Can you stream ps plus games on a PC? I am not talking remote play, but physically stream?
If so they need to cut that out too as that's a work around.

I dont know if I am looking at it wrong but I see the Horizon game more like a destiny or division. I.e. it can be played solo and enjoyed like that. I mean I dont see people slating monster hunter and that is essentially what the horizon game is?

I'm a digital only now, I no longer look for physical deals. The convenience of digital is too great now. No physical storage for games casing, no need to pop disc in and out, and now with the Portal, just being able to stream is a god send. I haven't touched my physical elden ring because I cant be bothered to put the disc in the drive. This is a person who bought the disc based ps5 day 1 and then bought the disc attachment months in advance for the pro day 1. It really is only for backlog games or ps4 physical games.

Really enjoyed this game. However I hit a game breaking bug for the trophies and I couldn't get the last trophies despite doing it. The save was corrupted, and not matter how many restarts/reloads I couldn't get it. I wasn't going to do a second run through of it to get the trophy.

With the elder scrolls, which version is it?

I think they need to drop games pass, and go back to the old monthly games. This would not save them paying for external games to be on it, especially day one games, but would also force more customers to purchase games on their platform and get the 30% revenue.

I think subscriptions should really be for your own companies games only, and day one should be a no go.

I know it's controversial, as it seems anti gamer, but look at all the companies dying now.

People are not buying new games, and focusing on the massive backlogs of rented games. AA and AAA games are baring the brunt if this

@Mio_Nakashima same here, only day one purchase for me was astrobot for the little one. I have about over 300 games in backlog, with the majority purchased in sales, or attained through plus and premium. I have been focusing on premium/ extra games currently so that I don't have to purchase them in the future. I very rarely return to a game once completed, so that is a lost sale if I am playing them through that service.

I am still part way through valhalla without touching dlc, then I got mirage and shadows to. So being single minded, I hope it's a while before we get another so I can catch up

I haven't bought a single sports game outside fifa/fc for a couple of sessions. And i have loads of sports titles from basketball to baseball to wrestling / Ufc / golf / hockey.
If your not bothered by rosters, you never really need to buy one to experience one lol

@Krlozgod that's only true if games are less thab the 100gb limit on disc. There are not many games that do dual discs. With games now starting to exceed these limits because of higher quality textures etc, this limit is going to hit more future games.

I am not saying there shouldn't be a disc drive option. I absolutely think this is a must have.
I am just saying my preference for the way I play has changed massively, especially because of the Portal.

We also need to consider this ps6 handheld. That wont have an optical drive, so I dont think many people will want to double dip on purchases, unless they work a way with disc licenses.

I for one, will be going discless on my next playsation console. I bought the disc ps5 day one, and then bought the pro and disc drive.
One reason everyone including Shaun is forgetting, is that most games dont fully ship on the discs. They need day 1 patch and have to fully install on the drive anyway. It's not like ps3 days where you can play straight off the disc. It started happening on ps4. But ps5, I dont think hardly any big aaa games come fully playable on the disc. Bring into the act, a lot of games have some form of live service, and some games on disc dont even work once sections of the game are shutdown.
Due to the Portal and storage space, I now find it more appealing that I can just pick up and play, without having to change physical discs and I can change at a whim. I found myself rebuying alot of the disc games on digital store sales.

@Axelay71 Never played anthem or crew personally as multiplayer. I did the single player campaigns and the good games. But having bought them, no longer being able to play them i feel is a far worse sit1uation than renting and no longer be available to rent. It doesnt really matter if you enjoy those games or not, as games are a preference. However the difference between owning something and losing it, and renting and running out of time is a lot.

I think they do need to slow down on these games though altogether. As I said I have every game so far on ps4 and ps5 but I have only played kiwami 1 and LaD Gaiden. I still have to do the following;

@Broosh I think that is what i will have to do to follow the story. Just get kiwami 3 down the line and re-experience the game in time for the new cannon

I have all the ps4 and ps5 yakuza games but i have only played, kiwami 1 and like a dragin gaiden. So as i haven't yet started kiwami 2 yet which is next on my list what do i do then?
Do i skip 3, 4 ,5 remasters?
What about the story in number 6, does that link to those three remastees? Does flow from kiwami 3?
I kind of know some.plot points of 6 which led into Gaiden?

Have completed spider man 2 but as I bought it phyiscal I cant play it on the Portal unless I remote play. Remote play is nowhere near the level of streaming play on the Portal, so this great for to jump in when I want.

@Balaam_ work around is via ps5 itself. Where you can click to play game, there are three dots. Click on that click view product and you can then purchase it even if you have it on ps plus. That is literally the only way.
The bigger problem is what the first guy said. If you had really purchased it, but then went through ps plus extra and clicked on it their. It's changes your purchase to rental status with plus meaning if it's removed you lose your purchase licence to the game.

Well hopefully they release horizon 3, 4 and 5 soon, God knows when we will get horizon 6 as per the question? Unless your talking about forza horizon 6

As long as it is pve and has the same sort of feel of horizon then I am all for this. If it becomes a pvpve then I am not interested at all

@Game2590 I know, I think ps plus is great value anyway, and getting to try undisputed more than makes up for it. I just thought that it was highly unlikely that this would appear, as I waited over a month since the ac8 trailer to buy this thinking it would in December or Januarys update. Nevermind
