Re: Dead Island 3 Officially Confirmed in the Least Interesting Way Possible

TheFakulty

Yes loved Dead Island 2, even more so as I completed on PS Plus extra. I think that's what has given me the push to complete any wishlist games that appear on ps plus extra / premium, as I was holding back to play backlog games I bought. However this game really changed that perspective, and now those games are priority. For example I have had to buy Dying Light 2 and Revenant 2 because I didnt play them when they were on plus

Re: PS5's Biggest Game Fortnite Accused of Using AI Art

TheFakulty

As long as the games turn out to be fun, enjoyable and more importantly cheaper. As a consumer, I never look to see all people who made the games in the end credits (I skip if possible) so I am not going to pretend like I would be concerned. How many people can now truly own up to going to a bank, withdrawing their cash from a cashier, and going to physical shops everyday to purchase their goods at a human teller. No paying by card or phone, just by cash. That is where this started, I.e. doing people out of jobs for convenience. A.i. well just be another convenience, more games made at quicker rates, which we will consume, if they make our individual lives better.

Re: Ahead of Renegades Launch, Destiny 2 Dev Explains New Approach to Expansions

TheFakulty

You know i would actually go through the whole damn story again if I could. Meaning they would have to return the vaulted content, and allow me to purchase battlepass content and find a way to allow us to experience a watered down single player raid experience. I bet you if they did that, they would get a lot of players back. I have never had a second character, I have always been a warlock in d1 and d2, but I would love to do the whole thing, including d1 story as one of the others. I mean that's at least 100hrs commitment there per character (without doing the strikes and multiplayer). Even if they resold it as the ultimate bundle with destiny 1 redone in destiny2 engine. I would re-buy. As long as I could access all content, including versions of raids accessible to single or strike style players of 3. I know it would take some adapting but man it would be the ultimate experience. It could be cross play with the current d2 community so there are player counts there already.

Re: Ahead of Renegades Launch, Destiny 2 Dev Explains New Approach to Expansions

TheFakulty

I haven't purchased any expansions for about 4 years now. Just wait for them on plus. I was a seasoned regular on d1 and d2 ubtil they went with the battlepass systen, which correlated with them taking away content i had bought However, as many have pointed out, even playing those expansions for free on plus a year behind, I haven't got a clue what is really going on as there is so much story lost in those battle passes that can never be experienced. I am doing the final shape at the moment and I am like how the fcuk did they get to this part here.
And this seems really silly but I didnt realise until the first poster mentioned that story is tied to raids. Raids that single players can't experience because there has never been match making. So unless you go external or have friends you can't do them.

Re: PS Plus Essential Games for December 2025 Announced

TheFakulty

Excellent line up of games for me. Have none of them, but looking at the video of plus, they all look like something I would give a go. Again. For £13.49 for premium that's about as much as a kfc meal and I have all the option of the higher tiers too.
My backlog just got bigger and now I am safe to buy marvel fighting collection and forza in the black Friday sale

Re: These 9 PS Plus Games Are Leaving in December 2025

TheFakulty

@saffeqwe was about to ask how long that game is realistically. I always check How Long To Beat, but I must either be really slow, methodical or others just speed through to boast how quick they complete games. It's says 16hrs on HLTB site so i will take your time as more realistic. Guess I will have to switch focus from games I own that I am playing to completing sonic first, then lost records, then blue prince.
I love and hate the premium prescription. I play on my portal loads now, but the backlog keeps getting bigger as I rush to complete games that were on my wishlist but came out on plus.

Re: Hands On: PS Portal Is a Whole New Device with Cloud Streaming Update

TheFakulty

@1970sGamer I like df a lot but they are first to admit they are snobby when it comes to cloud gaming. They don't like it.
I have been playing the final shape destiny 2 and it was very playable. It's not as smooth as doing on the ps5 but that is 120fps

I also been playing nfs unbound and have been doing well in it on the Portal. Especially as that game is ludicrously hard due to rubber banding

Re: Monster Hunter Wilds Doing So Badly That's It's Been Outsold by MH Rise, Devil May Cry 5

TheFakulty

I mean massive sales of mh world may have skewered their predictions. I dont know the sales figures for that game but say 20mil bought over its lifespan. If half loved and half hated it (I struggle with it personally), then the first half will likely rush out and buy it in the first 6 months. The rest of us will probably never buy it as we didnt get on with the first one, wait for it to hit a subscription service to try before buy, or wait for an incredibly low sale. Just because the last one sold bucket loads does not mean the next one will, as everyone forms an opinion on it.

Re: Battlefield REDSEC Is BF6's Free-to-Play Battle Royale Mode, and It's Out Now on PS5

TheFakulty

@REALAIS yes that is exactly what I am saying. So the bread and butter mp that most people loved in the paid up front games for COD is declining because the players are getting similar free content. Therefore reducing numbers. It's no coincidence that COD no longer releases paid dlc maps now as the reduced player base isn't worth it. This could up end the same for BF with more focus on the free to play if suddenly the numbers swell there. I dont play either game mp, so not gonna be affected but would be sad to see a return to form for BF, ruined by spreading out its player base

Re: Talking Point: PS6 In 2027 - How Do You Feel About Sony's Next-Gen Console?

TheFakulty

I bought ps1 day one. Ps2 once gta3 launched a year later. I bought ps3 when slim came out that Xmas and ever since then I bought pa4, ps4 pro, ps5 and ps5 pro, ps portal day one. Never bought psp.
I bought vita, psvr, psvr2 all after a year on the market.

However, I wont be buying ps6 day one this time. I will get one. Maybe a year or so after launch.
This mainly due to the backlog, and the fact I no longer buy games brand new because of the backlog. I find I am playing either ps4 games or upgraded ps4 games more these days. I have bought far more ps3 games recently.

I think the only way I would buy ps6 day one is if it could run ps3 games, and bonus if it can upgrade them. Then I could sack off ps3 finally and just game on one system.

I dont care if the games go on pc day one. I dont want a PC for gaming. I want pick up and play. I love playing games on the Portal. I just wish they open up, so I can stream all my library ps3 to ps5 on it. That would cure my backlog

Re: PS6 Out 'in a Few Years' as Sony, AMD Discuss the Future of Games

TheFakulty

Am I the only one here, that doesn't care about the article in terms of PS6, but what they have said about the full fat version of fsr4 launching next year for the pro. That's what I want to hear more about. What are the improvements because we have that console now.
I am also wondering if they will launch a version of pssr for the ps5 when it's in low power mode to really test the functionality of the potential handheld device. The would be more wiggle room for pssr to be available on a ps5 at the point. It might mean that you are then get same results in low power mode as you would normally
