Re: Hands On: Is King of Fighters XIV on PS4 Worthy of Its Royal Title?

Spirit_Psalm91

KoF always gets hear for its graphics. But imo, I like the "old school" visuals that has been kept. I like the demo so far, and yes Nelson is cool! My competitive characters were always Kim, Terry, King, Ryo, Joe and Yamazaki. I'm going to have a lot of fun in this game and will preorder it. I appreciate the full package that SNK is releasing. That's what's up!

Wow... 6/10 is pretty low imo. All is well though. RE5 still is my favorite game of last gen and I play it a lot on PS4. Pretty spot on reveiw though nontheless..

It is kinda strange to see the game running at higher frame rates on the playable parts, and then notice a considerable amount of dipping on most cut scenes/qte's.

The frame dips I noticed:

  • The qte when Chris is pulled by a chain
  • The first giant moth creature scene after defeating it
  • The giant crab qte
  • Fighting Wesker in the plane
  • The scene showing Wesker using oroboros after the plane crashes
  • Wesker pulling on the helicopter

Capcom treated RE6 a lot better. But 5 is still my favorite.

Re: E3 2016: Sony's Surprised Microsoft Announced Xbox Scorpio Over a Year Ahead of Time

Spirit_Psalm91

Natural or an unnatural source is fine in regards to Sony admitting the existence of a PS4K/Neo. I did however find Microsoft's revealing of the Xbox S and then the Xbox Scorpio to be a scrambled eggs announcement. Because I'm thinking like, "alright if I'm a potential Xbox One customer why would I purchase the Xbox One Slim if I might as well wait for this Scorpio Xbox??"

Anyways.. Good organization on Sony's part. And i agree with House, the consumer has changed. It's better not to announce something so far in advance anymore. But as you said @get2sammyb Sony needs to apply that practice in their games division also.

Re: Feature: All the E3 2016 Press Conferences Rated and Reviewed

Spirit_Psalm91

I maintain an open mind and low expectations which is why I enjoyed Sony's presentation from start to finish. Everything else was mediocre at best. I guess this is the open world generation (more or less), so, there's a lot to choose from. RE7 was my favorite highlight along with more Battlefield 1 and Watch Dogs 2 footage. Those three I'm looking forward to.

Good article @get2sammyb.

Re: Is It Almost Time for Resident Evil 7 on PS4?

Spirit_Psalm91

"But after the disappointment of Resident Evil 6, what do you even want out of this franchise anymore?"

That's the question....
My answer, I don't even know. This game has been in too many different hands to even keep a consistent direction in a good way. I'll see what's next but my expectations are pretty slim to non. I can't even imagine the dlc pay scale Capcom will enforce in RE7.

Biohazard is a better name title imo.

Idk...

Re: Soapbox: Sony Needs to Set the Record Straight on PS4K Soon

Spirit_Psalm91

Good article points.
Although I'm not interested in buying the 4K, I definitely understand why people who already have the PS4 is upset though. Sony is in a big lead up from their competition with sales and all so, what are they afraid of? If this so called upgrade is in the regards of "keeping with the times" or just for the sake of having the best of the best console out there on the market then, why bother? These other companies (3rd party's) are saying that it will be compatible with the current PS4 model and no 4K exclusives. Imo I don't think this is a good idea for them (Sony) to do this because they would be making the original PS4 obsolete.

Sony has everything going right for them in a major positive way in regards to the PlayStation brand right now. Why make your consumers mad (the one's who are mad about this anyway)?

Just save all of your next console ideas for the PS5, Sony.

A very spot on review of the worst RE game ever so far. Although I wouldn't call it a "remaster", it's just an untouched PC port with an exception of 1080/60. Imo I don't even want to look at how RE7 will turn out (if that game is even in development). How Capcom can afford to keep putting out garbage is beyond me. And is no wonder that their business practices with games like SFV are just "game services".

Idk about Capcom anymore. They're just better of selling their ip's...

Re: Capcom: We Underestimated Street Fighter V's Single Player Popularity

Spirit_Psalm91

Come on, Capcom.... Obviously..
Capcom put together a Street Fighter "gaming service" as a 5th installment. A totally different approach than the norm. Of course they're not the only company to go that route in terms of business.

We will see more and more games pieced together in dlc packs and season passes, which is very uncomfortable for those who don't like this practice as a whole.

The most I played SFV was back in the first two weeks of the release. Since then, the game has been unappealing to me besides a fight or two here and there..

I guess it's a hard lesson to Capcom not to try fixing what was never broken in the first place. In my experiences SFV is the first fighting game that doesn't have an arcade mode. Even non serious fighting games like TMNT Tournament Fighters, Power Stone, or even Shaq Fu had a Story or Arcade Mode.

All of these consoles over the years to the current PS4/Xbox One we been getting the bare minimum of content for more money including dlc/season passes. Street Fighter 5 "Verses Mode Beta Edition"....

Capcom is only hurting themselves.
Maybe we will see the premier of Resident Evil 7 and how stripped down that will be under a 64.19 price tag soon?..

Re: Review: Street Fighter V (PS4)

Spirit_Psalm91

Solid review man! Nice!
I've been playing SF since the very first arcade with the BIG buttons, lol. So I was going to buy 5 anyway. I played the beta a lot. A huge improvement over 4 imo, especially that ridiculously LOUD AUDIO, invincible back dashes, and those focus attack links that made every character play the same. Street Fighter 5 is definitely better.

Re: Could Rise of the Tomb Raider Plunder PS4 Earlier Than Expected?

Spirit_Psalm91

@Cron_13
Look I'm going to tell you like this, "I Don't Care..." There is absolutely nothing you can do to stop me from expressing my opinion regardless of how subtle you try to come back arguing with someone you don't even know. I don't care if you don't believe me, I would be silly to even try convincing you or anyone to believe me. I know myself better than you can even guess my personality. There are far too many people with your combative attitude towards anyone who might have an opinion different from yours.

I'm not the one to come at anyone's neck about anything that is different from what I say or comment on. If you don't agree with someone then just simply keep it moving. You're definitely not going to bully me off from pushsquare, so you might as well get that out of your head.

Blessings
