Doesn't matter that I like the narrative or have the time nowadays, there's always gonna be those who love this type of game. I shall never bare witness to their stories but then that's kinda the point of the game designer. They do great work for those who love it.
Never play a game for the desire to be broken. Never flashed up a Souls genre game. It's not what my gaming is for. Witcher is enough on hard for me. But if you know what you're getting into then why moan.
I'll be playing F1 24 on my PC with a PSVR headset, and ACC, GT7 on PS5 and maybe Aliens, but just racing games. The VR genre PS has left behind for the most part. The reason I have built a pc last month to replace my aged model as I now no longer have to buy another headset.
It's just going to be my steam VR Headset, I only ever wanted F1 in VR, now I shall have it. And ACC. Can't be doing with horror games or moving about the room. What I don't get is why spend all that money, twice, and don't support. It's like kinect for xbox.
Most of them are still more than I'm prepared to pay. I'm replaying ps3 classics that were long forgotten on my pc/steamdeck, subs as portal too, nowadays. Costs are low, games are good and bizarrely very title in the way of microtransactions.
@Northern_munkey I just remember PS1 games being a lot more at the start and then somehow ps2 dropped to around 35. There were only a few places to buy originally like toys r us and curry's. It was still niche before the likes of Game. If you want to keep saying I paid too much carry on but I know, I bought my ps1 in toys r us and tekken , discworld, which I still have and is worth more now, and destruction Derby. It nearly spent me out but my amiga days were officially over.
@LowDefAl I know what I paid I. Toys R Us. You can believe what you like. There was no Amazon or mobile phones either. And I had to use a map for weekenders from Pompey to Yorkshire if there was a traffic jam.
It's a ps2 game, we are talking about, not PC. It plays how you remember, looks how you remember and for me that's a good thing. No reason to buy on pc.
It's a fave horror in this house. Carpenter knows how to make em. The game was great, if a bit fiddly,, so a remaster is a day one as long as it reviews above 6 I think it was.
Test drive unlimited had me and my PSP buddies meeting up and racing, this could be good. Forza never hooked me, GT occasionally too much. Dip in and out racing.
Looked like a rip off guardians of the galaxy, continued to look like a rip off and when things were at their lowest, said it was 5v5 online rubbish. Not for me, I've tried them and since CoD United Offensive, they've all been a bit pants in my eyes. Could have been anything but online. squad shooter, single player and swap between characters and maybe. I just don't have the time or inclination to be battling online, but then I know a lot do.
I've saved and saved, and today I order a PC, well lots of components. Gamers have never had it so bad and I've been here since way before playstation. I used to think blitz on zx81 could never be beaten... wasn't last night.
I can groove with this. Sometimes peripherals make the game, dualshock 3 made ps3 the worst console as xbox controller was so much easier in hand. Dualshock 4 and sense are brilliant as is psvr and the headphones. The games are good but if its a fumble to play...
Given a choice I take female over male, voice acting for starters. But it seems there's a definitive reason to swap, but as an assassin I'll play ninja. Played the best Samurai game already. And with my rose tinted glasses on it best be as good as Last ninja C64 was when I was 13.
I know it's not an Assasin game, I've played it through to platinum which is rare for me, even Sly Cooper look which is a nice nod. But it's the best open world assassin game I've played, there are lots of developers that could learn from this absolute gem. Might even buy it for my Deck for next sea voyage.
Watch Dogs is a guilty pleasure. Issues aside, still a great story. Then I went and bought Aiden for Legion just so I could here his thoughts as I played again. 😁
It would be better remade. It was very ambitious at the time and won't stand the test with the younger players. I played elite on a c64 for months but wouldn't go back now I have it on PC. Maybe not the same type of comparison but all I have.
Always online type is a bane when I go to sea for four-six months. I end up taking my ps4 pro. Steam deck has similar issues and it's portable. EA, Ubisoft and Rockstar do the same. But I completed Days Gone last time out.
Finished again late 23, still a great game at 9 years old. Best Watchdogs by a margin. Yeah it's looking older and driving is as pants as only Ubisoft know how but the ability to do most missions purely as a hacker is great. Shooting is absolute last option most of the time.
PvP just makes my death quick, as everyone is just better prepped for the games than I can be bothered. But let's hope others have a great time and it doesn't just bomb as there are already too many.
Got to a level thoroughly enjoying the clever mechanics to being completely perplexed as to how to move on. I put it down and unfortunately never went back. Whilst the atmosphere and whole game vibe was great I don't want that again.
Started mirage, and was underwhelmed. I have every AC game and still enjoy them. AC1 still one of my faves. Hopefully this will get back to what we all really want from an assassin.

@Northern_munkey @Northern_munkey however much they were 49.99 in 97 vs 60 in 2024 isn't bad inflation.
