Looks okay to me. But then I started on The Last Ninja. Gameplay over graphics used to mean something.

Even The Witcher 3 launch was iffy, I am prepared to give it time, it's my kind of not at work entertainment.

It's not a first party release. No worse than Xbox having 2 gb on disc.

I'm hoping for a witcheresque romp, but it does seem all over the place from videos. Medieval to caveman to steampunk. But we shall see.

Splitting launch windows by 2 years is a good thing. By the time PS6 is ready the Helix guys will be ready for another console. Go for it XBOX.

@Praise_Furret My PC was £1500 (not that you could build it now), and it's pretty high end. But I keep the PS5 for this reason. And only game with my dualsense edge.

I think we will be going to a more PC based system on both sides of the fence. STEAM OS is sat there waiting in the wings and will at some point be a viable direction. Happy to be wrong, but the adaptability of my PC, any wheel, any HOTAS, choice of VR, it's time to stop locking systems.

Happier times before the Internet and all the tripe you have to wade through, we bought consoles and computers based on preference. The 48k speccy and c64 era was the first time I recall a 'war'. I had c64, my mate had speccy and we used to compare the same game on our massively different devices with that of kids in awe at what both could do. Now it's changed a bit into a place I no longer feel part of. It was always about what console you preferred by controller, interface and whatnot. Now it's about hiding behind walls and charging for the pleasure. Simple days dead, and none of my kids have bothered with consoles, they both wanted a laptop. Shame we got to here.

The twist in Unity and Rogue that ended PS3 and started PS4 Creeds was I thought genius at the time of playing, always liked Unity. But you need to play them both for the Oh gawd! moment.

But is it any good now? A redemption arc was promised.

Insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results.

Does this fit this desire to make a live service shooter?

Its either my 12gb 4070 ryzen 7 7800x3d 32gb ddr5 rig and I only play at 1080 or PS5 original. I'll decide at reviews. It will run fine on PS5 I reckon.

It's very alive and extremely well used on my PS5, and then when I fancy I plug into my PC and play whatever Steam games I wish to play. I built my PC, which I'd wanted forever, to allow VR Sim racing and PS5 was never going to give it. (GT7 is no Sim) Even F1 games are now VR, ACC, Automobilista2, AC Rally soon enough, Elite Dangerous(space sim).

There may be a better VR headset out there, but is there one that's multi platform? And those who don't have one have no reference point but spout the usual dirge as always.

My original PSVR still works and games are still played via that too, albeit on a lesser scale.

Anyone else use it as a multi platform unit?

I may even splash out on the new steam unit, to be decided.

Makes keeping plus worthwhile. I only have ratchet and clank and spiderman 2 because of it. Exclusivity ended when they decided £80 games were fine.

Go on, make it multi platform, you know it makes sense.

Prefer odyssey over origins. Valhalla has me hooked again on steam deck. No more mirage types please. Still so much history to cover and abuse in their very clever ways. Sticking with melee as main combat, I'd like the original story retold with all their new knowledge and tools.

I got used to a playstation controller in 96, it kinda stuck with me. That's why I play on playstation, it could have been xbox.. Strange reason I know. So gamers shouldn't be limited by their controller and console choice.

I've always for for the stellar travel, action and commerce of elite dangerous with the fun world hopping of no man's sky. This wasn't it.

Different games really. But the first 4 are.my favourite, I include ascension. And the 2 psp versions are good. But the reboot is good too.

I see Witcher 3 as an adventure game. RPG was always the baldurs gate and fallout 1/2, almost a D6 required game. But we class games so weirdly now. Dragon age, RPG, Mass Effect, adventure. I think I see what they're saying.

Finally, a sensible point of view. My job, and many others, have taken me all over the world in a non glamorous fashion. PS5 disc games are the only way as you can't prove yourself on the net via sign in. Steam deck was forever turning my games off and signing in via vpn was a pain. Especially when your out.of range for 7 weeks. It's relative I know, but all my playstations have been all over and since 3 it's been difficult with digital, even the owned games.

It's bad, and unfortunate. I don't play them, never have. But never like closures of teams. It's brutal but to be honest, it's just another shooter, doing similar things. Looks don't win people (it helps) over, playability does.

Sign of the times. Nobody wants to grind a little bit. I want the chainsaw now! For silent hill 2 remake will be next.

Spiderman 2, I shall believe that when it happens.

New fem shep run through Mass effect trilogy on my steamdeck. Or Valhalla on PC mixed with some ACC, and maybe dust the PS5.

Love most things Ubisoft. There's always more to everything that push square reports on. You don't know, I don't know. I just hope the right outcome is reached for all.
Shadows is proving a tad irksome, I prefer tsushima and Sucker Punch made a better game than Ubisoft.

Ridge Racer Revolution maybe. Why is premium so bad. I accidentally paid for it so kept it and the PS1 emulation is worse than any other I use, and unless you want to stream on a portal anywhere or watch movies that you can get anywhere else on other subscriptions, someone is going to remind me I can get 5% off but the price of the sub covers that. I do miss being able to play PS3 games, but not that much, because I have a PS3 upstairs and never use it...

Premium is pants, I pay my way have 3 kids and a grandkid.

I like how Rogue and Unity are connected, bit of a clever move there. AC did in a week from blockies, loved it. Ezio trilogy will always be a great moment in time but has been beaten. Origins, Odyssey then Valhalla in that order for the RPG, Valhalla being best. I loved Syndicate more than most but Edward Kenway will always have the best game. Yeah, i missed 3 out. Still to really get claws into Mirage and Shadows just feels a damp squib after GoT.

Damn, I knew it would be poop. I was hopeful of a Dino Crisis-esque romp. Even Regina had silly costumes way back when, but the gameplay was always, sorry still is, fun. Well still no new game for me, living off PS Extra again. 😂

Relatively modest specs. 😂 might put it on my Deck then.

60FPS easy, but not really what I was expecting. Don't remember Parasite Eve like this at all.
