I buy less playstation games now but this gen has hardly started to move. Games were still being co-developed with ps4 until, well they still are I think. PS5 has not had any time with pandemic, all the delays that came with that to actually stretch its legs. Nope, won't be bothering like my normal Day1 purchase.

Wife had horizon on switch and wasn't overly enamoured. But I'll give it a go.

I'd say we have more of a remake/remaster issue personally. Mind you RE4 was a cracker and the Thing brought back some of the PS2 greatness. The only sequel I have finished is Horrizon. With 7 basic plots nearly every game we've seen this gen is overcoming the monster, and that is the staple of nearly all games and tbh I kinda like that.

A lot of you guys weren't born or old enough to know what is was when I bought a PlayStation after Nintendo threw sony to the dogs. I've had at least one of each generation. But I've gone and bought a PC as PS5 didn't have a racing sim I liked, and Elite Dangerous left consoles behind. I then got a steam deck to take away and I play ALL the games I did on PS5 or PS4, mainly single-player. I would rather have a machine now I think as my PC is too gaudy for the living room and I'm not desperate for Ray tracing and 4K. There will be more like me who are the perfect audience for Steam Machine, have been drawn into the fantastic Steam ecosystem. Playstation may get a slot on the shelf but this gen has pushed me away when most of those I would buy play well enough for me on deck. Haven't bought a new game for PS5 since cyberpunk. Plus extra is enough.

Downloaded, looks nice, played okay, had a really annoying kid in it, deleted after about 30 mins. No ACS or GOT/Y.

Play style just wasn't for me at all, and wanted to change nearly all controls instantly.

Glad it only took 40 mins to install.

Trying to get in a groove with Assetto Corsa Rally. As far as early access goes it plays really well.

@cainhurst94 and yet I play my epic and gog games easily on my Deck, the skills of people out there make this a very enticing choice.

@Mythologue it should be the same as the deck and EMUDECK saves a great deal of hassle trying to set up emulators. I hadn't even thought of that, another good reason.

I have a deck, I used it docked whilst away at sea because the PS5 generated too much heat in my cabin, mad as that sounds, and I would quite happily put a steam machine with its open eco system in my living room. It will increase the longevity of PSVR2 hopefully in that space as I only use it with pc now. Steam is a very good way to play and without Windows getting in the way I just hope it's not bonkersly priced.

I get the games are amazing. But this will be another half arsed re-release. Rockstar just take our oh so willing money. I'm annoyed at myself...

Happy to have ability to play all versions. But I understand the annoyance.

GTA V is a slap in the face, everyone on the planet.has it by now. Pacific drive will be good to check out, want it for deck.

Moved onto PC. GT has never been better since 4. I've bought them all but they've never hit thr right notes of ACC and the like.

Think I've played it enough by now. Even bought it on pc, but that was less than a fiver for the complete version. Don't want to create for an old game to be honest.

Play the trilogy once a year. Even bought a 360 to play first game. 🤣 Andromeda, which was a bomb is still too expensive to give another go. Shame EA do what they do.

It's always in the top ten. I bought it for 6 quid or whatever it was if you had ps4, then never played it. 😂

Played to see if I liked it, I did. Will now wait for it at a reasonable price on steam so I can play on PSVR2...

A HUGE missing piece compared to PC version is VR, when PSVR2 is a very capable device. So PC version is cheaper and has more, and will play in VR thanks to my PSVR2.

I don't play online much. I pay for games so obviously I'd like a drop. But there's a coat for everything and Microsoft is having to do a lot to claw back from its self induced mare.

They don't do VR racing which is pump. Stray is awesome.

I have been debating this amazing game for long enough. I've doubled down on Horizon Zero Dawn, Days Gone, and God of War on my steam deck after loving the PS4/5 versions. Spiderman has just popped up cheap on LOADED.

I have yet to be let down by a PSN Steam Deck verified game.

Probably played for.maybe 30 mins on xbox 360. Completely forgettable like most fps. Don't own any, but the kids can't get enough of em.

@REALAIS Not even close to what I was saying. Sales wise is great, been a PS guy since 96 and seeing it beat PS3 is good. My 60gb ps3 is still going. I'm just a little unsure that PS5 has ever met expectations. My day 1 box is still hammered by all of us but mainly PS5 games that are also on PS4. It's only just being released on its own in the wild without games going PS4 too holding it back. I'm not being negative, just my observations. Being released in a global pandemic hasn't helped.

@nomither6 did you like R2 and L2? Worst triggers. Maybe it was my big hands, fingers slipped off them.

Ps5 to me is just a ps4 in different clothes. It's not done enough on its own yet, ps4 owners still not wanting to make the jump. Something to be said for stopping backwards compatability. Not that I want that removed... heavens that would be awful.

Dual shock 3 still gives me nightmares... 😂

I use my steamdeck. It's probably not quite as good but works. Not buying a portal even though I'd be very happy to get for Christmas.

As an Elite Dangerous Commander I was very intrigued when I first heard this, less so when it was reviewed but my fondness of fallout mixed with space won't go away. It isn't cheap enough on PC yet to make it worth a punt.

@Maverick85 60 fps for me.is fine. My pc only has a 1080 monitor on purpose but can run into 150 plus fps. I really can't tell. But I believe the playstation 5 can still have better games if they'd left ps4 years ago, I'm no programmer but I remember what happened when ps3 was left behind. I work on big marine engineering and leave micro stuff to the gurus. And enjoy what I can.

Did PS5 ever get going? Making games for PS4 far too long hurt this gen.
I've moved to PC and I always said the best game there was Word.

This gen hasn't even got going. They still release for ps4/5. Whilst I like my ps5, day 1 job, this gen still feels like it hasn't started.

Can we at least have a PS5 only few years without PS4 interaction to see what this console I've had for nearly 5 years is capable of.

As soon as EA got their over controlling claws into them the games have been in decline. ME3 started it and it's never recovered.

I've got a day 1 ps5 with a 1tb ssd and a 4tb external for ps4. More than I know what to do with and m.2 ssd are on the cheap end now anyway, unless you want the brand badge.

Changed my perception on what games were about to become. I remember my mum dissing destruction Derby as you could see the road joins. The first GT, and having to brake! Pandemonium's scale when zooming out. But my faves remain tekken 3, soul blade and Discworld 2. And a fond remembrance of RR T4.
