As a big steam user, and ps, this has potential to be great. Each to own of course and I see some dislike the Linux based system. Imagine a dual boot, well I can 😁, I use my dual sense edge for steam games and PS5 and if steam machine can run on PS5 it helps with current rampocalypse.
I know it won't happen and my IT skills aren't good enough but for those who can I think it's good.
Not a Sony developer, doesn't have to make disc playable. Ooh I'm so angry.
Why is this a thing anyway? You have to install the whole disc no matter what, it's just there as a confirmation test when you start the game. If you are constantly changing your install base on your PS5 you are either so indecisive that maybe you should have less games or you've changed the HDD to 100GB which is hard to achieve.
I'm sure these posts are propaganda to keep Push Square clicks up, damn here I am helping them..................
Took Greedfall away as a 'if there's nothing else' game whilst deployed. It turned out to be the better of those that adorned my steam deck and will play 2 but might have to buy it soon. PS5 was a bit bulky to take in a bag.
I have not thought male leads have been up to much for a while. Fem shep better then OG. Female in AC ODYSSEY over male, same with Valhalla. Same with Cyberpunk, and whilst I think about it Fallout 4, can't recall 3. Its either I prefer to hear the female voices over blokes or bloke voice acting is pants. They say the same dialogue after all. It's never what's on screen. I'd have all male protagonists picked from Sly in the 80's/90's. Marion Cobretti as a male shep. John Spartan as V. The voice means a lot more at times.
The source material is sound. The books have a lot of lore to fall back on and the TV series was pretty decent. All good as long as game plays and they've got enough inspiration.
I shall try Horizon again happily. It's a good open world. Motorfest might be fun. There's no Motorstorm itch left after EA took all the decent recer studios. Evolution, Codies and Criterion and ruined them all. So we shall see. Rest might get looked at briefly.
@Ultrasmiles I bought it at launch, I bought it on PC for steam deck, and I will play again on PS5. Some games are worth playing, some deserve replaying.
Can't argue with their relentless updates to appease the masses. Maybe some here with their quick witted comments may actually buy it but doubtful as there will be another reason not to being made up tomorrow
It's not the first game to receive quality of life improvements. All I see is a dedicated company improving through feedback. All future dlc I've heard will be free. Well done pearl abyss
@bring_on_branstons maybe so but the linear getting there story is well past sell by for me. And that Chloe game should have remained the DLC it felt like.
Was happy with 4 as a finish. It was done for it's linear story telling for me. Amazing at the start and then slowly came to a conclusion. Drake would need a lot more something to make me go again, I have them all and haven't even thought of revisting.
I think they're doing great. At least they can implement improvements. Kids have got it easy now. Level three on RoboCop c64 was night on impossible. How far we've come, but still moan like we could do better.
@Northern_munkey psvr2 ACC and F1 25 are the reason I left console VR, they never got the option. That and I was lucky enough with a work bonus to build my own rig. Moza R5 wheel which is just to get going for now.
@Northern_munkey I've kept a watching brief on that. No longer race on PS5 anyway. And LeMans Ultimate and ACC are my main games on the dark side of PC gaming. I wouldn't recommend it for casual GT7 lovers, it's a whole new world of pain. 😂
@Northern_munkey @Northern_munkey We all knew the writing was on the wall. Slightly mad was suckered in as well, they got away from EA, bought by Codies and, well we all know what happened then.
Wirh all the drivel that gets released nowadays some of the old servers going back on would be amazing. I'd play Motorstorm og if that got a ps5 release, as it was with a server, would be brilliant.
I just can't play these turbo hard games. And Tomb raider has already been a freebie by prime and it lasted about half hour on my deck before I cast it in the pit or rose tinted tat. 😂
Remember when the Witcher 3 came out unfinished and everybody gave that hell too? No because we were still new to the post release upgrades. But now we call something Beta. I think it's a helluvan achievement what's been done. And if it's refined along the way from player feedback, all the better. If you want a game in beta play Assetto Corsa Rally, mind you that's awesome too.
I built a PC last year with an AM5 processor and 32gb of DDR5. By the looks of it my choice to start moving from PS to PC will be the price of a graphics card. I only had enough for a 4070 12gb. But that's good enough for Crimson Desert. I have this far failed completely to move to PC but 1000 quid consoles is a scary day. Not everyone gets a bonus allowing what I did, gaming has always been a past time, I think retro is the way ahead and relearn how awesome the PS3 was, but dual shock 3 remains pants.
@Praise_Furret My PC was £1500 (not that you could build it now), and it's pretty high end. But I keep the PS5 for this reason. And only game with my dualsense edge.
I think we will be going to a more PC based system on both sides of the fence. STEAM OS is sat there waiting in the wings and will at some point be a viable direction. Happy to be wrong, but the adaptability of my PC, any wheel, any HOTAS, choice of VR, it's time to stop locking systems.
Happier times before the Internet and all the tripe you have to wade through, we bought consoles and computers based on preference. The 48k speccy and c64 era was the first time I recall a 'war'. I had c64, my mate had speccy and we used to compare the same game on our massively different devices with that of kids in awe at what both could do. Now it's changed a bit into a place I no longer feel part of. It was always about what console you preferred by controller, interface and whatnot. Now it's about hiding behind walls and charging for the pleasure. Simple days dead, and none of my kids have bothered with consoles, they both wanted a laptop. Shame we got to here.
The twist in Unity and Rogue that ended PS3 and started PS4 Creeds was I thought genius at the time of playing, always liked Unity. But you need to play them both for the Oh gawd! moment.

Re: September Is Suddenly an Insane Month for New PS5 Games
I think wolverine may look great but play a bit too safe. Happy to be wrong but Spidey 2 is one game I'm glad I got via ps plus.

Point and click happiness. Played 1 and 2 with ps mouse back on psone. Great times. Just need Discworld return now. 😂
