Re: Sony Returns to PlayStation Exclusivity and Stops Single Player PC Ports, New Report Says

Simu001

@KillerIsD34D I tried but returnal leaned too much into the roguelite aspect for me to truly enjoy it. I managed to beat the firrst 2 biomes iirc. Then it just became a near unmanageable bullet hell. So I missed most of my shots which dragged fights out. When it comes to shooters on console.I need aim assist and strong one at that to be acceptable. Thats why I prefer mouse and keyboadd for shooters that demand precision. Even then I'm just passable. It has been so long since I last tried it and I haven't felt the urge to try again. I'll keep in on my pile of shame.

Welp no need to wait on an improved pc port for ghost of yotei then. Looks like.my bas eps5 will gazher dust considering that they seem.to focus on the pro so much. Just saw a comparison between resident evil requiem.on ps5 vs pro and it made realise just how bad that impulse buy was. So now both my series x and ps5 are gathering dust. It is absolutely sonys right but it just sucks that they tease us with ports and then take it away. Looks like I'll miss out on saros too as shooters rarely feel good on controller imo.

Re: Bungie Confirms First Two Marathon Seasons, Both Adding Free Content

Simu001

@Marquez I'll definitely keep an eye out. The 2 maps during the slam were already filled with content and from what I hear there'll be even more stuff to see and do. So I dont think wellbe starved for content. Cryolabs will definitely be much more difficult from the sound of it. As long as I can enter it solo I'll most likely get it day one. If not I'll wait for the first season or second season. Anyways I'm looking forward to it. The get in, grab loot, and get out loop is surprisingly fun and rounds can lasts from a few minutes to 30 minutes max makes it less tedious once you inevitably bite the dust

Re: Bungie Confirms First Two Marathon Seasons, Both Adding Free Content

@thechetearly same i managed to squeeze in a surprising 15 hours in the server slam. My expectation was that I'd be playing it for maybe an hour tops. However before I do oull the trigger on buying it, I need more info on the endgame raid map (cryolabs). If that can be done solo then It will be a buy. I played the server slam solo and really liked it.

Re: Highguard Permanently Shuts Down on 12th March

Simu001

Marathon will do just fine, because it's fun and it feels great to play. Highguard didn't interest me in the slightest despite being f2p. The reason being that it just looked bland. Marathon on the other hand has a very distinctive style (which seems to be a marmite thing buut that's another topic). Plus I really liked the server slam, I managed 15 hours due to work and other stuff. But before the slam I would've never guessed that i would even manage 15 hours

Re: Hands On: Marathon Is Dense, Demanding, and Drop Dead Gorgeous

Simu001

@Gribbon stopped pre ordering but I'll probably get it day one. Despite doing mostly solo runs and dying quite alot I'm habing more fun than I anticipated. Can't wait for the whole concord 2/ its dead narrative to die and for the usual suspects to move on to the next thing they can hate.

Re: Sony Will Offset Soaring RAM Prices by Further Monetising PS5 Players

Simu001

I havent renewed ps plus amd the xbox equivalent for years now. So them raising the price wont affect me on that front. On the games side of things I rarely pay day one prices as those are already getting way to expensive with many games costing 80-90 in their base versions. So if I really wamt a game day one its either through a reseller or through sales. Only exceptions are indie studios. For example reanimal was a day 1 buy. Though that was also only 40. Thanks to the AI "bubble" it's only gonna get worse. Can it even be called a bubble or ha sit evilved into a black hole. It certainly feels like the latter

Re: Unsurprisingly, Marathon Will Be Part of the Latest State of Play

Simu001

Interesting to see many disliking the artstyle, when its the only thing that has me interested to watch a couple of matches when it releases. I didn't get to play the beta tests so I missed out. If it were pve only then it would be higher on my wishlist. But extraction pvpve is something I cannot find any enjoyment in no matter how hard I try. The extraction part is the final nail for me.

Re: Take an Extended, Non-Canon Look at the Next Jaw-Dropping Black Myth Game

Simu001

@J2theEzzo nah never found it as I gave up before that. I found the guy on the brifge before yellow sage also pretty much impossible and stopped trying. I'm not gonna go back to try. I nearly quit during the tiger boss. After beating him I was just glad it was over. The fact that weapon upgradss come this late is wow. Just nah. I managed to beat elden ring prepatch but wukong sekiro and lies of P are all above me. It's ok though If I do wanna play a souls game I'll just return to Bloodborne which to this day is still my absolute favorite souls like.

Edit: actually not sure if I found it. Do you get that from the secret dragon boss with the electric clubs? If yes then nope never beaten that guy either as he has what feels like 5 instakill moves. Which come.so fast you can barely dodge them. Its been a while since I played it

Re: The Internet Has Not Been Kind to Horizon Hunters Gathering

Simu001

I mean take a series that has realistic graphics and focuses on single player exploration and worldbuilding and make it a cartoony mobile game looking multiplayer thing. Yeah.... I love stylized games. But this isnt okami or something like that. This artstyle just screams corporate rush job. If you go cartoon go all the way. Get creative with it. Animation can do sooooooo much more ......

Re: Take an Extended, Non-Canon Look at the Next Jaw-Dropping Black Myth Game

Simu001

Wukong was such a regret for me. You are so weak in comapriosn to the bosses which are soooo fast and kill you practically instantly. Sekiro demanded pure precision and wukoong tries to do the same but fails due to how the controls feel. Only standout is the art direction and thats it. I really should have done my research for the game instead of getting swept up by the hype. Wont be getting the second game.

Re: Nioh 3's Bosses Took a Lot of Inspiration from Lies of P, Says Director

Simu001

I tried the demo but didn't finish it. I think I'm getting to old for modern souls likes. I've lost the willingness to run against the same boss for 100 of tries. Also normal enemies that can 2 shot you and stuff like that. For me bloodborne is till the peak of this genre but then again tastes differe and Lies of P aswell as Nioh bring unique stuff to the table. Currently waiting to see how the new lords of the fallen will end up.
