Save MGS4 for volume 2. Do a proper remake of Metal Gear Rising please.

This generation is just absolutely crazy and so anti-consumer. Ridiculous.

This looks absolutely fantastic.

When I saw the art style I instantly thought of Horizon. When I saw the gameplay it's clearly nothing like Horizon. Sony's lawsuit seems very superficial.

I love Enslaved. Horizon kind of reminded me of that world but not enough to make me think it was copying. Post apocalyptic worlds reclaimed by nature and populated by machines aren't something unique to either game.

I don't think that this lawsuit will get far.

I think refund policies for digital games should be the same across all platforms. At the moment certain policies are completely unfair to consumers.

This seems very unnecessary. I would however love a remade Dead Souls.

@LazyDaisy I completely agree. The article definitely used the performance of Switch 2 as the main focus to try and cheerlead for PS5.

@Dr-zoidburg The Wii version of Resident Evil 4 is the pinnacle of that game in my opinion. So many Wii games missed the mark when it came to pointer controls but this was perfect.

I really wish they had made an HD remake for the Wii U so that we could use the Wiimote.

I'm really looking forward to this collection. I will probably get it for my Xbox as I have the rest of the MK series there.

I would happily buy DLC in the future that includes MK Gold and the rest of the 3D era games.

I'll be getting this for my PS5 but it's fantastic to see something of this quality available to Nintendo only gamers.

For realistic games and anyone who plays VR regularly, Red Matter 2 and Arkham Shadow are two of the greatest looking games ever made.

For anyone else, nothing comes close to Hellblade 2.

I loved the base game and actually forgot that I'd bought the deluxe version so already have the DLC.

I no longer subscribe to PS+ but it's great to see a game like this given an opportunity thanks to the service.

I use my Game Pass subscription as a "try before you buy" service and there are so many games that I've bought because I had the opportunity to play them first.

Good luck to the devs and I hope people playing also buy it.

I love my PS3. The 360/PS3/Wii era was one of my favourite times as a gamer.

I would prefer to play this on my Xbox rather than my PS5 purely because of the controller layout.

Can anyone who owns this tell me if there's any single player aspect worth playing it for? I'm not much of an online multiplayer gamer.

This is such a strange generation.

Whilst I'm not suggesting that Sony sell the PS5 at a loss, I'd be very interested to see the profit margin on each piece of hardware they produce. All of the hardware and accessories released this generation seem overly expensive to me.

@SeaDaVie The Switch has sold 1.5 billion in physical sales. That's more than PS4 & PS5 combined.

@PuppetMaster Also, I said all first party games vs all first party games. I clearly wasn't talking about individual titles. All of those "low selling" games you mentioned made a profit. Concord probably wiped out profit for Sony on most of the PlayStation games you mentioned.

If you add up the total sales numbers for both Sony and Nintendo first party titles, Nintendo easily wins.

However, if you talk about profit, Nintendo still easily wins.

@UltimateOtaku91 Total software sales. Okay. Switch still wins. By an absolute mile. The attach rate is unprecedented.

And so many Japanese multiplatform games are made with Switch in mind first and then ported to more powerful systems.

@PuppetMaster And Mario Kart 8 probably sold more than all of those Sony exclusives combined. Anything else is then the icing on the cake for Nintendo.

And I'm also fairly sure that the profit margin for Nintendo is way higher due to the lower tech involved in making a Switch game vs PlayStation.

@SeaDaVie Which PS games are you talking about? Because I'm fairly sure that all Nintendo first party games have outsold all PlayStation first party games.

@Medic_alert I completely agree. I believe that all live service games should be available on as many platforms as technologically possible.

I'll play it on Game Pass to see if I click with it and then buy it later.

In fact, I don't even think the game would exist without Microsoft stepping in to partially fund and produce etc.

I still struggle to get my head around Sony's purchase of Bungie.

Had they really demonstrated enough for them to be valued at $3.6 billion? No.

Even if that was the "market value", who at Sony looked the price and thought it would be money well spent?

This isn't even a case of hindsight being a wonderful thing because I don't remember anyone on this site, or elsewhere, thinking this was a good move.

If I was a major Sony shareholder I would be demanding that any future live service games are ported to as many platforms as technologically possible and that anyone still left at the company who approved this purchase is made to leave.

Get Dotemu to make a brand new 2D Castlevania, get M2 to hurry up and give us MGS4 in the next master collection and make a brand new, current gen 3D Contra.

I avoided the original for ages because I was burned out on Metroidvanias. I gave it a go on Game Pass and fell in love and then bought it.

I'll do the same with Silksong and hopefully it draws me in like the first one did.

I remember in 1993, when Mortal Kombat came out on the SNES, there was an April Fools joke in an official Nintendo magazine in the UK that said that if you taped a penny to the top of the cartridge and did a random button combination, you could unlock a blood mode. 😂
