@ATaco I have a fantastic collection of physical retro games but am more and more tempted myself to start emulating too.

Regardless of anyone's loyalty to any particular system or game series, what's happening is horrible and only makes the gaming landscape worse for all of us.

I think I may retire from modern gaming to focus on my retro collection a generation earlier than I'd hoped. ☹️

The price of the Pro is surely set to increase now.

Call me negative but this really isn't one of the best games of the generation in my opinion. Not even close.

It's amazing how often this site now talks about Switch game prices compared to PS5 but refuses to talk about the cost of PS5 games compared to Game Pass.

Game Pass releases in the last couple of months have easily justified the entire year subscription cost.

The pending games you mentioned don't have release dates.

I'm a multiplatform gamer so I'll be getting this for my Series X. I have all of the other Elder Scrolls games there (apart from the VR version of Skyrim) so it makes sense to keep this on Xbox.

What's genuinely worrying me as a PlayStation fan is that the entire PS5 release schedule this year is either Xbox games or other 3rd party titles.

Seriously Sony. What the hell is happening???

I remember reading something once that said licenses get an automatic extension if there is a new release on a different platform.

That could be absolute nonsense of course.

This and the new Terminator 2D game are going to be huge highlights of the year for me.

Nintendo hasn't always tried to innovate at all.

Sony really need to get better at being a third party publisher.

They have bought a lot of developers since the PS2 days and they should be able to release more than a game a year.

Amazon did such an amazing job with Fallout and it absolutely nailed the theme and humour of the games. I'm hoping that they have the same quality control over this project moving forward.

Fair enough about VR. If it's not for you it's not for you. I fell in love with VR with my original PSVR2. It genuinely blew my tiny mind and it was the most impressive thing I've seen in nearly 40 years of gaming. So many great first and third party games. I think I've bought around 100 PSVR1 games and was so excited for VR2. Unfortunately Sony have virtually (pun intended) abandoned VR2 to the point it's laughable. I spent £530 on it and aside from higher definition Quest ports, the game library is paper thin.

Yes I'm aware those games are coming. But you and I have no clue when.

There are no dates for any first party exclusive for the rest of 2025. It's actually possible that Sony won't release a game for their own system in 2025. It's highly unlikely, but not impossible.

I don't understand why you think that's okay. Don't you want more games from Sony?

@Rich33 Genuinely, what impressed you in those first 3 years? I originally had GOW Ragnarok on my PS4 and it ran like a dream. SM2 is a great game but not an exclusive. Compared to my favourite PlayStation generation (PS3) this has been hugely underwhelming for me.

Sony seem to be doing the bare minimum to support PS5 and their PSVR2 output is shocking. I would take a few VR1 remakes from them but they can't even be bothered to do that.

Whilst double packs like this don't take away from development time, they do highlight Sony's current attitude towards their fans.

When is the next first party exclusive release planned?

@MrPeanutbutterz My issue isn't entirely that this bundle exists (although it really shouldn't given how both games were re-released this gen). It's more about the fact that Sony is spending time doing this and NOT releasing any new games. September 2024 was the last first party exclusive.

I'm not. Particularly with PSVR2.

Can we all agree that nobody wanted this and Sony should do much more to bring us first party exclusives?
