In case you forgot, PlayStation Productions is partnering with Aniplex and Hayate to create an anime series based on Ghost of Tsushima. Well, it's going to be a longer wait than originally planned.

Crunchyroll — which will exclusively stream the anime on release — has announced it has been delayed into 2028, having previously been pencilled in for 2027.

As well as the delay announcement, a few more names are now associated with the project.

Mayumi Saco and Shinya Fukumatsu will be part of the cast, though their roles have not yet been revealed.

Saco played Tomoe in the original game, so there's a possibility of a reprisal there. Fukumatsu, meanwhile, has lent his vocal talents to many anime, with appearances in One Punch Man, My Hero Academia, Paprika, and many others.

Elsewhere, Keiji Inai has been brought in to compose the score, with Yoshikazu Iwanami on sound direction, Yasumasa Koyama on sound effects, and Gyousyou Suzuki drawing the title calligraphy.

The anime shares its name, Ghost of Tsushima Legends, with the game's multiplayer offshoot, framing the samurai action in a more supernatural interpretation.

Little else is known about the anime so far, with only a few teaser posters having been released.

It's going to be a while before we see it come to fruition, unfortunately, but here's hoping it'll be worth the wait.
