Explosive open world adventure Red Faction Guerrilla is getting re-Mars-tered for the PlayStation 4 – and yes, that is the pun that publisher THQ Nordic is running with. Set to release in Q2 2018, the PlayStation 3 port will boast fully reworked graphics, improved lighting, and 4K support for the PS4 Pro.
For those who didn’t play this first time around, it’s got a pretty impressive destruction engine, and subsequently the gameplay revolves around you blowing stuff up – or smashing it with a big fat hammer. There are even puzzle-like missions where you have a set number of explosives to bring down a particular structure – it’s really good fun.
More information will be announced in the lead up to launch apparently, so keep your eyes peeled for that. In the meantime, feel free to groan at the release’s name in the comments section below.

I miss this type of game, mindless destruction. Played the original and I generally never replay games or double dip, but I may have to with this one.
The destruction in this game is hilarious, so I'm definitely going to pick this up for another round.

On one hand this is exciting, but on the other hand, I played the heck out of this back in the day, and I don't know if it's worth revisiting. And there are a lot of new games coming out this year that take priority. I guess it'll depend on how much new stuff they add if any.

Good to know the recent digital re-releases of the first two sold well enough to make the remaster cost a viable one. Perhaps others who've yet to make some of their PS2 back-catalogue available on PS4 should take note.
I'm actually really excited for this, free upgrade for Steam owners as well!
Please no mp please no mp because it was boring dull and your stats were saved to your console so if you lost your save you lost your online stats. Just give the main game and it's DLC and fix any bugs that didn't get fixed and I'll play it again

I never played this one,mainly because I loved the first two so much I was disappointed the third was third person.

Love this game, story is so so but game play was excellent fun. Hope they bring back the online multiplayer as well.
