I will pay a small monthly fee to this site for people to stop asking for Knack.
If you want the game so damned much you should have bought it when it was £5 in the recent sale. Or when it's £3 in the next sale. It's ALWAYS on sale!
I never took it as written that this game was definitely coming for PS4, but perhaps the smartest thing to do would announce Tomb Raider 3 (no, not that one) as a multi format release, and give a port of Rise of Tomb Raider as a pre-order bonus? It would be something of a peace offering to anyone upset about the timed exclusivity.
To be fair, ICO had bloody terrible box art in the west too. I think later editions had the infinitely better Japanese box art instead. Would paste it in here but can't remember for the life of me how to do it. Maybe someone could oblige?
It's not going to happen. Despite being happy enough for Kratos to jump up and down on a bed with naked ladies (that's what I assume was happening) Sony will always distance themselves from real life snuggle videos.
From what I understand, we're not missing much. I hear the end result just looks... odd.
I wasn't disappointed as such - and overall I think Sony had the best show. But with leaks being so prevalent it's difficult to blow anyone away if something is expected. And there's no getting around the fact that everything this year was The Last of Us. (Well, not Crash. But I've never been a Crash fan). Sony's tactic at the shows has been famed games games for a few years now, and they played it safe and held on to that. They'll need to shake things up in the future to keep interest up though. I was hoping for a confirmation on VR options for No Man's Sky or a racing title of some sort, but maybe that's being held back for Neo?
Biggest disappointment was thinking for a second they were going to show Driveclub VR and instead it was the end of the Final Fantasy trailer, where you apparently use the power of VR to leer at girls in cars.
Honestly, I think Zelda trumped them all, with Sea of Thieves in second place. Having said that, all things considered, I think Sony had the strongest overall showing.
I just hope there's a decent trade in programme. Stil, the end of 2017 seems a long way off from now. I feel like we could wait another year before stumping up for a 4K TV.
By the way guys, do you really think that at the biggest gaming show of the year, Square would put someone on the game who didn't know how the game worked inside out? Barring any massive technical cock up (which I doubt as he managed to make it through the demo) I'd say it was just the terrible nature of the demo, not the player.
This was the worst video I saw from either company. Hated it. It looks like an absolute mess. I wonder if Microsoft put it in their show just to make Scalebound look amazing in comparison 😅
Yeah I'm not so sure. It seems like conjecture and spurious reasoning. I mean, if there were a game that were pulled, they still could have had Days Gone's two reveals back to back near the start and closed with Kojima or something else. It seemed to me they were just really proud of the crowd/swarm physics and wanted to close the show on a "wow" note. It seemed thoroughly planned out.
Nether EA or Bethesda really do much for me anyway. For me I always feel E3 lives or dies by the big three. Maybe even two, now that Nintendo's relevence in today's market is under question.
I don't see how a backlash can be sparked over a single image that is shown outside of its context. People are just looking for reasons to get outraged by things these days.
Oh Sammy. You shush. You're plenty funny. And yes. It's a terrible trailer.
In the meantime, I am escaping into drink. Not because of this though. Because my Uncharted 4 day one patch is going to take another hour to install. 😓
I have a feeling the Vita will live on for a while even after Sony has ceased shipping new units. To be honest I'm surprised it still ships any. The stream of indie support is great but it's unlikely to get new users to pick one up specifically for that. Without hallmark, retail games there's not much point in getting a console when a tablet or phone offers much the same range of titles.
But hey, like Sammy said I got more than my moneys worth from it. I got a Vita with a 64 GB card for £100 on eBay. I can have the first ten Final Fantasy games on the go! And enough classic indie titles to keep me going for years (many of which were included with my plus subscription, others heavily discounted) as well as some excellent console quality games. It'll last me for years yet.
@ShogunRok I don't know... It could be a Womble's final evolution! Uncle Bulgaria is about 32 pieces of litter away from reaching the required XP. Luckily he still doesn't have the dimeritium plates needed.
Actually, on second viewing I'm not sure this is a vampire after all! In Witcher lore vampire's are humanoid bat-faced like things that don't usually have wings. This looks like something new. Or maybe a variant of vampire we haven't seen before...
It's all just rumour and speculation at this point. However, since Platinum got involved with the genre, the God of War ship won't sail anymore. Even when Ascension came out a few years back it came across as really dated.
Well I finally got round to finishing Arkham Knight properly last weekend (damned riddler trophies!) so I'm a bit at a loss now. Maybe one of you fine gentlemen can recommend something?
Basically anything I play will be put right down in May when Uncharted 4 arrives, so nothing too long, maybe not an open world epic... Maybe Everybody's Gone to the Rapture... Although that might be too short to fully bridge the gap...
The EU blog is its usual troll laden hell hole self this month. I wonder if Sony read it and just think "well we can never please them, so we'll just release any old guff. PSP version of Invizimals? Yeah that'll do."
Pinch is salt taken. But even if I were to give some credence to this, honestly, has there ever been an upgraded games console that's been an essential purchase? Gameboy Advance SP maybe. More often they're more appealing starting point for brand new buyers, but existing owners are better sticking with what they already have. Just look at the New 3DS for example. The reasons to upgrade to that from a regular 3DS are extremely few. It just doesn't work.
I actually think this is a marked improvement. It's a 3D game that came in a box - that's what everyone wanted, right?
I've been interested in I AmAlive for a long time and have been hoping it will turn up on Plus at some point. It's kind of Last of Us-like before that was even a thing. Or at least partly that, partly climbing simulator.
Everything else is a bit leave or take, but it's not bad. Its good that Ubisoft are still willing to give up the goods for Plus. We might get some of their big open world games on Plus after all.

Re: Talking Point: What July PlayStation Plus Free Games Do You Want?
@NESguy94 Wolfenstein would be a great shout. I think you might have missed Broken Age though. If I'm not mistaken that was a previous IGC title.
Re: Talking Point: What July PlayStation Plus Free Games Do You Want?
@Mergatro1d Haha, we could turn this into a charity drive for people who want to play, but aren't willing to pay for, below average platform games.

Re: Mighty No. 9 Has Some Mighty PS4 Performance Issues
Yeah I take it all back. This has been a bit of a disaster. I sense the Kickstarter bubble is set to burst.
Re: Round Up: Mighty No. 9's PS4 Reviews Are Not So Mighty
I don't know. From the reviews I've read it's come across as fair to middling.

Re: Feature: 10 PS4 Games That Won E3 2016
The buzz is with Zelda. But it's like I keep saying - it will undoubtedly be that last Wii U game you'll ever play.
Or, perhaps the first NX one, but then we don't know that because they didn't unveil the damned thing.

I hate to say it, but I probably would have bought more software for the vita had I not have been receiving free games for it via PS Plus...

Re: Talking Point: What June PlayStation Plus Free Games Do You Want?

I thought that was an intentional gag! Geralt just stumbles out of brothels with no trousers every now and then?

From what I've heard, the game is actually pretty sound. But yeah. That trailer.
Re: Talking Point: What June PlayStation Plus Free Games Do You Want?
Metal Gear Peace Walker for the Vita. Seeing as we're getting PSP titles for it now we might as well get the best ones.
Re: Talking Point: What June PlayStation Plus Free Games Do You Want?
@Bad-MuthaAdebisi Invisible Inc is unlikely but DAMN that would be sweet!

I'm dubious - wasn't April's Plus release full of Ubisoft games? Not sure the publisher would go two for two.
