Made Microsoft's "exclusive" filled presentation look tired, think the pre show had as many true exclusives as the entirety of MS, but was disappointed there was nothing new from From. Spiderman looked good, unsure about Days Gone myself.

I'm more concerned that gaming is getting stuck in a rut content and story telling wise.
All the bells and whistles and fancy sports car launches (why oh why was that there) can't hide the tired and generic state that many big games seem to be veering into.

@ShogunRok EA didn't have much more to show, glad I didn't get up early for this one though as I'd planned to, all hail the snooze button.

I think they should stick to covering games and content that's planned for a release in the next year. Fair enough, one or two may get delayed, but no more reveals of titles that may not even end up on the PS4.

@KratosMD Except with a far superior battery to the DS4, which is not difficult but handy nevertheless.

Should have been bundled with the Pro console.

@BAMozzy I think you have to subscribe for a year if you take up this offer, so if you get bored of star wars, Sony still got your money.

To add insult to injury, they emailed me this offer, even though it's not applicable.
I've never understood why companies do these offers, thumbing their noses at the existing customers. Sky are pretty awful for it also.

Hasn't Neon Chrome already been a Plus title? Pretty sure I've played it before and know I didn't buy it?
I'm guessing Knack will be given away during the E3 presentation now.

@dark_knightmare2 I just feel more confident in a games quality if they allow reviews a week before. Feels they have something to hide when they don't appear until either preorder can't be cancelled or game is in the shops.

@get2sammyb I hope I'm wrong, since it was revealed at E3 I've been looking forward to it. Hope your review puts my concerns to rest

With its troubled development, this is one game that could have done without the review embargo. Doesn't exactly inspire confidence does it?

Which of these truly lived up to the hype though? That might be an interesting follow up poll.

Shame The Order isn't included in this sale, it's as if they want you to use spoof accounts. Some of these titles have been discounted for so long I'm unsure if it's still legal to show the original rrp!

@dark_knightmare2 There's a point though where it goes past borrowing and is closer to being derivative of other titles.

@Lurker what is harsh about that? Maybe homage would have been a better choice of word.
It is strange that Bethesda can go to such lengths to protect its trademark of the Prey brand, when the game itself is not shy in borrowing from other titles.

@Lurker Got my copy in the post Friday, played about 10 hours or so. Haven't made much progress past Yu're office, just been exploring.
I just feel it borrows very heavily from System & BioShock, doesn't really have much new about it, barring the mimics.
I'm enjoying it, but 7 is about as high as I'd go so far.

@Lurker This title goes above and beyond inspiration. Often more like a fan made tribute to their favourite past games with a AA budget.

The sense of deja vu is strong with this one. It's certainly stylish, not sold on it's substance.
Dialogue comes out of wrong speakers, which I've noticed in several other Bethesda games on ps4.
The idea of the aliens mimicking any object certainly adds to the nerves, apart from when they sprout from something you've already whacked.
Not entirely sold on how it controls either.
Certainly think some of these initial scores are a bit high.

@Ewflex I think it's probably my fault for playing first few hours, getting a feel for game and then restarting. Hate the feeling that I've done things in the wrong way or order, which makes open world titles an absolute nightmare!
Think it's why I've grown to enjoy souls type games. I can restart ad infinitum and don't get too bored playing the first few hours over because as I improve it takes less time to progress.

Let my Plus subscription lapse for the first time in ages, more because auto renewal never works even if money in account and I can't be bothered to sort it out.
Whilst I knew that any igc games would become unavailable (don't approve of this btw and always preferred the Microsoft policy) I was surprised to find even themes that I'd got with PS+ were now unavailable.
Pretty lame if you ask me and has probably made me less likely to renew. That fortheplayers slogan should be consigned to Dusty bin.

@wiiware I meant the destroyed world looked very similar to that of Nier, some of the destroyed buildings looked copy & pasted.
Not saying Nier's presentation was wholly original, just unfortunate timing that this is revealed so soon after.

Looks like a more polished Nier Automata with less skimpy clothing.

@rjejr I'm in the minority here, but Horizon - whilst a polished to near blindingly sparkly - didn't really grab me. I played for a few days and it was ok, but safe. Didn't really hook me as it seems to have most others.
Zelda has been the same. Great first few hours play, then no real desire to keep going.
Maybe I should see a doctor!

@glassmusic I think you've hit the nail dead on the head there.
It's not a case of their sales forecasts being optimistic but also consumers getting wise to company tactics, fatigue of season passes, high profile cases of sub par quality first day versions.
Put all this together alongside the 2nd hand market and mid cycle hardware upgrades it's little wonder they fell short.
Even the much lauded Witcher 3 released a much cheaper goty edition with all dlc and patches. If I'd held off for that I'd have saved money and not be stuck with a couple of broken quests that I can't now bring myself to go back to.
Pay a premium price early on for an inferior product or hold off for better & cheaper is definitely the way forward.

@Ultimategamer132 The consumer is rarely the king, no matter the product. Region locked DVD's, geo location locked streaming services and copy protection software on CD's that meant you can't even put purchased albums on your own laptop are just 3 modern annoyances that drive me bonkers!

@Ultimategamer132 If developers don't want it streamed and disable that functionality within the hardware then that's their choice and we can either accept that and buy game or not buy. The only really choice as consumers we have I guess.
I don't really stream or take many screenshots and didn't enjoy watching someone else play P5. Perhaps that's part of the reason? Maybe some games are better played than watched? I'll find out if I can ever find and buy a copy!

I could understand why a title like this would block streaming. Why buy it, when actual gameplay is minimal (have read several reviews and struggled to find more than a paragraph dedicated to this) and watching a complete let's play for free offers you the same experience.

I was surprised to read it isn't part of the Sniper Elite family of games. Was there no legal battle over the naming of this game?
Any game with loading times that high should never be released full stop.

@Fight_Teza_Fight I tend to put stuff in my wishlist and check it every week, if there's any that are reduced I then do a quick physical price comparison before pouncing. And yes, I'm a lot of fun at parties.

@Fight_Teza_Fight The exception does not prove the rule. I very rarely buy digital old or new unless it's dirt cheap and most cases I can still find it cheaper in physical if I look or wait, and I make less impulse purchases that way, which is good for the wallet.
I'm all for a healthy online store, just feel the pricing is a bit wrong and I refuse to pay pre-order upfront, so thanks Sony for saving me money that way too!

It's cheaper on Amazon (in UK with Prime) than a PS Store digital copy, so get it there and let's start a boycott of overpriced digital licenses.

@LobsterJohnson Bought that in the recent PS4 Humble Bundle pack, wasn't particularly impressed myself.
In all honesty, only about 5/6 of these I'd be interested in playing or paying for again. Okami & Killer 7 for definite. There's too many great games out now or on the horizon to go back to inferior titles, both technically and in gameplay terms.

@sketchturner Anyone who reads the headline of any news story and not the actual story, deserves to live in ignorance and be ill informed.

@rjejr I think i gave Witcher 3 a bit more leeway because the core game was just so good, FFXV I've just not got into. The story is slight, world barren and i didn't really know or care for my troop of emo bro's. I'm going to give it another try, one day!
As for Fallout 4, it got quite a lot of grief for its performance issues but the content was there but must admit i never made it all the way through.
Not defending any games, but there were differences in the base products of all 3. FFXV didn't have enough straight out of the box for me.

@adf86 If critical of the work, why target an individual, especially an individual wrongly linked with the issue?
The game is a product and as another poster has already stated, not buying a shoddy product is surely the best way to voice our opinion?
I also think it's a tad assumptive to blame this solely on the youth. I am sure there are plenty of more mature gamers that fire off these vile rants from the safety and anonymity of their sofa's. (That last bit is just a general observation, not directed at anyone in particular.)

@FullbringIchigo Even with all the boxes ticked for automatic updates, my PS4 never does that. Blooming annoying it is.

Just hope it doesn't corrupt any of my saves, got past the 1st cauldron boss in Horizon and I made a right meal of it.

Enjoying the first few hours, looks gorgeous, a few glitches and textures popping in and facial animations are occasionally wonky. Combat is a weakness, especially after playing hours of Nioh. It does look and sound like a true next gen game after 2 years...

Whole game left me underwhelmed in the first place so would take a lot more to tempt me back in. Empty world, combat system felt off, story made no sense, awful map, pointless driving.
Astonished at the near universal praise it received.

I was involved in the beta trials for PS Now and was really impressed. Not having owned a PS3, it gave me an opportunity to try the games I had missed out on and then Sony announced the pricing.
Not having it available in a large part of the consumer base, an assumption that everyone has high speed connectivity and pricing the service to highly killed it of before it had a chance.

Encountering some strange graphical glitches that definitely weren't there before, faces look even more uncanny but on the whole looks crisper, cleaner and more godly than before.

Really enjoying it, think I'm starting to get hang of the combat and making progress through bat filled caves. Wish the Nioh armour and weapon set that was a digital preorder bonus came with physical copies, but that's more a fault with current business practices than the game.
Enjoying more than Bloodborne, running around in me ninja suit.

Going to wait for game and all DLC to be packaged together, see it's price drop and then buy. Don't agree with the practise of paid DLC a week after release and not fully convinced with the new direction RE has taken.

@RedMageLanakyn Yeah, sorry you're right. Can't compare physical & digital that way.
Any digital purchases I've not enjoyed get deleted and become another entry in my already unmanageable library, would love the option to delete betas, demos etc.
I guess I just wouldn't expect a refund because I didn't enjoy something, wouldn't do it with other forms of entertainment so why games?

@RedMageLanakyn I've had several. Trade them in though. There was no fault with the product, why should I expect a refund?
