@RedMageLanakyn If you buy a game that's not very good, that's your responsibility. Refunds should be for faults, not poor decisions.

Had high hopes for this, looks nice but the gameplay looks lacklustre and done elsewhere a million times before. Enthusiasm dulled.

@BAMozzy I see that as replying to your comment and disagreeing, not addressing and telling you you're wrong. Maybe TLG game mechanics haven't altered much in the years (not many games have), maybe the camera is a bit dodgy (it's hardly alone there either) but it looks far better than any ps3 game I can recall.

@BAMozzy Don't think they're criticizing, just disagreeing! Personally, I think it looks amazing and very impressed. May try tweaking the camera control speed but have just been spellbound by the world. Trico has been following me no problems, feels almost real in its behaviour at times and I've found myself talking to the screen, like a real pet. Which is slightly worrying.
It's really an experience more than a game to me thus far and can't wait to delve in deeper.

@get2sammyb It wasn't a criticism, more an observation. I'm sure it will be a good game but with so little to go on, I'd have probably voted for a more complete title. Though have enough games at the minute so avoiding adding anymore to the list!

Was there any gameplay or demos of TLOU2? Find it strange for a game to win a 'best of' solely on a trailer.

I see with a PS + discount it's price is the same as it is currently in the US. So not only do they rip us off normally but advertise price parity as a discount. It's high time this was brought to task, not only buy us gamers and gaming press but also at a government level, or Anne Robinson on Watchdog.

@RedMageLanakyn Yeah, you're right. More an irritation than major problem that I hope gets resolved. Odd how the three games mentioned are all from Japanese devs. Mere coincidence I wonder, too dense to speculate.

As for QA and playtesting, you can't deny that Nintendo set the gold standard.

Only done tutorial and pushed my car to the garage. Paw paw's daughter bap bap sent me off on a kill quest but seeing as attack button is what I'm expecting evade button to be or something, my battle finesse was lacking.
Not really feeling it at this point, I actually switched off and restarted playing Witcher 3 from beginning and sure it runs better on the Pro than it did on OG. Maybe it's finally patched to perfection but the game world still looks amazing.

This should have been one of December's PS+ offerings. A well known and respected indie title that would offer cross play opportunities. Hoping there's a demo as I always like the look of these things but they never truly grab me.

@JoeBlogs Half the discounts offered on the PS store aren't really discounts, barely bring pricing into line with physical!
I no longer buy any of the indie games on the store anymore, partly because I haven't got the time to play what I already own and partly due to them always turning up on PS Plus at some point. It must affect their sales as I can't be in the minority with this approach.
Quite enjoyed that spelling game last month, I prefer getting games I'd probably never buy. That transformers game was awful though, it was like watching MTV.

Having just played through the introductory mission, I hope it improves. Felt a bit overwhelmed, had to squint at TV to see what button to press for what and died numerous times. Presentation is amazing though.
Switched to Rise of the Tomb Raider and was blown away, much gentler introduction and just looks stunning on Pro with a 1080 display, excited to see it in 4k and know which I'll be playing tomorrow.
Then I can wait for WD2 season pass to go on sale!!

@Galvatron I think the score is pending and review is marked as 'in progress' due to the multiplayer aspect not functioning?
But really, if all you want is a number, there's always Metacritic.
Several sites are dropping the final score in favour of letting the words do the talking and the reader doing the deciding!

@Splat It's a veritable minefield trying to figure out which TV is best equipped and I'm struggling to make a choice. Admittedly my budget limits my options, and every time I think I've found the right one I read another review that changes my mind.
Torn between a Philips 6401 or a Panasonic DX700, neither of which are top end but probably sufficient for my eyes.

@NathanUC Cheers, that was what I was considering. I've already put the 500g HDD to an alternative use so will just switch the two 1TB drives. I'm guessing that'll make transferring game data and saves a bit easier, as long as the Pro refuses to play nice!

@NathanUC I switched out the HDD on my original PS4 for a 1TB Seagate SSD Hybrid and I'm unsure whether to swap that into my Pro before selling it.
Haven't seen much info on the HDD specs in the Pro, much of coverage is on graphics and processor.

@JaxonH That Switch has my interest, if all I used it for was Zelda and nostalgia.
I think the SNES is a good starting point for kids even today. Games are a good mix of styles and the over the top violence, swears and rude bits are less prevalent.
I've had hours of fun with PS4 and 360 before it but not the same level of wonderment. Bloodborne & now Souls 3 are getting me there though and Witcher 3 was superb. Deus Ex hasn't really gripped me and open world things are the gaming equivalent of fast food...

@playstation1995 they've some ways to go to make a better console than the SNES. Maybe it was the age I was when I got it but nothing has beaten the enjoyment I got, and still do, from that little grey box over so many years.

I can't see VR titles being part of the Plus games line up. What percentage of subscribers are likely to own the equipment or be in the market for buying one?
Seeing the number of unhappy commenters following each months reveal surely Sony are wise enough to not add to reasons for these grumbles?
Personally, I'd like a game that holds my interest for longer than that Transformers did. Would be happy with og Tomb Raider, RE4 or Divinity?

Alternatively, Iceland isn't in FIFA 17 because they didn't accept EA offer for rights. Surely EA have a deal with FIFA for all teams, but then that would negate any additional money grabbing...

Can a game be on PS+ if it's been discounted in the previous month? That'd probably narrow the list somewhat, if it left anything to give away, but could prevent people feeling ripped off come the big day. (I just bought Gravity Rush in the sale, held off on watch dogs cos I thought that be ps+ fodder)

@Napples To be fair, you're denying yourself end game content because you don't want to play the way the game is set up. Fair enough, you'd rather there was a built in way to team up with your pals but that's never been part of Destiny.

@goonow Unless you employ a disqus style commenting system, that would mean the conversations would read backward and you'd have to scroll to the bottom to get to the start.

Timing of this "announcement" seems pretty convenient and beneficial to Microsoft as well. Unless you're prepared to share these unreasonable conditions & demands with the customers you feel deserve mods the way they should be, then keep your gob shut Bethesda!

@Napples I read the Kotaku story earlier and had understood it to mean that Sony may charge developers to push a patch enabling Pro enhancements.

I've pre-ordered, don't need one but I'm a sucker for the latest gadget so if I can recoup half of its cost by selling my og ps4 with increased hdd to family or friends I'll be getting one. Then to use my stop smoking fund for a new tv. (Have to stop dipping into that fund, got the willpower now!)

I'd heard some games don't apply certain settings to keep fan noise and use going into overdrive?
Played Lords of the Fallen last night, which seems ok but noisy fan reared its ugly head.

Will it include an option to delete all notifications and helpful ps4 tips at once? I don't own a 4k tv yet but those inclusions would make it a day one purchase. Also, if automatic downloads worked reliably and at a reasonable speed. And if I could delete demos from my library.
But no, Sony will rush out a new, improved console without fixing what's been broken since launch on the PS4 Veteris...

I'm no happy, all games should be brand new releases so there's no chance of anyone having already bought them. They should also be backwards compatible with my microwave so I can play them how I want, when I want and I'd like Taylor Swift to come and manually install them to all my devices whilst tidying my living room. And I want a price reduction and a packet of hob nobs. If they're not chocolate orange, I'll ask for a refund...

@BAMozzy No offense but what it's developed on is irrelevant to me buying it on a PS4. And the broadband analogy is a bit of a stretch.

@BAMozzy Or just get the game running at 30/60 before overloading the system with additional bells & whistles, which hasn't been the case so far with Fallout 4 anyway.

@Tenacious-P With respect, the store were wrong to do that. Just because you didn't like a game isn't a valid reason to return it. Don't get me wrong, I've used several excuses in the past to get a refund or replacement, not always successfully, but wouldn't expect a store to give me a second game purely because I didn't enjoy the first.

Just like Tomb Raider, I'll be waiting until it's discounted. Got plenty to play and wasn't completely blown away by Limbo, glad to see such a positive review though

@Bbp55 Did Microsoft really dominate the mobile market? And if so, where? I can't recall ever owning a MS phone in 17 years and the number of people I've known with one is low.

@BAMozzy it's a shame that it's the visuals and not gameplay that drives the industry forward. I think too often games are lauded more for how they look and not how they play, but I agree with a lot of what you say.
Few more pixels, frames and less jaggies (dieting my age there I guess) and a new shiny box and my self restraint goes out the window!

@rjejr A new Zelda and not owning a Wii U is all the persuading I need! If Sony are moving to an incremental upgrade strategy, I may hold off on ps4.325 and get the NX.
Either way, I'm in no rush and will wait and see how they both do. I am unlikely to switch over to Xbox though, my current gen is ps4 and I think persuading people to swap mid generation will be tricky for M-Soft.
I'd duck for cover after that engagement analogy though!

@rjejr is the nx likely to be in competition with an upgraded ps4 though? Are Nintendo aiming to be the 2nd console people buy to play as a handheld and to get their fix of Nintendo only titles?

Personally I try and play one or two games at a time otherwise I lose track of where I am, what the controls are etc. but if external hdd is supported by the competition and easy to accommodate than why not.
I'd love to have more control over my library, the PS Store could be more user friendly and intuitive which goes for a lot of the menus, maybe I'm getting forgetful in my old age but it takes a few too many button presses to get what I'm looking for and doesn't always make sense.

@AG_Awesome Sammy keeps posting pictures of Taylor Swift but I still haven't bought any of her albums, though I might now if it annoys Kanye.
I believe he's only encouraging discussion on an issue.

@adf86 I don't think it's always that a game is indie that causes the uproar but more the gameplay of these games, which can often be more of an acquired taste or alienate the majority of AAA title buyers, who enjoy a lengthy campaign or just don't enjoy the rogue like element that appears in so many offerings?
Me, I try all titles offered, some appeal but most don't. Been playing games for years but must admit the big games have probably left me spoilt when it comes to small budget offerings, but I'm wandering off topic now

Looks like Witcher 3 has outdone Fallout 4 yet again. Enjoy playing both titles but only one do I truly admire.
