Assassin's Creed Valhalla was my first ever AC experience. I thought it started strong but became a repetitive slog with an alright but not great story somewhere around 15 hours in. Covid kept me playing because that's about all I could do haha This expansion seems a bit more interesting with werewolves, cults and such. Definitely interested but I think Mass Effect and Resident Evil 8 will be taking up the majority of my play time the next month or so! Thanks for the review 👍
I'd kill for a remastered or remake of Left for Dead 1&2! Such great games! left for Dead 3 would be even better but we will know Valve doesn't do threes 🤣
The past two BF games really left a sour aftertaste. BF 4 took a year of patches to finally be somewhat good. For me personaly BF was at its best with BF2, BC2 and BF3. Let's hope Dice knocks it out of the park with there next BF and we get the level of destruction found in Bad Company 2 mixed with the multiplayer gameplay of 2 and 3.
Fair points man. I guess I'm looking back through rose colored lens of nostalgia from the PS4 glory days. Don't get me wrong the PS5 is a beast the SSD alone is a game changer. The DuelSence controller is the best Sony has ever put out and the system doesn't sound like a jet taking off playing games! I guess I'm being impatient. The PS5 is still in it's infancy but it seems longer for some reason. Possibly because of having to shelter in place due to covid-19 and doing nothing but gaming in my free time.
If I could change anything it would be the system UI tho. Hate that we have to press the PS button from the main UI and have to go through multiple menus just to access your friends list. Hopefully Sony updates this and let's us customize the UI and bring back folders! For all the steps forward the PS5 has taken I feel it's taken a massive step backwards with the system UI. Anyhow cheers mate!
RE 7 in VR for me personally is my #1. Playing it in VR was a completely fantastic and terrifying experience. RE8 is a close 2nd followed by the original RE2. If Capcom decides to release RE8 in VR at some point it will easily take my personal #1 spot.
@Yfs11six I'm playing on a 48 inch 1080p TV still. This summer I'll be getting a 70 inch Samsung 4K for the living room. Im sure I'll notice a huge jump in quality after this.
I feel blessed I was able to score a launch PS5 for $499. But at the same time while the system is fantastic I feel a little let down. Games have been slim pickings and most games releasing are cross gen still and with stock shortages to continue into 2022 I bet most games will still be released cross gen. Guess what I'm trying to say is one I'm ready for a true next gen game that's actually next gen and two not having a PS5 isn't that big of a deal with all the cross gen games coming out. Also the UI on the PS5 is hot garage compared to the PS4 and even the PS3.
It's all about Resident Evil 8 and a bit of Returnal for me this weekend. I'm absolutely digging everything about RE8 right now. Just 100% the castle and now back in the village. One lord down 3 more to go! This has taken me about 8 hours and I'm loving the value this game is delivering! I tend to play games like this at a slower pace and explore every nook and cranny. Capcom did it up right with RE8 I'm beyond impressed!
No issues software wise. But that said I can't seem to clear the first area boss. On my 27th try now and have just about lost interest. I have never had issues with hard games. Got plats on all the souls games but this game is kicking my butt something good.
I herd the same 10 -12 hours. I started last night and played a good 6 hours and haven't even scratched the surface of this game. I'm currently still in the first zone at the castle. I guess it's possible to beat the game in 10-12 hours if your rushing. But I'm going for a completionist run and there's load of side activities and collectibles to pursue.
Spent a good 6 hours last night exploring the first part of the village, and the castle. The game is amazing. Made it to the castle rooftops. The castle has that old school RE1 & RE2 feel with lots of puzzles and keys to be found and locks that need picking! It's got the right blend of action and horror. It's perfect!
Playing on the PS5 and load times are practically non-existent. Graphically the game is very impressive but I have noticed some low resolution textures specifically at the very first part of the game in the village tree branches grass and things. RE8 definitely has enemy variety and that was one of my only complaints about RE7 and RE7 is my favorite RE. So excited to finish this game and start a new game plus!
What a waist of 8 gigs..I'll wait on the full game I guess. I down loaded the demo last night and was greeted with a message stating I had to wait a full week to play it, pre-order or watch the trailer. This seems very counter productive but whatever I guess.
I'm supper excited for RE8. RE7 is currently my personalI favorite game in the series. I known it's controversial game among Resident Evil purist but it pumped some much needed life into the franchise. I'm hoping it does that again after the last luster RE3 remake.
Off topic. I'd love to see a Code Veronica, RE1 or RE0 remake in the vain of the RE2R.
Hopefully this remaster will rekindle that BioWare spark that's been missing from it's recent games for fans and the devs alike. This is my favorite franchise of all time along with Resident Evil. I want to see BioWare beat the odds and get some positive spin and press and hopefully use that momentum and put it into the next Dragon Age and Mass Effect!
I 100% the entire trilogy on the 360, then I platted the trilogy again when it was released for the PlayStation 3. Looks like I'll be doing the same playing on the PS5 this time.
Definitely my favorite games of all time. The final mission of ME2, the suicide mission is for me personally the greatest mission in all of gaming. The tension, music and your decisions all coming to ahead in the final moments of ME2 was just amazing. If only I could turn back the clock and experience for the first time again.
I'm supper excited to playthrough ME1 with all the bells and whistles added. I loved the first game but it was definitely a ruff experience. Hoping it now plays more like M2 and 3. But if not still excited and can't wait to jump back into the Normandy!
Right there with you! I have so many questions. Are they going with destroy ending? Is Sheppard's story going to continue? Will the game be centered around rebuilding the galaxy or will it somehow tie into Andromeda? Will Cerberus be involved. The list could go on and on hahah
There still so much left to explore in the milky way galaxy. I believe one of the codex in the game states that less than 1% of the entire galaxy was explored. So the sky is the limit new races threats. I'm supper excited!
The Mass Effect series is my all-time favorite games. I have played them so many times over I have lost count. I'm beyond excited for this even with the shaddow hanging over the franchise that was Andromeda.
So this looks like it takes place right after ME3. You see the destroyed mass relay and the citadel blown to pieces. So I guess there making the (DESTROY) red ending the cannon ending which is cool. It's the only ending that Sheppard physically lives so that makes sense in how they could continue his story line. Hopefully synthesis and control are just indoctrination choices and it's explained this way because that's then only way it would make sense.
Wonder who the big bad will be now? They could go with the easy choice and do the leviathans since the reapers are out of the picture. They could finally come out of hiding and attempt to enslave the galaxy again. Will they bring the reapers back? Could be millions of them in Dark Space still. I'm excited to see were this goes and how they bring the story forward Also really looking forward to Garrus recalibrating my entire armory again 😁
My PS5 definitely as the coil nose. Is it bad or distracting? Not at all this system is the quietest console I've ever owned bar none. Hell its not even warm to the touch. My PS4 Pro sounded like it was going to take off for orbit when playing Red Dead, God of War Of Modern Warfare. Plus it almost got hot enough to cook on hahaha
This is a nine issue and it's being blown way out of proportion in my opinion.
This game was my first PS4 plat. I played it religiously. Totally underrated gem. Far from perfect as it did drag a bit in the middle with the androids after a certain point but still a master class survival horror.
As badly as I want a day one PS5 I'll be waiting probably 6 months after launch to pick one up. Both my launch 360 and PS3 died within the first 4 months. 360 RROD. PS3 yellow light. I'd rather wait and see if it's trouble free before I drop $400 plus.
Really, really excited for this game! RE7 was my all-time favorite RE with the RE2 remake following close behind. Here's hoping they support VR in RE8!
Alien Isolation is the most underrated survival horror game this gen. It was one of the first games I platinumed on the PS4. I'd kill to replay it in VR!
Just made it to the 2nd Island after clearing the first 100%. I love the duels and have played pretty much as a samurai and not the ghost. Love me them standoffs! So good!
Try the RE 2 remake. Absolutely fantastic game! Dripping with all the right atmosphere, puzzle solving, zombie blasting an RE game should have. I'd stay away from the RE 3 remake though till it's deeply discounted.
There's a lot of OG RE fans that hate the any of the none fixed camera games. I get it I grew up playing RE1, RE2 and RE3 on the PS1 but RE7 was like a breath of fresh air and the Soft Reboot that the series desperately needed.
