Re: The Last of Us 2 Leak Leaves Director 'Heartbroken'

OMG_Waffles

I'm probably one of the few that couldn't get into the first game. God I tried to, I think I started a new game 4 times and always left off after the school boss fight. The game just never got it's hooks into me. It's a quality game for sure I guess I'm just an odd one. As for the LOU2 I'm excited but I'll probably wait for major price drop or the eventual PlayStation 5 release.

Resident Evil 3!

I have been having a blast with the game and just beat it on standard difficulty. I will attempted a hard core run tonight. As others have have stated it a tad on the short side my first playthrough was around 6.5 hours but boy is it fun! I may try and Platinum this game just as I did on RE2R.

Man I'm ready this is great news. Hopefully it turns out to be true.

I wouldn't mind at all if RE8 has a completely different feel. Capcom really turned it around this gen with RE7, RE2R and some would say with RE3R. They have earned back my trust.

Something more along of Silent Hill would be fantastic if they could pull it off with the hallucinations, occultism, and insanity! That stuff is right up my alley! The perspective the game plays in wouldn't bother me at all. I thought it was rather refreshing being able to play RE7 in FPS and loved playing it in VR!

Bring it!

Re: Game of the Decade: The Witcher 3 Set a New Standard for RPGs That's Yet to Be Topped

OMG_Waffles

The Witcher 3 was my first and only Platinum trophy up untill the recently-released Resident Evil 2. I have played through the Campaign 7 times three times on PS4 and 4 times on the PC. Playing this game in 4k @ 60 fps is a sight to behold and should be experienced!

The story telling for a game as large as the world in the Witcher 3 is and still is unparalleled. It was the first game that I played that truly felt like a living breathing world. The only fault I can dock against the game was it's combat and controls (damn candles) 😉 which on the PC has been fixed thanks to the modding community on Nexus.

It's quite possible that this game will never be topped and will live on for decades like The Legend of Zelda Ocarina of Time and Final Fantasy 7. It's just that good.

Re: Google Stadia's Weak Launch Lineup Won't Have PS Now Sweating Yet

OMG_Waffles

I remember years ago when Onlive launched. At the time I was totally hyped for the service as I was a broke collage kid and couldn't afford a console or a descent gaming PC. The first and only game I bought form the service was Deus Ex: Human Revolution. That game was practically unplayable due to input lag. To this day I still have a bad taste in my mouth when it comes to cloud gaming due to this.

I'm sure that Cloud gaming has been greatly improved since the introduction of Onlive but I'd much rather not be required to have and depend on having a stable connection to play games. I live and work in the rural North Texas area just North of Dallas and we have one internet provider. There service is hit or miss on a weekly bases at best.

I understand and completely get the appeal for wanting to playing AAA games at max specs but not having the money to afford a gaming console or gaming pc because I have been there. But at least for the time being and foreseeable future I don't see the current infrastructure that's set up now being able to deliver a reliable trouble free solution.

I'll just stick to my PS4 Pro and desktop gaming PC. I can play both off line and Steam's offline mode is great for someone like myself and I take full advantage of it due to were I live.

Stadia cant offer me that in anyway especially with this lineup games.

Re: Days Gone's Physical Launch the Largest of the Year in UK

I love this game. Bend did an amazing job in my humble opinion. Making an open world game is no easy feet and given this was there first stab at the genera I think they mostly knocked it out of the park. Its not perfect, it has some control and pacing issues but at the end of the day its fun to play! I fondly remember the first Uncharted game being the same way and look how that sires evolved over time! I'm excited to see were Bend will take the series in the future.

Re: Days Gone Will Get Post-Launch DLC, But Details Are Underwraps

@AdamNovice

Fair point. In today's day and age long term support is extremely important in keeping the community active and for increasing sales over the long term. I just kind of find it cheap that the game hasn't even dropped and there already talking about add on DLC. Could be I'm just set in my old school ways though.

Re: Days Gone Will Get Post-Launch DLC, But Details Are Underwraps

OMG_Waffles

Kind of rubs me the wrong way that DLC is announced before the full game is even released.

I wonder if it will be single player story add on or some kind of survivor stile MP on set in the open world. A faction vs faction kind of thing would be interesting. Gather resources, build a camp, gear up and then go raid other factions.

Re: The Resident Evil 2 1-Shot Demo Has Been Played Over 2.3 Million Times

OMG_Waffles

I took my time with the demo the first go round and didn't finish it. My curiosity got the better of me multiple times and the need to explore and examine everything took over. I ended up creating 3 new accounts just to keep playing it lol

From the small slice I played I in the demo can safely say that this is the best Resident Evil I have played to date with the exception of the original Resident Evil 2 & 3 on the PS1 and the RE1 remake. I don't ever pre-order as a rule but I sure as hell did after playing this demo!

Just 4 more days! 4 long days....
