This is why you buy the disk version of the PS5 πŸ˜‰ I'm old school and enjoy my physical media. Plus I still enjoy going to my mom and pop brick and mortar game store by the house and shopping used games. Even as a old fart I enjoy talking games in the store. It's a very enjoyable experience for sure.

It's also been extremely refreshing to have a level heard discussion with you all a out this. I learned a little something new today thanks to you sharing about these past issues. I really appreciate brother!

Dude I had no idea honestly. That's extremely disgusting. That 228 Mil could have actually gone to support something worthwhile to better the people of the county.

Recently in the last 3 months I have started to explore lesser know studios games and found some amazing stuff. Salt and Sanctuary, Hollow Knight and Bloodstained. I'd much rather support a smaller developer and there passion for making good engaging games then tossing money into the corporate black hole of copy and paste every year.

True that, WW2 had been done so much it's definitely gotten stale. As far as the allegations go. You're never going to see it in court because Activision paid off California about a month ago. It's dead and buried now. arstechnia had a great article on it about a moth ago.

I'll be honest I buy COD almost every instalment. It's always been a guilty pleasure of mine. But this year and in years to come I will be skipping the franchise. After the Blizzard & Activision fiasco with all the allegations of sexual harassment I have decided not to support the company untill they can show actual change. I wish more folks would do this as well. There only going to change when we hit there pocketbook.

Re: Gigantic Ghost Recon: Breakpoint Update Adds a Whole New Game Mode, Raises Level Cap to 99

You know I loved playing GR Wildlands MP. I dropped a crazy amount of hours into that game. Loved the slow pace and tactical teamwork in MP. But like most after playing the Breakpoint beta I didn't give the game a 2nd chance. It just wasn't GR in anything but name and it's so sad how this franchise has fallen. Maybe it's worth picking up now after the update in the bargain bin. I herd they added AI teammates for the campaign and took away the stupid gear score. Is the game in a better state of play now guys?

Re: Returnal Update 2.0 Finally Lets You Suspend Your Run

OMG_Waffles

Probably going to be an unpopular opinion here but here it is. First off I absolutely loved the world of Returnal and bought it day one. The world, environment , and story drew me in fast, loved it just outstanding! But for me personally the games difficulty was just a huge turn off. I'm an older man and having lighting reflex's has gone the way of dinosaurs plus I only have about 60% mobility in my right hand. Due to this playing this game felt like punishment. It's not that I don't love hard games. I freaking love them, 100% DS1 and DS3 and also Niho1&2. But the movent and snap control decisions in Returnal was just much for me. I'd love an option of getting the difficulty lowered or having more accessibility options kind of like the Last of Us 2 had. Actually if the last of us 2 did anything right it was all the options for disabled gamers. I hope in the future more of Sony's in house studios start to add these options in all there games. It's makes a huge difference for the few of us with physical conditions.

Finally got the Plat Trophy and 100% on Horizon Zero Dawn. New game plus with the extra hard mode difficulty was not as bad as I feared. Felt good hitting that 100% and now I'm craving more open world goodness. So I'll probably start playing the newer Assassin's Creed games. I picked up the three newest ones a while back as a bundle and also on sale. Origins, Odyssey and Valhalla. Origins looks right up my alley so I'll probably start with that. But I'm tempted to see what Valhalla looks like running on the PS5. So tempting πŸ˜‚

I'll be installing my new WD Black 2tb SSD in the PS5 and after that going to finish Resident Evil 8. If I have time to spare I think I'm going to start a new playthrough of Mass Effect 3 as a pure biotic. Mass Effect just keeps pulling me back to play it over and over and I got to give BioWare it's due, the remaster was amazingly will done!

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 394

OMG_Waffles

Finishing up my 5th playthrough of Horizon Zero Dawn! This game just doesn't get old!

After that I'll start a nightmare playthrough of Alien Isolation. Alien Isolation was my first Platinum but I never cleared the game on nightmare difficulty. I'll also play the DLC missions as I haven't touched any of them.

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 391

I'm going to start up my first playthrough of Final Fantasy 7 Remake. I picked it up on launch but never got around to giving it a go. Was able to snag the PS5 upgrade for free which was nice! I'm definitely in the mood for more FF as I just finished FF15 and 12 this month so I'm hoping FF7 it lives up to the hype!

Re: Mass Effect Legendary Edition Sales 'Well Above' Expectations, Says EA

OMG_Waffles

Took me forever but I finally played through all three games. ME1 I think saw the biggest improvements in terms of gameplay, graphics, tweaks to cover, weapon ballance and a much needed inventory management. Mako still drives like ass but it's part of the charm of ME1.

Out of all the improvement to ME1 what really sold me was all the added DLC from ME2 and ME3 that I never got to play. Almost all of it was just amazing. I'd rank them Overlord, Citadel DLC was definitely a close second. Followed by Layer of the Shadow Broker. I thought Leviathan was really good but not great. Omega was just ok and Firewaker was pointless. Loved that everything ran at 60 in 4k. And loaded in seconds on the PS5.

Oddly I didn't mind the ending to ME3 as much this time especially that I got to play with Javik for the first time, finished Leviathan and got some back story on the Reapers. Citadel was just the icing on the cake and wonderful fan service. Loved the party, silly story and arena fighting!

Just a wonderful collection of games I will continue to play for years on end! Couldn't be more happy with the purchase!

I have never been much of an Xbox guy with the exception of the 360. I enjoyed the hell out of Gears of War 1-3. That said the Xbox showcase impressed the hell out of me. Game Pass is looking better and better as they add more exclusively to the service. With Xbox purchasing Obsidian and Bethesda I'll probably be picking up an Xbox sooner than later. Nothing but impressed!

Re: Upcoming PS5, PS4 Games for June and July 2021

OMG_Waffles

What a great month for games! R&C is going to be day one and my first time playing any of the games. I'm also fairly interested in Dark Alliance. I played the hell out of baldur's gate Dark Alliance 1&2 back in the PS2 days. So I'm hoping it reviews well.

Re: Mass Effect Legendary Edition (PS4) - An Enriching, Engrossing, Excellent Trilogy, Now Better Than Ever

OMG_Waffles

It never occurred to me and I had completely forgotten about the DLC that I had skipped out on in ME2 and ME3. I just finished playing the Overlord side quest in ME2 for the first time and I'm completely blown away.

The emotional feels I had about what happened to David at the end of that quest line. No game has ever invoked that kind of response from me before. I was disguested, mad and furious at what Cerberus had done! Can't believe I missed playing this stuff at release! It's amazingly well done. Just as good as the main story.

I hope the rest of the DLC is on pare with Overlord. If so I'm in for a treat!
