Sea of Stars, the highly anticipated indie RPG coming to PS5 and PS4 on the 29th August, has just gone gold. In other words, it's now entered its final certification phase ahead of launch, and it should be ready to go next month.
"Sea of Stars has gone gold!" writes Sea of Stars' official Twitter account. "The master build was submitted to certification, meaning the next people to touch the game will be all of you."
Of course, it's worth reiterating that Sea of Stars is going to be available through PS Plus Extra day one. And there's a playable demo out now on the PlayStation Store, in case you're not quite sold on this turn-based adventure.

I've played the demo and this game apparently checks all the boxes I expect from a JRPG. Nice visuals, excellent soundtrack, challenging gameplay. It was already on my Wishlist before, but knowing it's going to be free to play (for Plus users), it can't come soon enough!
I helped Kickstart this game a few years ago and couldn't be more excited to finally play this game! I've read all the Kickstarter/Developer updates as soon as I receive them like it's a new Nintendo Power arriving in the mail. Yasunori Mitsuda who composed the majority of the OST for Chrono Trigger joined the Sea of Stars team to work as a guest composer which is pretty big deal!

“Goes gold” (a term referring to the physical version), the irony being most people will be playing it digitally via PS+ extra or GamePass 😂
