@czDante92 it's because most of japan live in cities and ever since the handheld market took off, nothing has come close. A handheld PS6 would do better there than the main one.

This will he the first Kiwami and the first LAD game in general I don't buy. Was never a fan of the original, consider it easily the worst in the series like most fans do, and the orphanage minigames just make me want it even less. Shame because I usually love their side games and would want to play Damage Control.

Never bought Royal. Last time I bought a rerelease was Persona 3 FES and that's because I didnt have the original which was harder to get at the time

@Cjam36 No it's not a mini PC. Those are designed for utility purposes which is obvious from their components. This is closer to a console while still being a PC.

This is absolutely a competitor. It isn't like that stream only console that died years ago. It's not niche. It's going to challenge the PS5 and the PS6. I've had Steam Deck for a couple of years and been playing console and PC games for decades.

People here have no idea why this is going to compete. It has the best of PC, Steam, and console pros.

I got my Steam Deck + a 'backbone' for my phone. Btw there are a bunch of good manufacturers for mobile controller attachments these days. A lot more to choose from. Some can even plug directly into the port so you dont have to use bluetooth. I saw a premium one that folds in when not in use so it's really compact.

I just wish we could get a more official remote play app for SD instead of using Chiaki. It's great but can catch you out (and the sony account site you need to use doesnt work on browsers on SteamOS for some reason)

I preordered FF7 Remake and played at midnight launch because at the time I thought SE were being honest when they promised a faithful remake (detractors love to throw the 1:1 argument but nobody wanted or expected a 1:1 anyway).

I bought part 2 a little later after launch because I was burned by the fact Remake wasn't actually a remake but a sequel with bad KH style writing, but I was willing to give SE a second chance. They said part 2 would be more faithful. It was the opposite.

So after two installments of a sequel series with horrible writing, I'm not even sure I will buy part 3. I figure a lot of people are thinking the same. I feel sales will actually be lower despite being multiplatform because you may well have too many disillusioned OG/FF fans, the people who are the reason the company even exists today, and people who havent touched both of the released games feeling they have to commit to buying and playing/finishing off one or both of the first two + Integrade to even touch part 3.

Even much newer console games has the ai reading inputs but on the harder settings. Funny to see it happening on the easiest modes.

Got my hopes up for a second. At least a Quest game is coming to PSVR2. It has a few great exclusives I want to play one day.

I was never going to buy it anyway. I completed the first game but that early enthusiasm was eroded fairly quick as I went through it. It's a shame because Obsidian used to be one of my favourite devs.

Why not. PC hardware has been doing it forever. Enough generations and the difference is noticeable. Technically it just needs more MORE power. But personally i think it needs something novel to change the experience to be a true generation change

I owned this game since it came out and I still don't know what manga he is from. I even used him a lot, especially in the beach volleyball minigame.

Top action gameplay with a weak plot. NG is so back.

Naughty Dog peaked with Uncharted 2 anyway. Nothing they made since has been as good.

It's the least good of the available versions. The psx or psp versions with romhacks are superior.

Wish they would make TLOU2 a monthly game. I don't care enough about it to buy it. Took me years to bother to finish the first game as it just wasn't interesting enough.

I was very active with Stars for the credit. Not just the 5 but I was getting 10, 15, 20 euro credit.

This new thing is just the equivalent of buying the collector's edition of a game except you have to work for it first.

I have zero excitement for this for some reason. Too many Japanese based games in the last couple of years maybe.

About to do a 5th run and platinum it. Not even remotely scary unlike the OG games. There's no reason to avoid this game just because you saw a DF video showing some technical hiccup.

I played this and Cronos back to back and both had real head scratcher stories.

@Balaam_ the attention DF gets is severely overblown. People hang off their videos like it's gospel.

This sounds inferior to the emulated PSX version with the Lion War mod. I will stick to that one.

I seem to be the only one here actually playing this game on the Pro. I'm near the end of my first playthrough and I've had no shimmering. The frame rate bombed once when I killed a large enemy while facing a path blockage that disintegrates when it dies. Pretty funny moment. Other than that the game has been perfect for me.

How much for a 60fps patch? I still have this in my backlog and won't touch it until then.

It's a decent game but I can't bring myself to call it a horror. It's just not scary. I have been approaching it like any other action game with collectibles.
