Blanka's Introduction in the Street Fighter Movie Is Just Perfect 1

The live action Street Fighter movie continues to pass the sniff test, with this scene introducing Jason Momoa’s Blanka.

Much like previous trailers for the upcoming film, it all looks absolutely ridiculous in the best possible way.

The fight appears to take place in some kind of penitentiary, with David Dastmalchian’s M. Bison overlooking the action.

We see Ryu chained up, as a feral Blanka arrives onto the scene, electrocuting another prisoner, complete with video game-style skeleton effect.

Ryu tells Blanka he doesn’t want to fight, before getting locked into battle anyway and firing off a hadoken. It’s total nonsense, but in the best possible way.

If the whole movie’s like this 60-second clip – and that does very much appear to be the case – then I’m going to be smiling from ear-to-ear through the whole thing.

The film’s due out on 16th October.
