I don't care if a game has microtransactions, as long as the game itself is good.

@Deoxyr1bose TN have never made a soulslike. The last few games have been Ninja Gaiden hybrids that become progressively easier with each game. They have some FromSoft inspirations. RotR is the closest but still more Nioh than a Soulslike. Nioh is 100% not a soulslike. If you tried to play that game like it was a Souls game you'd struggle a lot.

William is also a character creation option in this, just like Nioh 2.

Technically America is the East. Since Japan is west of there.

You should be calling this a solid game that's worth playing.

I wish Phantom Liberty was a full game. It had a much better story than the main game, not that the main game was bad or anything.

Steam players and I guess PC exclusive players in general are the most entitled people. Seems like every week Steam players are making a mountain out of something while review bombing.

@Matroska the only good things about Remake and Rebirth is the combat and music. The visuals too, to an extent.

Remake comes out - Finally FF7 has been remade in modern glory! Nope, we were misled. It's a sequel with KH level of story changing nonsense.

Rebirth comes out - We now know it isn't FF7 remade in modern glory. We are afraid of how much worse things can get. The dev team didn't learn their lesson from the previous game. Hype is reduced.

Part 3 will come out. Even less hype due to even more story changing nonsense. They will sell even less.

People can choose to blame what they want but sales don't lie. All the OG fans who made Square successful were expecting the promised faithful remake. New fans were confused by the new sequel story or flat out disappointed by the plot holes.

Remember review bombing can be 10s as well. It's more of an 8/10. I think the rating is inflated.

@C25CLOUD Nioh is not a souls game. It's a TN game. This is a silly mistake some people make. Its gameplay is nothing like souls games. The only similarity is the UI. Any other similar feature has existed for decades.

KH fans must be overloaded in recent years after they got KH: Remake & KH: Rebirth now KH4.

Looks like they smushed SMT and Persona together so of course I'm going to be getting it.

Just don't have grinding at all. Plenty of games have achieved that over the years.

@Shadcai they should avoid Obsidian too. They are not good at delivering issue free games. If Obsidian developed something the scale of BG3 it would be a massive fire that would take months to fix, if at all.

Rebirth dropping down like it should. I can see the final game selling way less than it could have because of the writing changes.

I went from max excitement pre-Remake to indifferent and cautious with Rebirth to not even caring about part 3. I'll tune in for the Weapons if anything. The story is horrible.

Rebirth was a disappointment. The hackjob to the story took the shine off the gameplay and music.

LAD, Helldivers, and Dragon's Dogma 2 are all better games.

120 hours and a platinum trophy. I'm ready for the expansion. Haters are clueless. Framerate issue is overplayed just like the microtransactions were. It's not bad enough to ruin the experience.

Missable quests aren't as bad this time around. Especially regarding trophies.

Way too much hate going on here. To say Helldivers is vastly superior is sensationalist. Feels like it's personal.

@Mortal I paid for D2 and spent countless hours on the game. Not once did I feel swindled when it went free to play. I got my money's worth easily and if it meant other people got to try it out then good.

I noticed less people crying about live service games lately. I guess the most popular game and one of the most fun games right now, Helldivers 2, being live service with microtransactions has killed their already weak arguement.

Live service isn't inherently bad. Games being bad is bad. Like Suicide Squad. That's bad.

@MikeOrator I want good gameplay but the eye candy is a bonus I suppose. Still would prefer a badass dude if I had the choice.

This would be great if it happened. I've never liked the PSP instanced level limitations existing in modern versions.

@ApostateMage pawns are so much better this time. I love the conversations and that you can tell them to go when they suggest something.

I'll play if the gameplay is good enough. Nothing else really appeals.

Funny how people think DD2 doesn't hit 60fps because of hardware restrictions. It's optimisation and it will be rectified. A Pro will more likely hit a much higher FPS in future as in by the time it actually releases.

The micro transactions in this game are being severely over-exaggerated by people (as usual). Not once have I seen them advertised in game and not once have I been compelled to visit the store to fix an issue. People need to calm down.

It's a wonderful game but yes the frame rates are an issue. They actually slow the game down.
