Re: Check Your Emails, Tomorrow Children

Anyone want a free code? Can't get on the Playstation tomorrow. Was really hoping to get a whole weekend out of this, and maybe they will extend it, but I'd rather not take the chance and let it go to waste like that.

Re: Game of the Year: #3 - The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt (PS4)

Its_badW0lf

lol nah joking, please take me back <3 <3

But in all seriousness, Bloodborne would be behind this one at every twist and turn, even though I loved it a great deal. Story telling got nothing on the Witcher, the world is not as rich, and comparing the worlds and setting, you have a lot more variety in TW3.

BUT, combat in Bloodborne is an undeniable win over The Witcher. Then again, it is to be expected, as a trademark of the Dark Souls works.

Re: Talking Point: Which PS2 Games Would You Play on PS4?

Its_badW0lf

@GlynCR They can have it coexisting, it would not be the first time a buy feature would work alongside a subscription/rent system, it could actually bring more people in, that would otherwise be a bit resistant to get a subscription for a couple of games they've played ages ago.

Re: Rumour: Is Sony Preparing a Shock No Man's Sky Release?

Its_badW0lf

@kyleforrester87 What keeps me getting back to Destiny is the collector bit in me really, I'd feel great and abandon the game as soon as I've had all the end gear stuff. MNS though, it's the exploring bit of it, it's a whole universe of infinite possibilities, a whole universe of players that you might just bump into or you might be exploring uncharted territories that will get you ranked for new discoveries. Procedural caves is all right but you're going to always have the feeling of "it is all the same". It just does not have this discovery feel to it. Of course I haven't touched Diablo in quite a while, heard they did a number on updates that changed it all.

But of course this is me wishing it can be all that it could be, and they claim to be. Just the prospect of exploring the universe and keep on being surprised by different worlds and a total sandbox approach to my own path trough it that would make it for me. In truth, I just wanted to be an astronaut when I was little.

Re: Gamescom 2015: It's Very Likely There'll Be More PS4 Remasters, Says Sony

Its_badW0lf

@get2sammyb Why even change it at all?

Keep the retro feeling I say, work with resolution instead of textures, keep it as it was. Those games survived to the day without any sort of patches and they're still alive and well in the hearts of the fans. I don't need it to look good. I want it to play like it once did.

MediEvil collection for me pretty please

Re: Gamescom 2015: We Want to Be More Respectful of Players' Time with Destiny, Says Bungie

@ToOGoodOfAPlaya I understand what you're saying but that is just simply impossible. Vanguard sellers would get you up to max level for the raid in the first place, not to mention Xur selling exotic gear pieces to give you a proper boost. One thing I can't deny is the problem of the weekly locks, but then again, it worked for them hasn't it, people return every week, play a bit more, and if you want proof of it just look at the time they claim we all put into it from day one.

Take my example, 4 hours daily after work mainly off during the weekends for seeing my friends and going out, one character each endgame activity will keep me occupied for the week, there is no lack of content issue even if it is repetitive, and I keep on doing it with groups that prove to be so much fun. Even taking a group of people that have never done VoG can be a rewarding experience in itself, screw the loot.

Playing about 500 hours I still am to get stuff like fatebringer, and vision of confluence, I tried completing the armor sets for each raid. Now I'm moving on until the Taken King arrives, and people are looking at it not being such a time sink as it is now, maybe it will change my stance on this game, maybe I'll be happier taking it casually, I know more time for other games would be quite good too, but overall, as I and some other people mentioned before, the line of progression is and always was quite straightforward. You don't need RGN drops to reach max level, certainly not now with the vendors selling max light gear by beating a level 32 event, which is the base level for regular gear anyway.

The problem with this is, maybe people playing this game right now and that kept on playing since day one, are doing it for the sheer grinding addiction to it. So many games that are played for years and years that rely on purely grinding your way to the top and then some more when the caps are changed, dlc released, the likes of WoW and such, which maybe completely unfamiliar to the core console players. That on itself is part of the "charm" that destiny holds for its players, and as with everything, some people love it, some people hate it.

Re: Some Massive Gameplay Changes Are Coming to Destiny

Its_badW0lf

Really guys, progression on this is really straight forward already. Beat the story, complete the DLC, do either PVP or Vanguard stuff, get the legendary gear from the vendors and xur for exotics, now you're 30 at least, jump into Crota for 32 level gear - finding people to play is very easy using websites such as Destinylfg.net for example - nightfall strikes as well, Prison of Elders will get you 34 after 2 or 3 weeks, boom, you're 34. and this is not counting on etheric lights from either iron banner or nightfall strikes.

I for one am really disappointed with these news. It is the only viable way to distinguish people you wanted to play the game with and people that don't really know what they're doing and will only have you waste 3 hours trying to complete Skolas for example. Next thing you know you'll be paired off with players with blue gear at max level with no good weapons.

Re: Spotify Arrives Exclusively on PS4, PS3 Today

Its_badW0lf

Anyone that has tried this, how is the control in game? Do you have to exit whatever you're doing to change the song or does it work nicely through the PS menu?
Also, in game song changing without the menu would be so sweet. Also quite improbable.

Re: The Last Guardian Lives to See Yet Another Day

Its_badW0lf

The year is 2067, long after the release of Half Life 6, people still reminisce about the fabled Legend of "The Last Guardian", telling our children's children about the great promise behind that mythical IP, with a hopeful tear in our remaining good eye, as history's biggest ongoing wind-up still goes strong.
There's an epic saga to be filmed here.

Re: Lamborghinis Making a Beeline for PS4 Exclusive DriveClub

Its_badW0lf

Ok, that settles it, I'm SO buying the Season Pass.

The very best example of an amazing come back here boys and girls, why even wait for the PS+ version when you have probably paid much more money for a much less sure thing - I'm looking at you 1886. At this point not even doing it for principle is a sane reason.

Best 20 quid I've ever spent on a game that I initially wrote off for good.

Re: Actually, Helldivers Isn't One of Your Free PS Plus Games in March

Its_badW0lf

@get2sammyb That's actually a fair point Sammy, I'm sure I'd play the hell out of this one if it was on the IGC, but now I'm not so sure. And to be honest, it'd not be the first time I'd invest on a IGC game unexpectedly after I had a go at it, got the Outlast DLC as soon as it was out, would never have thought of spending any money on it if I didn't get to try it out for free.

Re: Rise of the Tomb Raider Could Still Plot Lara Croft's Revival on PS4

Its_badW0lf

There is absolutely no amount of noise that will turn this around now people. I do feel the same way, it seems quite unfair that this series in particular - which as always been available widely throughout the platforms - is now an X-Box exclusive, even if a timed one. Of course that Microsoft will not want the exact timeframe out there, they wouldn't even have confirmed the exact details of this exclusivity deal if there wasn't such an uproar, it's the uncertainty that will make people jump the gun and buy an XB1 because they want to try the game, NOW. Might be 3 months, might be 6 months, one year. But of one thing we can be sure, they are most likely contractually bound to keep the curtain down until the deal is close to an end.
