Dynasty Warriors: Origins 'Major DLC' Announced Alongside Remaster of an Old Game

If they remaster old titles they better make the characters move faster. The ps2 games had sloooow walking speed

I don't care for origins. I want DW10.
Remaster is interesting. I suppose they will start with 2.

If they remaster 4 or 5, do you think they would bundle in the xtreme legends as well?

I was playing DW3 and pumped like 40 hours into it before the disc died. Need to transfer the save over to a PC and continue on an emulator because I was enjoying it despite some levels making me want to punch the TV.

Hopefully an ‘xtreme legends’ game! I’d love a ‘modernised’ DW where I can take over Japan with my custom merry band of absolute freaks

Not generally a fan of remasters or remakes but if they remaster DW5 that would be some nice nostalgia bait personally. Loved that game as a kid

Much preferred DW Origins to previous titles in the series - the use of the single protagonist worked much better in general, as the devs could spend much more time on story and combat for 1, rather than a frankly ridiculous number of characters. You also only needed to upgrade 1 character rather than waste time on several until you unlocked the 1 you wanted.

DWO runs at a very good franerate in graphics mode on Pro (70-100fps) [ref "All games with PS5 Pro Enhancements" on Resetera], with performance mode on pro being largely redundant.

@Hyena_socks I would second this! I always liked the stripped back strategy of making a random officer and rising through the ranks to become emperor.

I've played Dynasty Warriors from 3 until 7. I really hated it when they got rid of the characters having unique weapons. Once they dropped that every character felt the same and it felt like the game lost a huge chunk of personality.

There was a survey a couple of years ago and I said DW4 was the game they should remaster. I'm sure they take my opinion specifically very seriously. I've been exposing myself to 5's soundtrack lately and it's great too.

DW3 should be remastered it was their best game

@nessisonett Yeah DW 3 had that issue but it's one of the best game in the series I stopped after 3 to be honest I had enough. It was probably one of my favourite PS2 games probably put 500hr+ into maxing out each character getting their unique weapons
