We suppose every aspect of the PS5 is a potential selling point and that includes its multimedia functionality.

While we’re not in the PS3 era anymore, where the Blu-ray player was one of the main reasons to own the system initially, there are still plenty of people who use their console to stream Netflix and various other apps.

This trailer – which declares the device the “best place to watch” – leans into that, showcasing a curated collection of content that’s likely to appeal to PlayStation owners.

Of course, there are better ways to watch streaming media these days: most televisions will come with apps installed, and generally run at a lower wattage than Sony’s console.

But we suppose that’s not an option for everyone, and the PS5 does generally get the job done.
