Interesting choice of movies. Ran is fantastic but definitely not the best Kurosawa you could choose. 13 Assassins is fine but essentially a remake with extra gore to set it apart. The social media discourse over a popcorn bucket is predictably boring.
@get2sammyb if anything Wolverine solidified their stance on early announcements. I am actually okay with this too. There is so much to play I would rather not no about games until they are 6-12 months from launch.
My car died (after 21 years) so I am buying a much newer model of the same car today. It has been a huge distraction from my career with Draw Bridge so I can’t wait to get this wrapped up and get back to my deliveries.
Seems smart. With Xbox going multi platform there is less need for the tech to be proprietary. Should also stem some issues with versions launching better on Xbox than their PS5 counterparts. Shrewd.
@Robocod Amy Hennig hasn’t released a game in much longer than Neil and has abandoned multiple projects and had multiple cancellations. Not sure it would be better off. The secret sauce was a mix of all those talents together at ND.
@AhmadSumadi I feel like we all know streaming/pass services are terrible for the inherent value of the product. It’s just that consumers view it as such a good deal they don’t mind the overall product degrading and the effect it has on the value of the workforce to the producing entity. Huge bummer. Game pass has crazy value to certain consumers but will long term be viewed as a net negative by many.
Lots of negativity here. I will pre order it as I have with every PlayStation and take a few days off to enjoy it! I still get excited with new hardware releases it’s an event that comes but every seven years or so.
You can sue anyone for anything. Most of the time it’s a waste of everyone’s time and money. It’s a good thing for lawyers who don’t care about their oaths though.
@GirlVersusGame Eh you gotta take it with a grain of salt. I’m not offended when people say things like that about Americans because it doesn’t describe me at all. And a lot of Americans, like people from any country, do kinda suck.
@GirlVersusGame The U.S. is massive and extremely diverse, arguably more so than any other nation. But it’s easier to just say they ruin everything etc.
@Oram77 I certainly am. Going for the platinum so I need to do like 90% of all side content so just wandering around making sure I don’t miss anything. It really is a fantastic game.
@ashipaw Stellar Blade pushed roughly 9 million less copies than TLOU2 thus far. TLOU part 1… a remaster of a remaster sold 2 million copies compared to an estimated 1 million units moved by stellar blade.
@Th3solution Agree 100%. Although I think at least 80% of the conversation around the game is just absurd. Regardless I played it four times and got the platinum twice so it’s pretty clear where I landed on in 🤣
@Th3solution People rarely mention the gameplay. It’s too bad because moving in and out of stealth using the verticality of levels and swapping between weapons is fantastic when mastered.
Even at $80 new that’s cheaper than when I was a kid. I am fine with it. Will continue my current habits. Games I am excited about I will buy full price and games I am interested in I will buy later on sale. Unless I’m bored and then I will buy them earlier.
@nomither6 Toxic positivity is the belief that people should maintain a positive mindset no matter how dire or difficult a situation is. The concord situation. This is overzealous brand management. A completely different thing.
@LikelySatan It’s part of the charm. If kojimas name isn’t in the open credits ten times… is it even a Kojima game? (I loved the first one though I’m there day one for the second).

Re: You Might Need Roblox to Play Some Future Like a Dragon Games
@somnambulance Same. Luckily there are so many games I would be set for life regardless.
Re: Sony Santa Monica's Next Big Thing Not a New IP But May 'Feel Like One'
@Athrum ND is a little outside the norm. They basically needed to prove to the world they have an imminent release after the debacle of TLOU online.
Re: Cory Barlog Busy on Sony Santa Monica's 'Next Big Thing'

Re: The Last of Us Part 2's Chronological Update Out Now on PS5, PC, Lets You Play Through the Story in Linear Order
@JackiePriest it will certainly ruin some moments between Joel and Ellie. Porch scene in particular.

Re: Mass Xbox Layoffs Begin, Rare Game Everwild Reportedly Cancelled
@MrPeanutbutterz you would have thought we would have learned when the same thing happened to the music and movie industries in the past decades.

@crackeastwood2 I think they actually over-innovated with the One if anything.

Re: Death Stranding 2 (PS5) - A Masterpiece in Every Sense
@Liamsufc1 can’t be that many 7/10s it’s a 90 on metacritic.

Re: Poll: What Review Score Would You Give DOOM: The Dark Ages?
Just finished the final level about ten minutes ago. I really enjoyed it, 8/10. Going to clean up the platinum.

@Ravix 🤣 stop please
Re: First Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 DLC Out This Thursday on PS5
@PlatinumMikey it’s on a separate list not required for platinum but is required to 100%. Haven’t decided if I am going for it or not.

~70 hours in and still in Trotsky. Game is incredible and it will be a while before I get to any dlc.

@Deadlyblack same guy immediately turned off V for Vendetta when Natalie Portman’s head was shaved.

Re: PS5's Share of Active US Players Is Slowly Beginning to Pummel Xbox
@Toot1st yea that’s a much different assertion than I was responding to.
Re: PS5's Share of Active US Players Is Slowly Beginning to Pummel Xbox
@nomither6 unfortunately that’s never coming back.
Re: PS5's Share of Active US Players Is Slowly Beginning to Pummel Xbox
@nomither6 wouldn’t his proposition be good for gamers? Not increasing prices further in spite of inflation would be a big win for consumers.
Re: PS5's Share of Active US Players Is Slowly Beginning to Pummel Xbox
@Frmknst that would make it one of the largest subscription services on the planet… 0 chance that’s true
Re: Rockstar Silences the Sceptics, Confirms GTA 6 Trailer Was a Mix of Gameplay and Cutscenes on Base PS5
@LifeGirl well the answer is simple. No one else has spent as much money and time on a game.

Even at $80 new that’s cheaper than when I was a kid. I am fine with it. Will continue my current habits. Games I am excited about I will buy full price and games I am interested in I will buy later on sale. Unless I’m bored and then I will buy them earlier.
Re: Reaction: Switch 2 Looks Solid But the Many PS5, PS4 Ports Won't Spook Sony Yet
@PloverNutter to be fair I think I paid $90 for several Nintendo games in the 90s…

@Oram77 Naughty Dog games so long as they don’t make a single narrative choice they disagree with based on past comments…

@nomither6 What… that’s just brand management. It would be valid to think it’s miscalculated brand management. Do you know what toxic positivity is?
Re: The Last of Us Popularity Surges as Season 2 TV Trailer Breaks Records
@Oram77 people are selective with memory and narrative when it comes to this game.
Re: Intergalactic PS5 Game All About Faith, Religion, and 'Being Lonely'
@wildcat_kickz that is actually a high completion rating compared to most games.
Re: Abby Actress Kaitlyn Dever Aware of Outsized Expectations for Role in HBO's The Last of Us
Really glad I enjoyed the second game and that it sold so well. I hope they do something equally ambitious in the third.
Re: The Last of Us Gets Its Own Limited Edition DualSense PS5 Controller
Why this color scheme? What about the choice says TLOU? Should have been earthy and fern green or something.
